The first novel in a sparkling and sexy new contemporary romance series about four best friends looking for love in all the right places—and the one woman who discovers that it takes more than an impeccable bedside manner to make dreams come true.…
Lauren Hastings is finally ready to enter the real world. At twenty-six, she’s about to get her master’s in psychology, and she’s well on her way to beginning the career of her dreams—until she suffers public humiliation and has to endure something she thought she’d never have to deal with again: a part-time job.
A gig at Trinity Hospital isn’t exactly Lauren’s definition of a good time, but Dr. Scott Jacobs quickly changes her mind. He’s straight-up gorgeous, and he always gets what he wants. And that includes Lauren. It’s an ideal arrangement for both of them. No strings. Just fun—at least at first.
But feelings quickly begin to run deeper than either Lauren or Scott is willing to admit, causing issues neither of them want to confront. After all, who wants to risk the perfect relationship on something as terrifying, as messy, and as unpredictable as love?

Title: Drop what you're doing and buy this book now!
Review: When I pick up a book by Elizabeth Hayley I have high expectations for witty banter and moments that make me truly laugh out loud. This book had that and SO much more! Scott is a young, hot doctor who in the beginning appears to be cocky and a bit full of himself. Lauren is a smart, sassy graduate student who finds herself in a financial bind due to an incident at a bar. To get out of her financial troubles, she goes to work in Dr. Scott's office. This is where the fun begins... I'm not going to get into the details of the story because I think you should read and enjoy them for yourself. I will say that there were funny moments that had me laughing out loud, sad moments that had me tearing up, steamy moments that had me blushing, and everything in between! I was hooked from the beginning bar scene all the way until the end. I also enjoyed the supporting characters who were each unique, and I look forward to reading about them in the future! Way to go Elizabeth Hayley on another 5 star read!!

Title: Hot and sexy characters
Review: I absolutely loved this book. The story was fun and the characters were lovable. The chemistry between Scott and Lauren rolls right off the pages. They are real and strong-I don't like it when one character is weak and the other is strong. They love the strength each other brings to the relationship and never feel threatened by the other. This book was sexy and hot! I loved other books by this author but this book by far is the author's best work thus far. I can't wait for Tim's story.

Title: Paging Elizabeth Hayley... you've got yourself a winner.
Review: I remember when Elizabeth Hayley mentioned they were doing a book in relation to a doctor. They had even had a doctor in mind.I went into The Best Medicine with an open mind. Even though I found out that the lead male character's name was Scott.Scott is a doctor, Lauren is a student. together they make an interesting pair. The sexual intimacy was steamy, the story was unlike anything I had read before..I can't go into more details without giving it all away because it is all so good.I recommend you pick up this book today and take my recommendation... That's my two cents.

Title: I loved this book from start to finish!
Review: I loved this book from start to finish! The story might be simple but the characters were so enjoyable. I loved how complex they were and how relatable; they were so real. The banter between the characters was great and funny and I kept thinking "these are people I would really enjoy hanging out with" and I don't say that often about books I read. Lauren was all kinds of feisty and I love that in a romance heroine; she can totally hold her own against Scott. She was never intimated and really knew who she was. She was completely comfortable with going after Scott and getting what she wanted. The side characters were great and I cannot wait for Tim's story next. The small glimpses we got of him left me wanting more!

Title: Did not finish very degrading to wmen
Review: I was looking forward to reading this book by what was written in infomation but didnot finish reading it. I found the book very degrading to women, I am not a prude but i n this book the way the man talked to the woman was just horrible if you like smut go for it. Sex in romance novels can be quite grafic and thats ok great even as long as its done with a bit of class and respect to women.

Title: Didn't Work for Me
Review: The Best Medicine, Strictly Business #1, by Elizabeth HayleyGrade: C-I loved the concept of this book but right off I found the heroine Lauren's antics to be very annoying. The whole event that takes place in the first chapter is ridiculous and just rubbed me the wrong way. Lauren messes up pretty bad and neither she nor her parents seem to think her drunk actions were bad. Yes it wasn't entirely her fault and came down to some very bad luck but she still caused a lot of damage and incited a riot in a bar where someone could have been hurt. Trying to make all of this funny just ended up putting a bad taste in my mouth. As we continued on to Lauren meeting and working for Dr. Scott Jacobs things start to get better but not much. I really disliked how Lauren reacts to Scott. She came off as rude and arrogant instead of cute and flirty. I liked Scott but I wanted to know more about his family and I wanted some type of closure with his mother and their issues. I felt that this was thrown in for filler and was forgotten about.I am sadly disappointed with this book but would be open to reading more about Lauren's friends. They all seemed very fun and had a lot of personality. I really liked the friend dynamic of the four girls and hope to see more of them in a future book. I would most likely pass on buying this book but that's only because it didn't work for me personally.
