For the first time ever Bram Stoker’s gothic masterpiece is being united with the definitive screen Dracula, Bela Lugosi, in an all new graphic novel.
Bram Stoker. Bela Lugosi. Two names forever bound byDracula.
15 years after the novel’s publication,Dracula creator and author Bram Stoker passed away. He never got a chance to see how actor Bela Lugosi’s ground-breaking stage and screen portrayal of his character electrified and terrified audiences in the late 20s and early 30s. This performance became iconic and set the standard by which all actors taking on the caped mantle would be judged. With a story so rich in detail and atmosphere, the version of Dracula that Lugosi starred in departed significantly from Stoker’s original gothic tale.
Now, for the first time, Bram Stoker’s classic tale of horror and Bela Lugosi are properly introduced in an all-new graphic novel. With the cooperation of Lugosi LLC, Artist El Garing, Art Director Kerry Gammill, and adaptor Robert Napton take us on a journey into the heart of Stoker’s masterpiece and reminds modern audiences why Bela Lugosi isDracula

Title: The movie Bela should have stared in
Review: This graphic novel is just fantastic. The art is gorgeous on a visual level and in terms of following the plot created by Bram Strokers, it follows the text verbatim. The black and white coloring of the pages adds to the books erriness, and all round for any fan of Bela Lugosi or Dracula in text, this graphic novel is a must buy.

Title: Dracula: The Graphic Novel is AWESOME!!@
Review: Dracula: The Graphic Novel is absolute sheer genius! To take the original novel by Bram Stoker, turn it into a very faithful graphic novel and then go one better and make the legendary Bela Lugosi Dracula is an idea that only Legendary Comics could create! It is such a joy to see the original novel presented in graphic format with Lugosi as the vampire count! You honestly can hear Lugosi's more than recognizable voice throughout the entire story. Plus the graphics add such an element of atmosphere and even non-stop action, it is amazing! This incredible adaptation is an honest to goodness treat, both for fans of the original novel and fans of the classic Universal horror film! This is a definite much buy and must read for fans of both!

Title: Finally! Bela Lugosi in the greatest vampire story ever!!
Review: This is the greatest story by Bram Stoker of an ancient evil that starts with the imprisoning of a young real estate agent in Transylvania. It then heads to London wreaking havoc by Count Dracula who is battled by Abraham van Helsing, Jonathan Harker, Quincy Morris, and Arthur Holmwood. It is finished back in Transylvania as the battle comes to a close! The art is BEAUTIFUL, the story editing is nothing short of well-paced and brilliantly inventive. All this and Bela Lugosi in the lead role he was born to play. If you like graphic novels and especially one about Dracula you will have to go VERY far to find one as good as this. I have several Dracula adaptations and this will be my absolute favorite for along time to come!

Title: Fascinating retelling!
Review: For lovers of Dracula, Bela Lugosi, and classic vampire stories, this is a beautifully illustrated book that incorporates elements of both the 1931 movie and Bram Stoker's immortal novel. Every frame is rich in detail, and the dark, foreboding atmosphere that great black and white film noir conveys. As an author of a vampire series, the artwork is inspirational in creating eerie, hypnotic images to enhance the written word. Kudos to all those involved with this book! Highly recommend!

Title: Nice Tribute To Bela Lugosi
Review: A big plus the book arrived earlier than stated. Some may not like the black and white pictures but they are very well drawn. I liked it when they used the likeness of Bela Lugosi as Count Dracula. It is a great tribute to the man who made the Dracula figure into the character it is today. I love the book and recommend it to others who like this type of story.

Title: Not just your run of the mill vampire
Review: I saw this on Facebook and had to get it. Itâs worth the price just for the drawings. Amazing artwork. I have skimmed it a number of times but not sat down to actually read it from cover to cover but I will soon. It is based more on Bram Stokerâs novel more than the film. I read the novel and that is more frightening than any movie, so it was a great investment.

Review: A great addition for the library of anyone who loves classic horror stories and graphic novels. A lovely book beautifully illustrated and wonderfully written. The black and white images add to the atmosphere of the story, especially with the title character being in the image of Bela Lugosi. Originally Universal Pictures intended to film a more lavish version of Stokers novel, one mire closer to the original story. However the Wall Street crash of 1929 and the Great Depression that followed forced the studio to adapt a much less expensive stage version. What we see in this adaptation may well give us a insight as to how it may have looked had Universal forged ahead with their original plan.
