Title: Best cookbook I've bought & I have a lot of vegan cookbooks 🙂
Review: I cook a lot & meal prep, as I am a flight attendant. My job, while rewarding, can be exhausting & meal prepping is sometimes the last thing I want to do.This cookbook has been a game changer for me! The recipes are truly so fast & easy. I have saved a lot of money & I can meal prep my meals in less than an hour. They are delicious! I purchased this less than a week ago & have made 5 recipes thus far & have lost 3.5 lbs. I stay full much longer & have more energy as I'm eating more clean again. My only regret is wishing I found this sooner.

Title: My new favorite!
Review: I love this cookbook! It is currently my favorite vegan cookbook and the only one I am using. There is so much I love about it. Not only are the recipes cheap, easy and delicious but the first part of the book is make ahead recipe bases that are AWESOME! So far I have made the muffin mix and the mac & cheese mix and both are spectacular. In fact, the muffin mix + the muffin recipe makes the best vegan muffins I have ever created since becoming a vegan (one year now). So far I have made coconut chocolate chip muffins and lemon blueberry muffins. And the mac and cheese is wonderful. She has single serving directions so you can make a cup of mac & cheese! And that is what I do! I made the butter cauliflower except I swapped seitan for cauliflower and added mushrooms. It is the closest recipe I have ever made that tastes like the butter chicken from my favorite Indian restaurant that I ate before becoming vegan. And that butter chicken is the best I have ever tasted (and I tried a lot of Butter Chickens before going vegan--both in restaurants and attempts at home).Though I haven't made them yet, there are also cake mixes you can make that she gives directions on how to use to make cupcakes, a cake or a mug cake! I'll be making those for mug cakes.I've made the ramen jars, the hummus ranch dressing, 25 Minute Taste of Italy, Creamy Tuscan Mushrooms (BEST SOUP EVER), and Mini Berry Crisps. All fantastic. I can't wait to make more recipes from this amazing cookbook!

Title: Indispensable
Review: If you think that being vegan means spending hours in the kitchen cooking sad, boring food that you spent half your paycheck on, please get this cookbook. Also please check out Sam Turnbull's other cookbook, Fuss Free Vegan, and her blog called It Doesn't Taste Like Chicken. She will change your mind and possibly your life. Her recipes are easy, healthy, and delicious. This book is specifically written with an eye toward getting affordable food on the table in a short amount of time while avoiding food waste, which is something so many cookbook authors completely ignore. She shows you how to make your own simple spice mixes and salad dressings which are way cheaper than store-bought, and many of the recipes come with several variations so you can customize them to your tastes and needs. She even includes a guide to creating her Guzinta bowls (whatever is in the fridge Guzinta it!) There are really no exotic ingredients at all, unless you count nutritional yeast, which you may not be familiar with if you're not vegan but is still cheap if you buy in bulk. This book is really a great resource, definitely a keeper. Way to go, Sam, you did it again!

Title: FABULOUS
Review: I’m a new vegan (due to having a low budget and cooking meat is hard for me). This book is beautiful, easy to read, and comes with more recipes than I could imagine! Each recipe comes with an indicator at the top showing approximate price, ingredients, and time required. There was a great variety of recipes and lots of great tips on making staples such as mixes, dressings, etc…I study nutrition at school and work for $15 an hour and truly have to be careful down to the penny when it comes to feeding myself and I think these meals cover your all your macros without and are low cost. Remember to pair some of these recipes together!!! Don’t just eat a salad with no soup or main course unless you plan on adding a protein (not all of the salads had protein added).

Title: Great Ideas
Review: There were plenty of great recipe ideas in this book. My only critiques were the absence of an Alfredo pasta (I thought the pasta on the cover was an Alfredo before I purchased the book) and that the preview/sample doesn’t show the table of contents.

Title: An Essential Vegan Cookbook
Review: This cookbook is so great! It has everything! I have made so many recipes for myself, friends & family...vegans and non-vegans and it is a winner! This is especially true if you have transitioned from non- vegan to vegan!

Title: My new favorite cookbook author!
Review: I'm so happy with this purchase! I will get soooo much use out of this cookbook! I love Sam's recipes and how simple yet delicious they are! So much so that I bought one of her other books and plan on getting her newest one soon too! Would absolutely recommend if you're a beginner vegan, experienced vegan, or anything in between who just wants to incorporate more plant based recipes into your diet without a ton of weird ingredients or laborious recipes !

Title: This was my favorite of the 4 vegan cookbooks I bought
Review: When we first decided to become vegan we bought 4 cookbooks and this is the one we use the most.It has easy to follow instructions, also includes recipes for seasonings and sauces, has at least 1 picture of each recipe, and they really are pretty quick to make. I wouldn’t call all of them cheap but they have all been affordable enough. So far I haven’t come across a recipe that calls for anything complicated. We have several recipes we’ve tried so far a most of them are in our continuous rotation. One of my favs is the cauliflower and wild rice soup!Ive edited to add 1 small annoyance, I’ve noticed some cookbook authors having several full page pictures of just themselves in their cookbooks, and it isn’t my favorite. This one has many. And one of her and her boyfriend/husband/partner in a loving embrace about to kiss. Yes that is very sweet but I'm not interested in a photo album of the author. I just want to see the food and recipes. Social media feels is a place where I can expect that, and am happy to. But not in my cookbooks.Ive started to follow the author on her Instagram as well and TikTok I think, and heard she has YouTube videos I might check out as well.

Review: I've been cooking vegan now for 8 years. It took me about 2 years to master the spices and methods but I continue to learn everyday. I've been following Sam Turnball for quite sometime. Her first cookbook served me well so I knew without a doubt, I would purchase the second one. It did not disappoint. After 8 years of basically doing two to three recipes from my 60+ vegan cookbook collection, this one will be put to greater use. As I turned each page, I couldn't believe the recipes, everything I wanted and more in one book. I wonder if Sam is aware of the many camping recipes found here. Most look fast and easy. Many make aheads and even portable. This book will serve beginners with vegan cooking, people looking for fast meals, people looking to up their cooking game... the suggestions and applications are endless. Wonderful book!

Review: If you're new to veganism, Sam Turnball is (in my opinion) an ideal person to follow. Initially, I subscribed to her mailing list for recipes, as soon as her book was printed; I couldn't wait to get a copy!No fancy expensive ingredients, just using everyday ingredients I have made some very tasty meals.I just wish that cilantro had coriander in brackets or zucchini had courgette in brackets..... I find it a little confusing when I have to google things lol

Review: I have about 30+ (no joke) vegan cookbooks. I've been vegan for nearly a decade and I feel like I know my way pretty well by now when it comes to vegan cooking. I'm a fan of this cookbook. It really IS quick and easy! Not every recipe was a smash hit for me: I didn't enjoy the garlicky noodles, or the miso noodles (the flavours in both needed work, I thought). HOWEVER, the mac n cheeze is a total game changer! I used to eat a ton of kraft dinner growing up, and while this does not taste like KD, dare I say it's possibly even better. I don't feel gross after eating it like I used to with KD, and the flavour profile is more complex and thus more satisfying. Finally a vegan mc n cheese that gets the texture and taste bang on! The powder now sits on my counter as a delicious go to. I also really loved the quesadillas. Her coconut milk blend surprisingly hits all the flavour notes and is creamy and great. Her greek bowl recipe is so simple, fresh, and great, and easy to modify for whoever is eating. I'm a fan of the easy & ingenious recipes in here and it's got me started on her blog too. I'd recommend this cookbook. It's on pretty high rotation for me.
