Lesson #1: Trust no one.
Eve has a good life. She wakes up each day, kisses her husband Nate, and heads off to teach math at the local high school. All is as it should be. Except…
Last year, Caseham High was rocked by a scandal involving a student-teacher affair, with one student, Addie, at its center. But Eve knows there is far more to these ugly rumors than meets the eye.
Addie can’t be trusted. She lies. She hurts people. She destroys lives. At least, that’s what everyone says.
But nobody knows the real Addie. Nobody knows the secrets that could destroy her. And Addie will do anything to keep it quiet…
From the New York Times bestselling author Freida McFadden comes a chilling story of twisted secrets and long-awaited revenge.

Title: Unputdownable Psychological Thriller with Jaw-Dropping Twists!
Review: Freida McFadden has done it again with "The Teacher," a gripping psychological thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. This book is an instant #1 New York Times bestseller for a reasonâit's absolutely riveting! The story centers around Eve, a seemingly ordinary math teacher at Caseham High. Her life appears perfect, but last year's scandal involving a student-teacher affair still haunts the school. The scandal's central figure, Addie, is a complex character shrouded in mystery and deceit. As rumors swirl, Eve uncovers dark secrets that challenge everything she thought she knew. One of the standout aspects of this book is the multiple POVs. McFadden masterfully captures the distinct personalities and quirks of each character, making the narrative rich and immersive. The different perspectives add depth and complexity to the story, enhancing the suspense and making the twists even more shocking.Speaking of twists, McFadden delivers them in spades. Just when you think you've figured everything out, she pulls the rug out from under you with a bigger twist that leaves you reeling. The plot turn in the epilogue is particularly mind-blowing and unexpected, a hallmark of McFadden's storytelling prowess. It's worth mentioning that the beginning is a bit slow, but stick with it. The buildup is essential for the explosive revelations that follow. The pacing picks up significantly, and you won't be able to put the book down as the tension escalates. However, this book does come with trigger warnings for themes of adult-adolescent relationships and violence. These elements are handled with sensitivity, but they are integral to the story's darker undertones. If these themes are overwhelming for you, consider this before diving in.In conclusion, "The Teacher" is a phenomenal read that showcases Freida McFadden's talent for crafting psychological thrillers. The ending is jaw-dropping, and the entire book is a testament to her skill in creating unforgettable narratives. If you're a fan of thrillers, this book should be at the top of your reading list.I highly recommend "The Teacher" and look forward to hearing your thoughts once you've experienced this wild ride!

Title: Great ending for sure ! Typical Freida!
Review: Frieda has such a way of creating an ah ha moments in her books at the end. I have to say this book took a while to build up to the climax. Once you reach it though it all unfolds perfectly. I stayed up for hours reading it. If you can stick with the story for a while because it is drawn out itâs a good read. I will say itâs unfortunate these things happen daily. I donât want to give say what happens but itâs common.

Title: Best twist so far!
Review: Sometimes these books get a little too dark for my personal taste (just me- not against the author in any way, but man oh man I cannot stop reading. I always know there is a twist coming, but this one had several and we're the best yet! I have read several of her books and this one got me the best. What a satisfying ending. This was a great ride! Bravo Freida McFadden! You are an amazing writer!

Title: What the heck, lol
Review: I really enjoyed the book. It's my first foray into Freida McFadden. I don't require a happy ending from the books I read, but I do require a good ending and this book provides that.I lk wish we coulda heard from her one last time, wish we coulda known whether she ever talks to her parents again, wish I could know whether she ever tells J she's wrong for that too but those are small things. The book, in the overall scheme of things, has a good ending. 10/10 rec.

Title: A very poetic storyâ¦.
Review: Hmmmâ¦.I struggled with the rating for this one. Itâs more of a 3-3.5 âï¸ however itâs the ending that cinched it a little more for me. This book is a page turner. There are three main characters: Addie - 16 yr old student, Eve Bennett - HS math teacher married to Nate Bennett - HS English teacher whose also involved in the school newspaper and poetry magazine. Addie is a extremely unpopular girl. Sheâs evidently very plain and once again has âmudâ colored eyes and hair. Frieda uses that description of her characters features in most of the books Iâve read. Then there are the two married teachers who couldnât be more different, more unhappy together and it seems that one is waiting for the other to ask for a divorce. But one of them seeks pleasure outside the home, the other is having their cake and eating it too by setting up their chance at freedom by tricking someone else to take the fall. Itâs definitely worth the read.

Title: love it but have it a four for the ending.
Review: I loved the twist! But the last chapter was vague and I know the purpose for it but I still wanted the confirmation of my thoughts lol. The only reason I have it a four start. All in all it was a really good read and would recommend!:)

Review: ** spoiler-free review **JAW. FLOOR. WOW.Tropes/Elements:ð psychological thrillerðª mystery thrillerð suspenseðª fictionð contemporaryðª multi-POVð the intelligent psychopathðª multiple twists!I pre-ordered this book and as soon as I picked it up, I was only pulled away due to the fact that, well, Iâm human and âneededâ sleep. As soon as I woke up though, I made some coffee and carried on because I NEEDED to know what happened. The thing about Freidaâs books is that she somehow sucks me in, and just keeps pulling me further. I donât know how she does it. Itâs like I think Iâm catching on, and then *boom* another twist or turn to keep me absolutely reeling.â I am so lucky. I have a beautiful house, a fulfilling career, and a husband who is kind and mild mannered and incredibly handsome. And as Nate pulls the car onto the road and starts driving in the direction of the school, all I can think to myself is that I hope a truck blows through a stop sign, plows into the Honda, and kills us both instantly. âThis was me after that quote:gif of woman saying 'it's about to go down'And then this was me pretty much throughout the whole book, probably annoying my partner with my audible gasps and:gif from Two Broke Girls, 'NO WAY'I did predict one thing in this book though which probably was the intention, but Iâm still going to pat myself on the back for that because in Never Lie I felt like such a fool for having no clue what was going on at all, and Iâd like to think Iâve matured as a reader lol.I pre-ordered this for my Kindle a while back, so I didnât really know what this book was about and really, with Freida, I donât care to read too far into it. I know that whatever I dive into I will ð eat ð it ð up ð .Iâve been in SUCH a reading slump and this is probably the fastest Iâve ever read a book. I think that says it all!5/5

Review: I really enjoyed this book, it was a little bit uncomfortable at times. And I not sure that I liked the main characters since I kept flipping sides to who I preferred. The story is not my favourite but I loved the ending and I actually read this book in two days because I couldn't put it down. Highly recommended but he warned.... You won't stop reading this author, and each book is different.ð
