Title: It is a quality unit
Review: Great product. I had to drill a .5" hole thru my stainless sink and that went well. It is an awkward reach from under the sink attaching the nuts and hose connector. A design like most of the newer faucets where the connection point hangs down about 12" would be much better. Unit is well built and opening the two canisters was easy and replacing them into the base is easy also. Water tastes great and flow rate is pretty good. I bought a set of replacement filters and they seem kind of pricey to me. Plan onlooking around and see if there are 3rd party that will work. Took about 2 hours to install and i'm pretty handy. I'm 67 and can see where it might be tough for an older person to install and you might want to hire it out.

Title: So far, so good
Review: I wanted an under the sink filter for cooking water. This doesn't lower the TDS, which it's not advertised to do. I haven't sent off a water sample to otherwise check for water quality.I am a 5' woman, 115lbs- with a small frame, it was still so hard to manipulate myself under the sink to install this! There is a 0% chance my husband would have been able to get down there. Now, that is largely due to our sink/undersink set-up. Yours may be different. I wasn't going to disconnect the sink, ptrap, dispoasal, dishwasher, etc.- so I made it work. Tetris'd myself in and only smashed my thumb once (horray).Anyhow, other than working in tight, tiny, dark quarters, the system was easy to install. The directions were simple. I'm a "handy" woman who can follow directions and work with tools, but this should be simple enough for the less handy person, too. My granite already had a hole available from a soap dispenser, so I didn't have to drill the hole. But, so far, so good! Until I get my whole home system, I'll use this for cooking water, cleaning fruits/veggies, etc.!

Title: CLEAN AND CLEAR H2O!
Review: This is not a bad little setup for the money. There are a lot to choose from, and most from brands nobody ever heard of. To me, thatâs an issue because I wanted some certainty that:1) filtration actually meets the standards they represent2) replacement filters will be available in the futureA.O. Smith is a credible and reputable brand and so far the quality and filtration meets my expectations.Install is easy, provided your house is compliant with modern standards in the first place. As in, you have standard shutoffs at the faucet lines, and preferably also have a hole in the sink already. I removed a soap dispenser to install this faucet. If you have an unused sprayer, this can also replace that since most people are using a more modern pull down faucet / sprayer. If you do have goofy plumbing and youâre inexperienced, you might want to farm this job out. Hard to imagine it would cost more than 1 hour labor and materials barring some catastrophe.Anyway. The system goes together fine. The tubing is easy to cut to size and all parts I needed were included. Space was a little tight but the tubing didnât mind the bend radius I had to use. See photos, I ainât no pro but I can get it done! No leaks!Filtration seems good, I will take them at their word as a reputable brand. We have a lead pipe coming in and this was a must for baby formula and just general drinking water. Tastes good, like nothing. Thatâs all I wanted! For the price I think this is a fair deal and again, a good brand.

Title: Edit: Impossible to stop leaks [was Good Water -- but low, low GPM]
Review: Edit: This has now gone from 5 stars to 3 to one, and I'll be calling the warranty dept tomorrow. After first replacement, the filter canisters are leaking. I have tightened them as much as humanly possible, and I get a 5-10 drops/minute from the screw fitting joining the top and bottom of the filter canisters. I cleaned to O-rings, I used the flimsy plastic tool to tighten them, and still they leak.Old: I've been OK with this after having it for 6 months or so. I guess I'm coming up on my first filter replacement, even though as a household of two, we've barely put 150 gal through this in that time (0.5 gal in the morning for coffee and tea, a bit more for drinking water during the day). It's advertised for 500 gallons on one set of expensive filters.Installation was fine -- we had a pre-existing hole for the tap, which was too wide, but I was able to find a spacer at the local hw store.Initially flow was good, but slowed rapidly, even though we're in a city with notably clean water*. I didn't measure it out of the box, but I just did. It doesn't touch the advertised rate of 0.5gpm -- we're getting closer to 0.1gpm, if that.I'll report back after my first filter replacement.* You'll ask: then why bother with a filter? My partner doesn't like the "chlorine" taste of tap water, that's about it.

Title: Easy Install - better tasting water
Review: The instructions were very clear and easy. I didn't have any problems or leaks.I bought a filter because the county water that I recieve has a chlorine smell and poor taste. I can even taste the chlorine in the coffee we fix.So after installation and after properly flushing this filter, I could tell an immediate difference in the taste of the water. I bought this particular filter because of the multiple NSF ratings. I personally would not buy a water filter that is not tested against certain standards. Now - this is not a suspended solids filter. ( dissolved minerals )But I believe it is a very good system to greatly reduce chemicals and many harmful substances. So I am very satisfied with this system.
