World Wrestling Entertainment has named Chris Jericho one of the top 10 wrestlers - and one of the top five talkers - of all time. Certainly, the past six years have been spectacular for Jericho. After a sluggish return from his 2005 sabbatical, Jericho found new inspiration in watching No Country for Old Men. and completely reinvented his character - ultimately going on to capture three world WWE titles.

The Best in the World chronicles some of the incredible and often preposterous highlights of Jericho's recent career, including how Mickey Rourke challenged Jericho to a match then backed out; his escape from the 2010 Icelandic volcanoes in a broken-down, European rental-car shuttle; his encounters with Bob Barker, Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Al Sharpton, and Mike Tyson; and his on-again, off-again relationship with WWE chief Vince McMahon.

Title: The FROOTist of them all!
Review: Wrestling Biographies are a sweet little adiction that I have fostered ever since Mick Foley's Have a Nice Day sprang up the charts all those years ago! The genre is unlike any other genre I have found. I love sports entertainment but I admit to loving tradition sports a little more. However -For the Most part Wrestling books are so much more fun than those other sports books. The honesty (brutal in many cases), road life (shocking in many cases), background stories of important matches grip the reader in a way other sports genre's usually are afraid too or simply are unable to due to a less sensational environment.I have enjoyed most of the wrestling books I have read including even the self serving ones from Dusty Rhodes or the Nature Boy Ric Flair! I was able to get through the somewhat annoying one from the Rock whose ghost writer for some reason decided to write the whole book like a in character promo from the Brahma Bull! Only Chris Jericho has been able to be in the rarefied air of that of Mick Foley. Undisputed was a nice book, but it wasn't as crisp as that of A lion's tale. I like his Fozzy stories but they just didn't fit as well with the wrestling stuff. Unlike Foley, Jericho's 3rd book is not just as good as the first two, I believe it is even better! It is mostly chronological, but it is nicely structured around a key topic in each chapter. Every once in a while there is a nice little chapter that kind of gives the reader a nice little break and we deal with lighter fare like a list of the entrance songs he has had (which is also a smart way or marrying his two worlds of WWE and music!)

Title: Chris Jericho Does It Again!
Review: Chronicling his WWE career from 2007 to 2013, Chris Jericho was the wrestling industry’s most despised villain in an era when they were in short supply. Whether he was feuding with Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio, Edge, or CM Punk to name a few, the WWE Universe kept their eyes glued to the TV screen and those in attendance got so aggressive that they nearly rioted. In addition to being a wrestling heel, Jericho was also the front man for the heavy metal act Fozzy and a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. No matter what he did in life, he was always the best in the world at it. Millions of Jerichoholics couldn’t all be wrong.Watching Chris Jericho’s multiple careers unfold before my very eyes was satisfying to me as a reader. The fact that a small town boy from Canada could reach such heights of fame and fortune is inspiring to anybody who wants to follow their dreams. He’s done it all and he’s maintained friendships with some of the best in the industry, whether it’s members of his own WWE locker room, James Hetfield from Metallica, or M. Shadows from Avenged Sevenfold. All Jericho needed was a fiery passion and a tireless work ethic and he achieved everything he wanted and more. Wrestling championships, music awards, rave reviews, the accolades just kept piling on for Y2J. As a fan of his work for many years, it was an honor to live vicariously through him while reading this book.Just like his previous two memoirs, A Lion’s Tale and Undisputed, with the help of his ghostwriter, Jericho employs a witty style when telling his life stories. If he wasn’t so busy with pro-wrestling and heavy metal, he could easily enjoy a career as a standup comedian. Hell, he already has access to Hollywood’s biggest names due to his wrestling feud with actor Mickey Rourke and his time on Dancing with the Stars, so maybe that’s something he could do when he eventually hangs up his boots. He relies on pop culture references that are accessible to pretty much any age group, so there’s no need to worry about dud jokes. I don’t want to spoil the jokes for my audience, so that’ll be even more incentive to buy this book and laugh your asses off.If I could give one piece of criticism to this book, it’s that Chris Jericho has a habit of blowing through entire performances with just “it was a great match” (wrestling for WWE) or “it was a fun set” (touring with Fozzy). There are plenty of times when he goes into gory details such as how he lost a tooth during a ladder match with Shawn Michaels or how he injured his back during his final performance on Dancing with the Stars. However, there are also plenty of other high stakes events that I would have liked more details on. I let him get away with it since this is a celebrity memoir, but as an author myself, if I don’t point this lack of detail out, it’ll be a missed opportunity on my part. Show, don’t tell!Don’t let that last paragraph shy you away from purchasing this book, though. Whether you’re a wrestling fan, a music fan, or just a guy who likes to watch people succeed while having a good laugh, I highly recommend this memoir from Chris Jericho. After all is said and done, you’ll only have one question: “What are the ropes made out of?!” I’m kidding, of course. Spoiler alert: they’re made out of ropes! Got that, Jon Lovitz, or do you need thirty more minutes of haranguing the WWE superstars? A passing grade will go to this fast-paced fun fest!

Title: Chris Jericho's done it again!
Review: I'll admit, back in 1999 - I was a HUGE WWF/WWE mark and saw Jericho as an invader. I just wanted him and Kurt Angle to just go the hell away! Oh, how times have changed... I have a huge appreciation for his body of work, and enjoy watching him wrestle today. It was because of that appreciation that I bought his first book, "A Lion's Tale." I was completely sucked in from Chapter 1 and couldn't stop until I'd devoured it. When I was finally able to, I bought his second book, "Undisputed." Like the first, I was hooked from the first chapter and soon devoured it, too. As soon as I had heard that Jericho had a third book coming it, it was instantly added to my wishlist... and like with "Undisputed," as soon as I was able to, I bought it and dove right in - finishing this kick-ass book in 2 days. (I kept getting interrupted...)This one pretty much picks up right where Undisputed left off, and is filled with more fantastic Jericho stories that'll have you laughing out loud at all of the crazy antics and situations that Chris seems to get himself into. What I absolutely love is how open, honest, and candid he is during his stories - no matter how poorly a story may reflect on him, he shows how he has grown and developed as a person (the Drunkicho story in this one involving Shawn Michaels proves that he can admit when he's wrong and take that experience to learn and grow from.)Get it, read it - you won't regret it.

Llegó a tiempo y en buenas condiciones. En el libro Chris Jericho narra sus experiencias dentro y fuera de la WWE desde su regreso en 2007 hasta su regreso en el Royal Rumble del 2014. Habla sobre su rivalidad con Shawn Michaels y CM Punk, además de su relación con Vince Mcmahon y al mismo tiempo cuenta como ha ido creciendo su banda Fozzy.

Habe beide direkt nacheinander gelesen und war hier sehr begeistert.Der Wrestling-Fan kommt voll auf seine Kosten (mehr als im vorherigen Werk), alles ist zutiefst amüsant geschrieben und mit einem sehr sympathischen Maß an Selbstironie.FAZIT:Einfach herrliche Unterhaltung mit sehr viel Kurzweil und Spaß.

Personally, I loved the first one but you cant go wrong with any of his books. Being a multi faceted talent, his infectious charm shines through from cover to cover. Dont hesitate, go ahead and buy this Froot book!

Review: Back on form. This book is every bit as good as A Lion's Tale. Miles better than better the Undisputed. Actually everything that was wrong with Undisputed could be summed up in the first chapter of this book. His jokes and catchphrases had been done before his Y2J character had gotten a bit stale. The same way he reinvented his character for his return to the WWE he wrote this book with the same creativity and fresh humour.This book starts off like the other books with Chris in the gorilla position. As the count down starts it jumps back a few years to his last return. Then from 2007 to 2013, Chris take us all on his incredible journey. Performing at the at the highest levels, working with the top stars of both the WWE and the rock music industry. Meeting his heroes and legonds and upping his game to perform with as a peer and an equal.This book is written by from the Chris Jericho not Chris Irvin. Chris is in character all the way through this book. I loved reading about the creative process behind his biggest angles and feuds. The reason i said it seem the book is written by Jericho is because there is very little of Irvin's personal life. Even in the after hours parties he still seems to be in character. Even the English language has been changed to Jeriglish.This is a great, witty, funny and insightful (behind the scenes of the WWE). I like the nod to DDP, being an unrepentant FOP myself. I am glad DDP gets a bit of the dues he deserves. This is one of those books the reminds me why I was a fan of wrestling so many years, and reignites the spark to be a fan again.
