Title: Shiny&Sleek
Review: I read the reviews and saw pics. But I still took a chance to review it for myself!I've been needing a new kettle and I don't like electric ones. This fit the bill and is sleek and nice. It seems durable for now. My old one got kinda rusty,I hope this stainless steel holds up but I'm not too hopeful as most tarnish and turn a copper color. I washed it and made sure the whistle makes noise. It's not too loud or too low. It's just right! It works perfectAnd the handle doesn't get hot and burn your hands. I'm glad I took a chance. No regrets on this purchase! I didn't expect much since it was inexpensive but it's perfect for me!

Title: Attractive well designed stovetop tea kettle
Review: After switching to loose leaf teas and an induction cooktop I purchased this stainless steel tea kettle. It’s an attractive kettle offered at a very good price. It’s 1.75 quart size Is prefect for one or two tea drinkers. Although some people have complained about this kettle rusting after just a handful of uses, my experience has been quite different. I’m not particularly attentive emptying it after each use and drying it, I have not seen any rust buildup in the two months since I became a daily user. Very impressive. It’s well designed in that one doesn’t have to expose fingers to the whistling pour spout. The handle remains cool. In terms of performance, our induction cooktop brings the full kettle to a boil in 3 minutes.

Title: so pretty
Review: it's so pretty and it heats up the water but the whistler is not loud at all...if I am not standing nearby, I will not hear it from another room - I am so disappointed- I was so anxious to hear it whistle that I let my water boil for 10 minutes the first time.addendum - had to go back and re-rate this pretty tea kettle - after about 4 days of no whistling, I could tell a difference when the water was heating up - sounded like popcorn popping and after 5 minutes, the tea kettle WHISTLED!!!!!! I was so happy. I had read, that maybe I needed to blow out the whistler area and so I did that on day 3...I am one happy customer!

Review: I am very happy with this tea pot. The whistle is loud enough that I hear it if I’m in another room. It cleans up well and is light weighted so after it is filled it’s not too heavy to carry over to the stove.

Title: Really a good value
Review: A real bargain. I sent it back because the handle got so hot. After trying a couple other kettles, I regretted returning this one. Far more expensive kettles still don’t keep cool handles, or heat up significantly faster. Would buy again if I needed another.

Title: Mr. Coffee, what hath thou wrought?
Review: This kettle looks great, even with the cheap plastic handles/fittings. It, to be fair, boils water. But that, to me, is where the product's value ends.If you are expecting a nice, sturdy, kettle, think again. If you are expecting one that doesn't rust, think again. The metal on this thing is so, so, so thin. Yes, that makes it lightweight. But is that a good thing with a kettle that you are planning to use on a regular basis?It gets three stars because it remains functional. It heats water. It whistles. Done. But the long-term viability of this product is not good. Why would I say that? Let me explain. I used it. I then cleaned it. I then went back to inspect it a couple of days later. On the (again, thin) underside there were rust marks (admittedly, small) starting to form. Granted, they almost look like they are the start of that deep patina that one remembers from kettles of yore. But, no. That was rust.Newell Brands owns a hodge-podge of legacy 'names' that it then manufacturers overseas. Yes, it is an American company. Cool. And I have no issue with products being built elsewhere. What I do have an issue with is products that are poorly/cheaply built. Though, again, I give this three stars because, for the price, it is exactly what you would expect: functional, nice-looking, and not designed to last/be used regularly.My advice? Want better? Spend more. Simple. I will use this until the bottom rusts out and then spend more money on a better product. As such, I will get out of this kettle exactly what I spent. And that is on me.
