Digitally remastered and expanded edition featuring nine bonus tracks (one of them previously unreleased). All In A Night's Work was the ninth studio album by the funk and disco group KC And The Sunshine Band, which was produced by Harry Wayne Casey and Richard Finch. The album was released in 1982 on the Epic label. The album had a more commercial sound than their 1981 album The Painter, with highlights that include "(You Said) You'd Give Me Some More" and "Party With Your Body", two of the most joyous 80's dance confections imaginable. The former features an intro that is strikingly similar to the one featured on Patti LaBelle's "New Attitude" a couple of years later, and the latter's lyrics ("Jazzercise is the latest trend") are sure to prompt a smile. The album also includes "Give It Up', which charted in the UK but failed to make an impression stateside, at least until it was added to KC's next album, KC 10, a couple of years later. This expanded edition also includes covers of Stevie Wonder's "Uptight" and Sly Stone's "Thank You", but after revisiting the rhythm and groove of All In A Night's Work, we hope Casey never stops wanting to be our Boogie Man.

Title: Good Record Deserved Better Fate in post-Disco 1982
Review: As of January 2016, Amazon has the wrong track listing for this CD. What seems to be shown is the track listing for "The Painter.""All in a Night's Work" goes more like this:(You Said) You'd Gimme Some More (7:30)Party With Your Body (4:00)Give It Up (4:13)Don't Run (3:10)You're Going Out of Your Mind (3:21)On the One (3:54)It's Too Hard To Say Goodbye (3:08)Do It (3:37)When You Dance To the Music (3:31)Are You Feeling Like Me (3:11)Bonus Tracks:(You Said) You'd Gimme Some More (7" version) (4:17)(You Said) You'd Gimme Some More (instrumental) (5:27)Give It Up (7" version) (4:05)Give It Up (instrumental) (3:30)Give It Up (instrumental TV mix) (3:26)Give It Up (12" version) (5:18)Bad Girl (3:03)Up Tight (3:22)Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin) (4:50)"(You Said) You'd Gimme Some More" is a fine, synthesizer-driven dance hit (#9) from fall 1982. "Don't Run" (subtitled "Come Back To Me"), a duet with Teri DeSario featuring a midtempo groove and some saxophone, made #12 Adult Contemporary in early 1983. After becoming a surprise #1 hit in England, "Give It Up" was added to KC's later album "KC Ten". When released as a single here, the song reached #18 in early 1984 for a nice comeback hit for KC.Most of the remaining cuts are uptempo, as one might expect from KC and band, and pretty good. Listen for the early-Prince-like synths on "When You Dance to the Music"Liner notes by Michael P. Coleman feature fresh (2015) quotes from Harry Wayne Casey and Teri DeSario.

Title: KC & Sunshine Band from 1982 - finally on CD
Review: Terrific mastering with many bonus tracks, including the hit single version of "Give It Up".This is KC's second Epic album from 1982, and it flopped in the USA -although a little over a year later he re-released "Give It Up" on his own label, and it became a top 20 hit and dance classic.I don't think this has ever been on CD before now.

Title: All The Give It Up You Could Ever Ask For
Review: The whole record is great fun, except for one song that is horrendously misplaced (you'll know it when you come to it). But the draw here is of course the many versions of Give It Up; a song that is sure to instantly take you right back to the roller rink, circa 1984. And it sounds great 🙂

Review: If you're a fan of KC and the Sunshine BAnd, you should seek out this LP. It should be available on CD, but it has somehow fallen through the cracks. It contains "Give It Up", KC's last hit.Lots of great dance tunes on this LP.

Review: Its taken so long to get this album out and its his best. The No 1 hit Give it up is on with the 12 inch versions also. Its a really good pop album with a couple of sad songs and excellent Motown covers added on as extras. Its all remastered and sounds excellent and a great buy.

Review: great if you like similar remixes to the same song. I did buy this because I am a fan of Give It Up by the band and this expanded or special Edition cd has some remixes included. like I said they are a little similar, but I suppose they're original. All still good if you're a fan of the band or of late 70s early 80s disco inspired music.
