Title: Wonderful All-in-One PC/Desk Speakers
Review: These are exactly what I wanted from a pair of speakers for my PC desk. I bought them to replace some very cheap and old basic dell speakers that you'd find in any office building. I have some degree of experience with sound setups so I can say that these are very convenient and wonderful for the price. The highlights: * All-in-one: You have a power cable that goes into the wall, and a 3.5mm that goes into your input source. That's it. In comparison to a lot of studio labeled equipment this is very nice. * Size: They are large enough to produce sounds that feel substantial, while small enough to not be huge sitting on a desk. * Connectivity: Bluetooth setup with these is very straightforward. When connected via 3.5mm, the auto-shutoff is quite nice. After reading older reviews, it seems they have changed the default setting these ship with, so that by default they no longer produce the obnoxious sound that has been reported on wakeup. All in all these have turned out to be the perfect speaker pair for my desk setup. Good quality for a good price and no headaches.

Title: Great sounding desktop speakers
Review: These speakers sound terrrific. I use them as desktop speakers. The high, low and midrange frequencies are very pronounced. Make sure you use an equalizer to get the best sound from your music as I do. I fully recommend getting these speakers if your looking for great sound at a decent price.

Title: Totally satisfied. Better than I anticipated.
Review: I previously had some Bose speakers attached to my Desktop computer and all of a sudden they started buzzing. I wasn't able to troubleshoot the reason. So I looked for some different speakers and ran across these JBLs. After looking at reviews on Amazon and elsewhere I decided to try them. They are heads above what I got out of the Bose speakers. I am no audiophile but these speakers are the best I have heard in this price range. There is an annoying startup sound when turning them on each time which I sadly learned cannot be disabled. However, if you leave them on then that problem is solved. I am not sure if they actually turn off but the lights on the main speaker do turn off after a few minutes and when using them again, it takes a few seconds for them to turn on.I love these speakers and am glad I bough tthem.

Title: Good quality
Review: So I bought these mostly for gaming, music listening and movies. Honestly, I think they're a bit overkill for that, but I don't consider that a complaint.I've seen some reviews regarding the bass response. I can see how that would be true if you're using them as they're intended or for listening to really bassy heavy music like House, EDM, Rap, etc. I'm mostly a rocker and haven't had the same experience. Your mileage may vary, but I've done a bunch of jazz, classic rock, metal and 80's pop... They sound great. The kick drum, bass guitar and low guitar tones are crystal clear.Like I said, they're a bit overkill for multi media use, but they have my full recommendation for anyone looking to step up like I was. I got tired of cheap, flat sounding speakers and I decided to spend a little more on a reliable brand. No regrets whatsoever. Mine do have the annoying startup noise a few other people mentioned and it does suck. I haven't figured out a way to disable it.Other than that, install was really easy and there's no blemishes on the speakers. I'm hard wired so I have no experience with the Bluetooth performance. I only removed one star because of the startup noise. It's really loud and unnecessary and I almost fell out of my seat the first time I turned them on, totally forgot about it.

Title: Buy the best - don't buy anything else...
Review: I know some of the stuff they sell here is cheaper. Don't send Chinese speakers back to AMAZON. They don't like it much, and we all pay more money because of it.A quick story. JBL was founded by James Bullough Lansing (1902–1949), an American audio engineer and loudspeaker designer best known for establishing two audio companies that bear his name, Altec Lansing and JBL, the latter taken from his initials. He still has plants all over, including here in Los Angeles, where he started his first company, End of story - back to review. You are an adult now. When you buy junk, you know it. If you are looking for a professional set of speakers for your home, I promise, you've found it.JBL104 Reference monitors are compatible with most desktop and laptop computers, as well as home or professional recording equipment.Three sets of inputs allow connection with professional equipment, personal music players and consumer devices.Front-panel input control selects Bluetooth, aux, RCA, TRS or combines all inputs.Front-panel volume control and headphone jack with speaker mute feature.Reference mixes via Bluetooth 5.0 streaming.Proprietary coaxial driver combines 4.5-Inch (118 mm) woofer and .75-Inch (19 mm) soft-dome tweeter for transparency and wide sweet spot.Integrated 60-watt Class D power amplifier; 30 watts distributed to each speaker.Master monitor includes electronics for the extension monitor, minimizing wiring and clutter.Available in black (104-bt) and white (104-btw) variants.Purchase includes: JBL104-BT Reference monitors (pair); 1x extension monitor speaker wire (2-Conductor, 2 meters); 1x 3.5 mm to RCA audio cable; 1x power Cord; 1x quick setup guide. These are really, really good speakers. They can make a lot of sound for your Bossa Nova parties. They are just incredible for when you and your lover want to listen to a romantic Frank Sinatra.Yes, they will play Led Zeppelin better for your kids than you heard it when you were a kid.I bought all the cheap foreign nonsense. You're an adult now. Spend the extra $20 and get the best.Only the best, made right here in the USA. Three thumbs up. Add to cart.

Review: I scoured the reviews online over this speaker and it was a very mixed bag of results but let me bust a few of those opinions concerning this very capable desktop speaker from JBL. I purchased my set from Amazon myself and am not a sponsored reviewer. Before I go into details I will say that this review is kept within this context of the class the speaker is in which is important. Firstly the build quality of the speaker is very robust and also refined, no sharp edges or rough finishes here from JBL. The grill is is very well fitted and strong again nothing rough here at all. The ABS plastic is not thin and gives a good solid all round feel. There is no side play in the buttons and volume potentionmeter, firm to press and a nice firm staged turn on the volume dial, very well housed with no wobble. The white leds are not overly bright and so don't distract as they might with some people. So no complaint here at all with the build quality, 10/10! A really good size for my 1m wide desk.Sound quality is where a vast amount of subjective opinion arises. Personally speaking I think they are spot on for the job which I bought them for which is a PC speaker that will be used for most contemporary multimedia purposes including Spotify, Apple Music, You Tube etc. The sound of these speakers are not lacking by any means as some have probably a little overly harshly judged. Saying the bass is non existent is utter silliness and I can only say that whomever said that must be using at least 8 inch Studio Monitors for the last 10 years. The JBL104 bt has plenty of bass in the context of the design and purpose and it is very nicely balanced too. These are a very upfront sound. The speakers seemed to loosen up a little after a few hours from new so it is worth giving them a little time. Everything about the sound is balanced clean and precise and really has plenty of volume to give out too. Getting these to half way on the volume and there was plenty of good clean sound flowing into my 5 x 5m room so these do get quite loud contrary to what some reviews might say. I mean if Mojaxx form DJ City liked these then that says something about the performance of the 104bt, he is a pro DJ who knows his gear and in whom I find myself in agreement over alot of tech. The stereo imaging is excellent and these are a very centric sound, much like the Rotel A11 Tribute where the sound centers in between the speakers and on a desk it shines and sounds like the band is directly in front of you singing live! Again, this contrary to some reviews saying the sound stayed inside the speaker, it certainly doesn't on my desk. The connectivity is generous with the balanced and unbalanced inputs are solid. I have not had chance to test them yet but I don't have any doubts about the performance there either considering what I have tested so far. The Bluetooth is excellent, very clean and without fault in sound quality and connection is stable so far using Spotify amd Apple Music on the PC. You tube testing to come a little later. The headphone received some criticisms on Reddit when the 104 was released but again unless the later models were better tuned I really found no fault here. I tested the headphone with my budget but rather good Stagg SPM 235 In Ear Monitors and again sheer sonic clarity! Very nice. I have not tested the Aux in but it is also probably just as good as everything else so far and baring in mind that it is an Aux in so will be dependent on the source material for performance. So have no doubts, this is a pro speaker, it performs like a pro speaker and in the context of design, sound and purpose the 104bt does it all very, very well. Now, are these perfect? No. There are a couple of issues that JBL could address in maybe a second version. Bluetooth is ahead of the video or in otherwords there is latency between the two. The audio hits you first followed by the video which for PC speakers is not ideal. For music is does not matter but for stuff like YouTube its not acceptable. I discovered the volume drops over wired connection, more so over the balanced connection so if you considering this speaker make sure you have at least 2vrms of output signal feeding the wired connections. Bluetooth is the loudest connection but with the lag. These are pretty much my only two gripes but I am afraid they are deal breakers as these are needed for video as well as music. I also recieved a faulty pair with the balanced connection not working on the main drive unit unless I pulled the red 1/4 inch Jack out by around 1/5th to make a connection so rather sadly I had to return the speakers via Amazon whom rectified the situation promptly. I would like to see a revised version of this speaker without bluetooth delay and better volume over wired connection as the sound quality of these speakers is excellent and would stay on my desk for years with the improvements if they were ever to arrive.

Review: I didnt want to spend a ton of cash on studio monitors for when I compose music to listen back to in ordinary environment. I watched/read tons of comparisons between the JBL and the ILoud Micro and after listening to a few samples decided that the extra (almost double) cost just didn't warrant it. So I ended up getting the JBL and man am I pleased with the result these little beauties give - honestly for the price I didn't expect a whole lot but as long as it let me listen to playback and general music then I would be happy - well they far far exceeded my expectations and can highly recommend them. If you have a small room and just need decent playback better than PC speakers then these will truly deliver - If you have a large room and need true Monitor speakers then probably the ILoud IN would be worth the cost. Great value I think the JBL are.
