Title: Easy to Read, but I'm Skeptical it Works
Review: After traveling for vacation, the G.I issues I've been receiving since moving vanished. I assumed they were caused by coliform in the water when they returned after I came back, and although this test says there is no bacteria found in my water, the gi issues disappear when I drop brushing my teeth and cooking with it.... I suspect the test doesn't work.

Review: Our well pump had to be replaced. Once our water was up and running again we needed to test for bacteria before drinking it. This test was easy to use. The directions were very clear.After filling and shaking the bottle according to the directions, we noticed there was still powder in the bottom. Not knowing if this was a problem we wrote to Health Metric using their website. Within a few hours we had an answer. Powder still visible after shaking is fine. The liquid in the bottle eventually consumed it. The idea behind it is, if there is bacteria present it will eat whatever is in the bottle and turn yellow.Our test bottle remained purple to the end of the 48 hrs. This means there was no bacteria present.I would suggest, when doing this test, that you disinfect your faucet where the water comes out as well as disinfect your sink, in case the water splashes while doing the test. You want to start with as clean a situation as you can so it doesn't interfere with the result.

Review: I got the two pack. Checked the well water before we had the pump replaced. The results were very clear, solution stayed purple and clear to 48 hours. Did the second test after the pump was replaced (well was then sanitized). The solution started to get cloudy and had a layer of clear/reddish/brownish at the bottom. By 48 hours it was still mostly purple, but if you held it up to the light it could be interpreted as being a little “yellow-ish” but still had definite purple/red qualities. Per their website, anything that’s not “completely yellow throughout” is a negative. I emailed the company for my own peace of mind. They emailed me the pictures, that directly contradict what’s on their website. The water was also sent to a certified lab, and it came up negative. So who knows. Seems to be a lot of inconsistency and unknown with the results.
