Title: Immense Improvement
Review: There is no miracle product that works for all dogs. In fact, this product was not a miracle.I have put literally thousands of hours into training and counter-conditioning my fearful and anxious dog -- we got him as a puppy from the local shelter, just after his socialization window closed. I don't think this product or any of the other Adaptil diffusers would have done anything if not for the amount of work I put in. When we hit the figurative brick wall, however, I turned to pheromones to assist. I did not even bother introducing these products until we had a solid obedience foundation and relationship.Afterward, though? They helped IMMENSELY. I think these pheromones calmed my dog enough to take our training to the next level. I started with the diffuser for a couple months, per my trainer's recommendation, letting my pup get used to the pheromone. I then used the collar. I saw notable changes in my dog's confidence. New people? My pup's still cautious, but he's curious and brave enough to go up and sniff them. New situations? Again, still cautious, but he's a lot more able to focus on me as I slowly build these positive associations.So, this is no miracle product. It seems for some dogs it can be, but I do think it depends on what ails your dog, what training you've done, your dog's socialization levels, and what kind of emotional state your dog's in. I don't think slapping this collar on your dog is best use of these types of products -- if you wish for sincere improvement and the BEST CHANCE at success, pair this with training. I am very pleased with Adaptil products and will continue to use them. They are well-worth the money. My dog's quality of life has improved significantly after adding these tools to our repertoire.

Title: This collar made my dog's anxiety worse - she stopped sleeping at night.
Review: I'm sure this collar undoubtedly works for some dogs but it definitely did not work for mine. I recently adopted a 6-year-old dog from a shelter and she has separation anxiety - she follows me from room to room, sits outside the bathroom door while I shower, etc. I mentioned this to the vet and she recommended this collar, which I had already read about so I decided to give it a try. I put it on her and did not notice any change but looked it up and it said it took 7 days to see any effects so I left it on her. Her anxious behavior did not improve, in fact, she stopped sleeping at night. She used to sleep in the crate beside my bed just fine all night; she would go right in the crate and sleep through the whole night. Now all of a sudden she would cry and whine after I put her in the crate. I tried ignoring her but she never gave up and went to sleep, she just kept crying and whining; eventually this led me to sleeping on the floor right outside her crate in order to get her to go to sleep. I looked it up and it said this collar would not have any side effects and could only make a dog's anxiety better so I just figured something else was going on and I left the collar on to see if after the 7 days I would see any improvement in my dog's anxiety - I didn't. On the eighth day, I did not notice any improvement in my dog's anxiety and I could not take the crying and whining at night anymore so I decided to take the collar off and see what happens. Immediately after I took the collar off, she curled right up in her crate and went to sleep. So while I'm sure this collar does work for some dogs, it definitely made my dog's anxiety worse. Moral of the story, this collar definitely can have side effects, like making your dog's anxiety worse, so don't bother waiting the 7 days to see effects of the collar if you think it might be making things worse.

Title: Did not notice a difference
Review: I personally did not notice much of a difference in my chi. Maybe his lunacy runs too deep.No change in barking, or general reaction to things that trigger him. Quality is great, it’s still on 3 weeks later. Appearance is subtle, smell is not apparent, size is extremely adjustable.

Title: A completely different dog!
Review: So, long story short. Our Australian Cattle Dog has had severe seperation anxiety the entire 7 years we've had her which is fairly common in the breed. She had been returned to the local shelter twice for the anxiety before we adopted her. We worked with her on behavioral modifications and got her to a place that wasn't 100% but close enough where we weren't anxious about what sort of mess we would come home to, yet we still weren't going to buy new furniture on the chance she would destroy it. On a side note, she couldn't be kenneled because she has destroyed any metal, plastic, and fabric kennels we've tried. About 7 months ago, another one of our dogs died and our Australian Cattle Dog's anxiety sky rocketed due to grief. The suddeness and intensity blind sided us. It was worse than it had been when we first got her. None of the behavioral modifications were working, we tried vet prescribed Xanax to try and get her calmed down enough to get some of the behavioral modications to stick and that didn't work. The vet suggested DAP and I swore we had used it before but I now think it was simply aromatherapy. So based on the reviews, I bought both the DAP collar and the DAP diffuser. It was about 4-5 days before we noticed a difference, but we have been using it for the past 3 weeks and the difference is amazing. She is a completely different dog and there is zero signs of the anxiety. We are even considering buying new furniture!

Review: Wow. I’m absolutely stunned by how this works. We rescued our 2 year old lab mix last year, and he had so many fears. He was anxious about men, stairs, doorways, crates, etc. My husband and I have been training him consistently with success in some areas, but not others. His crate was a source of terror, even with treats inside.Yesterday I put on this collar, hoping for the best, but expecting nothing. Today, he voluntarily went to sleep in his crate with no treats in it!! I’ve never seen anything like this. We have been working on this for a year with no success and this collar made it happen with no effort in ONE day. I’m completely stunned. If your dog is having problems, just try this collar. For the cost, it could save you a lot of time and effort. I’m officially convinced, and I can’t wait to see how this helps with his other fears.
