Title: Game changer.
Review: I only just got this yesterday and used it last night for the first time but I feel compelled to write a quick review already. This thing is a game. changer. Ever since moving to Texas, I suffer from terrible seasonal allergies. I never have in my life until now (turns out I'm allergic to a handful of trees that are native around here. Fun.) Some years are worse than others but this year is baaad. For the past few weeks my mornings have had me waking up congested and unable to breathe, blowing wads of snot out of my nose (sorry!), and with a itchy/scratchy sore throat. First thing I do is take an allergy pill and wait in misery until it finally seems to kick in around mid morning. (I've had a terrible time finding meds that work too. It just sucks.) I don't know why I never thought to get an air purifier. I guess when I thought of air purifiers I'd always think of the fancy Dyson ones that cost hundreds of dollars. I mean, puh-lease. Not happening. Then I found this little guy. Had great reviews, was the perfect little size for our master bedroom (216sqft), and reasonably priced with reasonably priced replacement filters. In a plee of desperation I talked my husband into us trying it. It got in yesterday (quicker than expected, yay!). I immediately unboxed it upon getting home from work and plugged it in. It says you only need to run it for about 15-20 minutes on high to cycle the room but I set that little baby on high with a two hour timer and let it run. When it was time for bed, I set the 6 hour timer on sleep mode. The sleep mode is great. It's a lot more quiet than I expected. I still expected to be able to hear a little white noise from it (which doesn't bother me at all) but unless I lift my head off the pillow and really listen, I can only just baaarely hear it. And I have it on my side of the bed about 3 feet away. Our home air system is louder than it on sleep mode. If you enjoy white noise, you could probably just run it on low and be fine. It has a button to turn off the indicator lights at night too so you don't have bright lights keeping you awake if that's a problem for you. Anyway, I woke up this morning with NO allergy symptoms. None. No congestion, absolutely clear nasal passages, and NO sore throat at all! I'm blown away. I'll try to come back and revise this review if my opinion changes but after the first night and the relief I was FINALLY able to feel from my allergies this morning I absolutely rate this thing 5 stars. Worth every penny!

Review: I love it, it’s perfect for my night stand. It’s quiet and works well, a lot of debris on the filters when I changed them. Also some info that took me a bit to find out about the red light from their website: the red notification light is based on a timer and does not necessarily mean your filter needs to be changed. It is simply a reminder light to check the filters and clear any dust buildup. To reset the light for the LV-H128, please make sure the unit is turned off (it will not reset if the fan is still on). Once the unit is turned off, press and hold the Control Button for 3-5 seconds to reset the light.”

Title: Cost effective for small spaces/limited use
Review: An air purifier is not a complicated device. It is a fan, and an air filter. The fan pulls air through the air filter, and catches various particles and impurities in the air. As long as you have a decent HEPA filter, and a fan that has enough velocity to circulate the room air through the filter effectively, it will work to clean the air. You can build one yourself with a box fan and some high quality furnace filters and duct tape if you have to.So what distinguishes this one from the hundreds of others out there, why is it so popular?(1) Low up front costs - this has enough power to handle a small room effectively and a true HEPA filter at a pretty low initial cost.(2) Easy to live with - the fan is very quiet except on high, and even on high it isn't obnoxiously loud. Changing the filter takes about 10 seconds and is easy to do. There is a pre-filter to catch large dust/animal hair and the like which you can vacuum to extend the life of the HEPA filter for small particles. The unit itself is not huge or ugly, so it can sit in the corner of most rooms without being objectionable.(3) Available filters - this unit's extreme popularity means that there will likely be filters available for many years.(4) It does work - I bought an air quality meter after the recent wildfire smoke episode, and it shows me that this thing does a pretty good job in small rooms. In bigger rooms it will still provide some benefit, but it is really not able to move enough air quickly enough to clean a large room.Downsides:The filters are relatively small, so they will have to be changed fairly frequently if you run the unit constantly. How frequently? I don't know, your mileage will vary depending on how many pets you have, how much wildfire smoke is in your area, etc. But I would expect to buy at least two a year if comparing this to other units that may have larger filters you need to change less often. So think about the total running costs and not just the up front cost when comparison shopping here. If you are thinking about saving money by trying to run this in a bigger room than it is designed for, don't go down that road. You do need to size your unit to the area you are trying to keep clean. A large room needs a larger unit with a bigger fan and a bigger filter. Also, all of these things are quieter if not running on high. So it is better to get a bigger unit even one that handles more than you are asking it to, and then run it slower and change the filters less often versus trying to save money up front and then driving the thing as hard as it will go to barely get any benefit.

Ya en 6 meses mas compraré los repuestos.El Purificador es de tamaño ideal, ligero, con materiales de calidad, resistentes, de textutra y color agradables.Diseño sencillo de usar, simplemente lo volteas, sacas los filtros para quitarles la envoltura plástica, los vuelves a colocar, cierras, conectas, enciendes con un ligero toque y listo.MUY SILENCIOSO, no sé porque otros compradores se han quejado, yo lo puse en la velocidad alta y casi no se escucha, mucho menos en velocidad baja o en sleep; realmente funciona sin ruido.Inicialmente lo puse por 3 ó 4 intervalos de 25 minutos para no cansar tanto el motor de un solo golpey si, poco a poco fui sintiendo el cambio en el aire. Al principio producía un olor típico de plástico nuevo, pero horas después ya se fue disipando.Ya por la noche lo dejé en la velovidad baja por tiempos de 1 o 2 horas y si duerme uno mas cómodo, el aire se siente ligero, limpio, despierta uno con una sensación de descanso y una respiración mas completa y relajada.Lo único que lamento es no haberlo comprado desde hace 30 ó 40 años, porque cada día la ciudad donde vivo está mas y mas contaminada y ahora me doy cuenta de lo importante que es tener un Purificador de Aire.

Review: Sleep mode is so quiet. So if you don't want it loud, this is the one for you. We like white noise, so we turn up to highest fan mode and it is perfect. Makes a huge difference. Husband doesn't snort all night and morning anymore. Best purchase ever!

Review: Love this purchase. I had been having asthma attacks at night , due to dust and pets in the bedroom . The air purifier has litterally stopped the attacks from the first night. Easy set up , remove plastic from filter and plug in ! I set it on high for 20 min and that is not loud either and then put on sleep mode. I sleep with it about 10 inches from my ears and never hear it . The soft light is not a problem either if you like a very dark room . It is very efficient in removing dust from the air . Highly recommend .
