Title: extremely buggy and failed completely
Review: love the idea that someone is trying to make wireless android auto/carplay great again. Also to add the netflix and youtube feature is nice for certain times as well. That being said, this thing has glitched out and required reboot easily once every two days. some of those were because the thing would just crash leaving an awful noise blaring through the speakers. this last time it did that same thing, i unplugged it, waited a minute or two then plugged it back in and nothing happens. then i noticed that i have a red flashing light on the device. i am requesting my money back as this thing has absolutely failed

Title: I was hopeful, but probably won't use it often
Review: I do a lot of short trips during the day, in and out of the truck. I have a wired connection for CarPlay and I just wanted to get in, connect, and be on my way. This product does fulfill my dream, however there are three drawbacks that I don't think I will get over, the first of which is basically the dealbreaker for me. Most importantly, it took the CarPlay screen and kind of squished it, so circles are slight ovals, and squares are more rectangular. I'm not sure why it does this, and there is no way to adjust the screen resolution (that I can find), it just did it automatically and after a few days with it, I just couldn't look at it anymore. I have an aftermarket Sony unit, so that could be it, but unless I can solve that problem I can't look at the squished screen. Second, and less important, is that this adapter only seems to connect through Bluetooth, which can have some sound degradation when being sent to a high quality audio system. Other similar products will connect over a wifi network providing better quality audio, this is not necessarily a dealbreaker for me, but I had hoped I could connect over wifi. Third, it advertises that you can play Netflix, or Hulu etc. on your screen, but that will only work if you allow it to piggyback off of your phone's hotspot. I felt slightly misled by this. Personally I don't think I'd ever use that feature, but it didn't seem obvious that you needed to have a hotspot in order for it to work. My last complaint is that I think it really drained the battery pretty quickly. I guess that should be expected, but you should know. Now that my complaints are out of the way, The positives are that the unit is small, setup was very easy, and it does actually connect relatively quickly (20-30 seconds), so by the time I was backed out of my driveway and heading down the street it would start playing. All considered, I don't think I will continue using this unit, maybe on a day when I know I will have a lot of trips going on, but overall I can just plug in.
