Title: TASTE GREAT !
Review: I use this product for snacking with hot cheese and crackers ! It is delicious , great quality and I am just finishing up my first jar ! I plan on mashing up about 6 of these sausages , adding hot melted cheese , salsa , and jalapeños then eat with MEXICAN STYLE CHIPS and see how that fares ! Oh , and chase it all down with an ice cold beer , hot damn !

Title: GREASE! GREASE! and MORE GREASE
Review: As a kid, I loved these things. They were spicy and had lots of flavor and made your mouth pucker up from the TANG of the vinegar, but these.....these were just BAD. These are NOTHING like what I had as a kid. They looked like they were mush on the inside, like a pate instead of what a sausage should look like. They were flavorless, for the most part, and if it were not for the vinegar, they would have been COMPLETELY flavorless. However, those are the GOOD points of this product. No, what made this product HORRIBLE, was the way that the grease and fat just congeals in your mouth and coats the roof of your mouth with this thick slimy, greasy coating that just sticks to your mouth like peanut butter does, but this is NO peanut butter. Please believe me when I say that I normally do not have a gag reflex, but this stuff, with just one bite, almost made me puke. I cannot warn you enough about this product. It is horrible, and if your into masochism, then this may be right up your alley, otherwise, DO NOT buy this product. As to why there are 5 star reviews for this, I cannot say, as I would have given it a negative 5 star if possible. I read the other descriptions and it was like they were describing another product...one even went on to say that it was to sweet...SWEET??? These things are PICKLED with vinegar, NOT sugar cured! This is, of course, just my own opinion. I was so thoroughly disappointed, as yet, another childhood memory has been destroyed. :(Eat this at your own risk.

Title: Just OK
Review: Not bad, not great and not worth the price. There are way better pickled sausages selling on Amazon. These taste like the Penrose sausages that used to be in the supermarket in the little 6 oz. jars. And like them, a lot of fat. So much that it sticks to the roof of your mouth. Wouldn't buy again.

Title: Getting better...wish they were a little better and a little cheaper.
Review: After my first jar and second these pickled sausage get to grow on you. Lacking in the spices department a bit but is hot enough after a couple of the little guys and vinegar mix is pretty tasty. The texture of the meat/sausage was questionable but still pretty good stuff. After 48 hrs in the frig, the inner meat does firm up and it more palatable for sureI'm not a sausage maker for sure but the taste does grow on you but the price is up there. Some of the other makers aren't doing any better but the current $24 USD for 19 ounces: that's just seems over-priced a bit for this product and my tastes but the better items do reflect better quality.I see many stores not stocking Reser's Pickled Beef Polish Sausage as they once did but markers and taste do change. Reser's home is Beaverton, OR. I lived in Beaverton for years and shopped at the Reser's store (on SW Jenkins Rd) at least twice a week.Loved all their products and its still family owned as far as I can tell but its hard not to like this one product.

Title: My Favorite
Review: I grew up getting these pickled sausages at a local gas station in South Dakota. I've always loved them. I haven't been able to find them where I live now so I was so excited to see I could get them shipped to me. I've had a lot of different pickled sausages but these have always been my favorite. Price is a little expensive though.

Title: Flavor tries, but grease conquers all.
Review: Had high hopes that this would be the sausage of days gone by. The initial flavor of the vinegar tang with slight heat as the sausage "snaps" when you bite into it was a false hope. Once you begin chewing, the flavor is absorbed by ridiculous amounts of the thickest grease I have experience with processed meats. These leave a coating of grease on the roof of your mouth and teeth and toungue. It is not pleasant, it abosrbs all the tart vinegar and mild heat, leaving an unenjoyable mouthful.

Customers say

Customers appreciate the quality of the meat. However, they mention it's greasy and leaves their mouths coated with grease. Some say the sausages are pricey and not worth the money. Opinions are mixed on the taste.
