With the continuous effort of inventors and experts, humane animal traps have made significant progress in the recent thirty years. It's not fit for opossum or big squirrel, since they can bite the trap broken and escape.

HOW TO CATCH THEM IN A RIGHT WAY

1. Try to place the cage in dark and gloomy places where they often appear or on the way to their nest.

2. Put the sweet-smelling and tasty bait inside and outside (lure them inside) of the cage door. Peanut and sausage are all good choices, it’s better to keep the bait fresh. (It is highly recommended to hang the bait on the hook, or put a small amount of (1oz) bait behind and on the pedal)

3. Old rats are smart and prudent, so for the first few days, keep the door open all the time until these little critters lose their guard and start to eat the bait in the cage freely, then it’s time to catch them.

Title: It’s what they advertise.
Review: It’s exactly what they advertise, a rodent sized live trap made of metal. It works like most similar live traps, is quality construction and well assembled, simple to open and set, easy to clean with soapy water, and easy to lift and carry out the caught critter with the latch mechanism that acts as handle once trap is sprung. Sensitivity of the trap is good, size is good for mouse to average Norway rat you’d find in rural areas. If you’re not catching rodents, is more likely user error than an issue with the trap. Rodents are smarter than given credit for, and will avoid a trap for a variety of reason, none of which have to do with the trap itself. Good price and value.

Title: Effective and humane
Review: I've found this trap to be very effective with both mice and rats. In fact, I've had better success with it than with the normal snap traps. I've never found the captured rodents injured.By using long-lasting bait, such as peanuts, I've caught some critters days after setting the trap. I've found that it helps to wrap the bait in a bit of screen or hardware cloth and use a twist tie to hold the bait against the back wall of the trap. That way, they have to practically stand on the trigger to get to the bait. It also helps to set the trap against the wall with the opening in the direction which you suspect the rodents to be traveling at night.Make sure you check the trap every day, or the rodent could die of dehydration, which is much less humane than a snap trap.

Review: Well made, simple to setup, good for mice, voles, chipmunks, etc. Does not really work for larger animals like rabbits or squirrels. the wire gauge is soft and likely to bend with a stronger animal caught.

Title: Works great
Review: We had bought it to catch a pack rats that had invaded our 5th wheel while parked. Was easy to set up and did the job. These 2 pack rats have now been rehomed to a state park to live rest of their lives. These traps were super light, quiet, easy to set and open.

Title: Effective-ish, good design but requires rebuild each time due to thin quality materials
Review: The design, size, and efficacy of this trap is on point and I have found it easy to set and reasonably effective (it all depends on the bait really). But one thing that detracts considerably from the utility of this trap is that it almost requires rebuilding each time it is used because the metals of the wire mesh cage and the internal trip wire are so soft: angry squirrels in survival mode tear this thing apart and if you don't get to it soon enough they've gnawed holes in the mesh and bent the trip wire and platform into dysfunction. So this requires that after dispatching the squirrel and cleaning, one has to re-bend and realign the trip mechanism parts, bend the cage back into shape, and sometimes even patch a bigger hole in the mesh. I'd happily pay a few dollars more for a cage constructed with stronger metals so this isn't a de-facto single use cage.

Review: This is a well-made light weight rodent trap. It will work for mice, shrews, voles and most rats. It is wholly unfit for squirrels or ground squirrels. They will tear it to pieces. As a side note, it’s a pretty good sparrow and pigeon trap too

Review: Good human trap for it's price. Place a heavy object on cage ( in a way that does not stop it operating) as our first Asian house mouse managed to get out after the trap being triggered. The dog may have had some role in that but I am uncertain.
