Title: Just one flaw
Review: I've had a couple of electric corkscrews. This one is by far the best at extracting even the most stubborn cork. It has very good battery life as well. Its one flaw is that the foil cutter does not work well at all. That is the one small problem with this unit which I gladly overlook.

Title: Updated March 2024 - Don't waste your money!
Review: I originally gave this a good review but after my recent experience with Rabbit Customer Support, and my discovery of the fault, I would not recommend this product. Purchased it in July 2021 and carefully followed the guidance to charge fully, use until discharged, then charge again, etc. Consequently, the battery is in perfect condition but 3 weeks' ago the unit stopped working when I placed it on top of a bottle. Pressing the small override button on the top made the unit run in reverse perfectly OK, so I knew the battery and motor were fine.I checked Rabbit's website and there is no useful information on troubleshooting this fault, so I wrote to Rabbit Customer Support and asked for help, stating that I knew my product was out of warranty. The first reply showed they didn't understand my email which had clearly described the fault and explained how I charged and used the unit, but I got a simple reply saying I had not charged it correctly and it needed replacing.I replied explaining the problem again, to receive a standard reply saying your unit is out of warranty and we recommend replacing it.I was not impressed as my gut told me the problem was simple, so I took the unit apart (remove two screws on the end of the base) and found the cause immediately. There are two micro-switches on the end of the unit which activate when you place the opener on the top of the bottle. There are two white wires that connect these switches to the motor, and they were both detached from the switch contacts because the solder joints had broken. The wires were too short so it appears every time the unit operated it was stressing the wires. I found some spare wire and soldered in short splices on each wire, wrapped the joints with electrical tape, and soldered the ends to the micro switch contacts.It took a couple of attempts to ensure the wires did not snag when the unit ran, but I fixed it and now it is working perfectly again. A better fix would be to replace the two white wires with longer ones to avoid the extra solder joints, but I did not have enough spare cable so this will work for the time being.This is such a weak point of the design and I'm sure Rabbit knows it, but of course they were not going to tell me that. I will continue to use it until it dies completely but I won't be buying another Rabbit product in future. Hope this helps someone else having the same problem!

Title: No cork has stopped it yet!
Review: This opener is the asolute bet yet. My last one that gave up after a couple of years,. I took a chance on the description of this oone and it works as well or beatter than touted. Some wine corks seem to be glued in and the openers refuse to get them out but not this one, works every time.
