NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • A small-town sweetheart and an emotionally unavailable bad boy try to find some common ground in this chemistry-filled romance from the author of The Cheat Sheet and When in Rome.
A POPSUGAR AND CHICAGO PUBLIC LIBRARY BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR
Annie Walker is on a quest to find her perfect match—someone who complements her happy, quiet life running the local flower shop in Rome, Kentucky. But finding her dream man may be harder than Annie imagined. Everyone knows everyone in her hometown, and the dating prospects are getting fewer by the day. After she overhears her latest date say she is “so unbelievably boring,” Annie starts to think the problem might be her. Is it too late to become flirtatious and fun like the leading ladies in her favorite romance movies? Maybe she only needs a little practice . . . and Annie has the perfect person in mind to be her tutor: Will Griffin.
Will—the sexy , tattooed, and absolutely gorgeous bodyguard—is temporarily back in Rome, providing security for Amelia Rose as excitement builds for her upcoming marriage to Noah Walker, Annie’s brother. He has one personal objective while on the job: stay away from Annie Walker and any other possible attachments to this sleepy town. But no sooner than he gets settled, Will finds himself tasked with helping Annie find the love of her life by becoming the next leading lady of Rome, Kentucky. Will wants no part in changing the sweet and lovely Annie. He knows for a fact that some stuffy, straitlaced guy won’t make her happy, but he doesn’t have the heart to say no.
Amid steamy practice dates and strictly “educational” tutoring lessons, Annie discovers there are more layers to Will’s usual stoic attitude. As the lines of their friendship become dangerously blurred, Annie reconsiders her dream guy. Maybe her love life doesn’t need to be perfect—it just needs to be real.

Title: Itâs a perfect read, no practice needed ð
Review: [5 Starsð¤©] Practice Makes Perfect stared at me from my bookshelf for MONTHS before I picked it up, and now I canât believe I waited so long to read it because it was so cute, charming, and EXACTLY what I needed! Sarah Adams wrote an amazing book that balanced charming and swoony, and it had me smiling, giggling, and kicking my feet the entire read.I loved Annieâs sweet personality and how she dismantled Willâs anti-relationship point of view without even trying. Their romantic development was perfectly paced, and the âdating coachâ angle was so much fun to read, especially when Will fell hard and fast for her. Annieâs personal growth was an important plot line, but I also loved how she only became more confident in herself instead of trying to be someone elseâand how Will already saw her as lovely and charming. Practice Makes Perfect is also a perfect example of how to write romantic tension between characters but keep the romance closed-door because the âseduction practiceâ and the kiss in the flower shop had me melting into a puddle from the steam! If youâve been on the fence about reading Practice Makes Perfect, this is your sign to pick it up because it is the perfect follow up to When in Rome that will melt your heart, make you laugh, and wish you lived in the small town or Rome, Kentucky. ð____________________________________Details:ðContemporary romanceðRomantic comedyðBodyguard romanceð¡Small town romanceðDual, first-person POVð¹No third act breakupðð»Would re-readð2024 FavoriteCharacters and Tropes:ð°Cinnamon roll MMCð¥¸Fake dating(ish)ðForced proximityð°Reformed playboyð¤SecretsSpice:ð§¨Slow burnðExplicit content hinted/fade to black (mild)____________________________________Emoji Ranking System:ð¤©Excellent to Fantastic (4.75-5.00)ðVery Good to Great (4.25-4.50)ðGood to Really Good (3.50-4.00)ðJust OK to Decent (2.75-3.25)ðIt's A No (1.00-2.50)ð«DNF

Title: I loved this Book SO SO SO MUCH
Review: Let me start by saying that this book was what I needed right now. I've read somewhat heavy books during this month and I was looking for something sweet and cozy for me to read. Practice Makes Perfect delivered that. After an awful date, and determined to find a husband, Annie finds herself in a "fake dating/he teaches me the ways" relationship with the ever so beautiful, kind, charming and sexy Will. Will, is Annie's sister-in-law EPA (Executive Protection Agent = bodyguard) and because of his upbringing doesn't want anything to do with all the things Annie wants. What could go wrong if both of them are clear in the fact that they don't want the same things? The story is simple, not an over complicated plot. This book was a warm hug, a book that made me feel giddy and excited. I laughed and cried. Both Will and Annie are just great for each-other.I just think that where this book shines for me was with Annie and Will as individuals. They both found out throughout the book that maybe the things they believed they wanted were not 100% true, they grew individually and learned new things about themselves while yes, simultaneously falling in love. I loved their chemistry, and Willâ¦omg he was just the cutest flirt ever. They communicate, and they are comfortable with each other which allows them put all their cards on the table. Also, NO MISCOMMUNICATION TROPE IN THIS BOOK, which is a win for me, 100% of the times.Loved their banter and how Annie purposely said Willâs name incorrectly, it never failed to make me laugh. The supporting characters like Mabel and Hariette also had me laughing. and AMELIA? OMG !! she is AMAZING.The only thing I didn't particularly like was Annie's sisters. Noah? perfect! But Emilia and Maddie, they seemed a little bit of mean girls and I just didn't appreciate how they treated Annie. I feel like they never tried to get to know her, and put her in a box where she felt shame to be who she wanted to be. They do get better, but I just didn't enjoy the moments where they teased Annie.I really really enjoyed this book and all the warm and fuzzy feelings it gave me. I had a lot of fun! Is a super cute, super fast read that its just cute and a great time!! A simple, beautifully executed story!

Title: Practicing with Willâ¦ð¥°
Review: I havenât had a book thatâs drawn me in and kept me invested the whole time for a while, and I loved this book for it. Thereâs so much to love about it. I read the first book, so I was familiar with the town and these two characters and was hoping they got their own HEA. This rom com had plenty of wit and great banter between Annie and Will, with a grumpy/sunshine trope. There are probably more but that one stood out the most. Both Annie and Will have childhood traumas that can still haunt them in their adult life. It has shaped them into the people they are now and hinders them in some way. What I loved most about this book is how they deal with those issues, work together on being the others friend and support person, and the way they organically started to fall for each other. I appreciated there wasnât made up angst and that this couple went about things in an adult way. They were communicating and being honest from the start on what each others expectations were. Each of them had personal growth throughout the process and it was a treasure to read them discovering new aspects of themselves.I loved both of them, each were memorable. Annie was sweet and kind and would do anything for not only her siblings but anyone that needed help in her small town, they are a tight knit community. But Willâ¦oh Willâ¦he just made it into my top ten BBFâs. Heâs adorable and so swoon worthy the way he treats Annie and looks after her and works out his own feelings. I feel as I go about my business Iâm going to be thinking of this couple all day, and thatâs when you know itâs a great book.

Review: I completely adored Practice Makes Perfect!!! This book is an amazing opposites attract romance with dating lessons that turn into fake dating, which of course turn into falling in love!I love Annie and Will, they are perfect together! Annie is an introvert, book lover, awkward, and has such a sweet heart. I actually love when she babbles and the fact that throughout this book she finds herself. Will is a bodyguard and has never believed in love but he feels an instant connection with Annie. He serious about his job but heâs also very fun and is a big softie at heart. Heâs totally protective and has a habit of denying he gets jealous. Plus he has flowers tattoos so I think with Annie having a flower shop they are obviously meant to be. ð¥°This book takes place in Rome, Kentucky again so we get to see all the lovable and hilarious characters in the town again! This is so much fun to read and made me laugh a lot but there are some serious and sad moments that makes your heart hurt for the characters.Like her other books this is a fade to black romance but the chemistry between Will and Annie is incredible and they have many swoon worthy moments! I also have to mention the baseball game scene because I was laughing so hard!Iâm hoping we get more books in this world!
