Review: I love this thing sooooo much! So easy to use. Perfectly steamed my fresh green beans. The product guide has specific instructions and the times are perfectly correct. You can steam multiple things at once. And last but not least, it doesn’t take up a stove burner!!!!!! Oh and easy to clean! ❤️ this thing has made my life soooo much easier.

Title: Great steamer
Review: First and foremost, let me say that I am not an expert in the kitchen. My stove and oven are used more for decoration than usefulness. I am more likely to use tabletop appliances. I have been using a crock pot, electric frying pan, and toaster oven for years. I ran across an article about how steaming vegetables can be a healthier alternative, so I began researching different types and I saw this one on Amazon. I thought I would give it a try. It was a great purchase. I have used it to steam different kinds of vegetables and I have even tried my hand at chicken and seafood. It is a wonderful product. I am very pleased with it. It came with a book of instructions and was specific to some different types of foods. This was very helpful. I am still learning about the amount time it takes for different foods as it varies. There was no assembly required and it is very easy to use. I recommend this product to anyone who is looking for an easier way to eat healthy.

Title: Timer dial not good, plastic not glass
Review: The dial on the timer is small black numbers on chrome - unreadable unless you get your eye even with the timer and get the right light on it. I painted the dial white with appliance paint and used a sharpie to mark off the 5-minute marks, so problem solved. It is advertised as coming with glass baskets, but they are in fact plastic. This means putting them in a dishwasher will eventually crack them, which is what happened with our old steamer. So they need to be washed by hand. Actually, I prefer plastic because there is less danger of them shattering if you drop one. There are some bad reviews complaining that water gets all over and things won't fit. There is a bottom basket and a top basket. If you put the top basket on first, the bottom basket will not fit on top of it. If you just use the top basket and the lid, then water will get all over the place, because the top basket is designed to drain into the smaller bottom basket. If you don't use the water capture basket, the other baskets won't fit. If you follow directions, everything fits and there is no water problem. Also, you CAN dial the time backwards, it just takes more pressure on the knob than to go forward, unlike my old steamer. The water addition tray works fine, and the water level indicator works fine and is very convenient. You just have to be careful when adding more water, because you might overflow the water capture basket. We have hard water here, so a couple of teaspoons of white vinegar in the water prevents calcium build up. I give it four stars because after fixing the dial problem, cleaning by hand, and following directions, it works fine.

Title: Exceeded my expectations! So much fun!
Review: Well for years I had a single stage stove top steamer... Which I used daily! I looked for the same brand to make a double decker out of it inexpensively. Then I bought a giant 3 stage steamer which I have not used yet but maybe this summer for a clam bake. So I got two new single stage steamers to have the option of having a double steamer. So, I have that setup with the pan on the stove and the steamers above in the cupboard ready to go into action! Well l I decided to get 2 of these electric steamers and this model exceeded my expectations having used one of them daily since it arrived about a week ago. It's good looking! It is very light! Easy to clean! The two steamer sections stack up in one configuration for double steaming, yet amazingly nestle inside one another for compact storage. Amazingly it gets hot in about a minute or less, yes! I like appliances that turn themselves off with a timer. The timer is not precise for time critical stuff for example 6 minutes, and while on the counter I have to bend down eye level to see the markings and the lines and numbers are very light so I can't discern the setting easily. I have this problem on other twist knob timers on my appliances. It would be nice if they had a digital timer slanted on a 45 degree angle so you could set 6 minutes and 13 seconds if you wanted to. I bought several digital outlet timers capable of doing a countdown in one-minute increments and plug into that. Anyway, this thing is so much fun to make broccoli, green beans, asparagus, eggs too! Review: So, it's July 2022 and I've had this since early December 2021. This is one of the most used items I've bought in ages!! I use it every day, be it to cook some eggs or steam some vegetables for part of dinner or a quick snack. It doesn't take up a whole lot of counter space, and works very simply & efficiently.This is likely one of my favourite & useful purchases from Amazon--(which is saying a lot!!).If you've ever struggled to peel hard-boiled eggs, your difficult mission ends here. - I still haven't worked out the secret, but you can make up to 16 eggs at a time and all you have to do is chill them in the fridge (hot might work, too-- haven't tried it) and then crack the bottom and peel.-- I do it under a stream of water and each egg takes about 10-15 seconds. -Magic!!This is great for all types of vegetables-- haven't tried it on fruit, as that's not really up my alley, but I'm sure it would be a success also.I know this review is long, but if you're looking for something like this, I wanted to give my full take on it. 🙂 I'm sure there are many uses I haven't even explored, but this is most definitely worth your money!~Chantal 🙂

Review: Our old, digital big-brand steamer died so we bought this as a panic-buy. We are so happy with it!! The tiers are as expected, not smaller or bigger than we need. Our only gripe is that it's quite hard to see the ticks on the timer to set the time. They should have used contrasting colors. But the product works great. The trays are fine in the top dishwasher rack.
