Review: I got this book before going to Thailand. It is very helpful, it has pictures and very useful information. For example, it says if the places have restroom, whatâs on the table, specialties, etc. Overall, very helpful and fun to read.

Title: This is a beautiful, interesting
Review: The descriptions keep using the word "recipes" which led me to believe this was a book of recipes. Nope. This is a beautiful, interesting, exhaustively-detailed guidebook for finding street food around Bangkok. Only a small handful of actual recipes. Having been to Bangkok, having eaten and loved the streetfood, having found more streetfood than I could possibly ever eat without a guidebook -- I just want to be able to recreate dishes at home, and this didn't help. If you're like me, this isn't your book. If you're headed to BKK for the first time and want to know where to go and what exciting options await you, get this book.

Review: On my trip to Thailand recently I never used this book. Although a handsome guide I found many of the recommendations contained items I wasn't interested in (products containing blood, etc). This book just wasn't for me.

Review: I spent many months cycling in South East Asia, Thailand in particular. Believe it or not but away from the tourist hubs there are plenty of places where people won't understand a single word of English. The consequence is that you will regularly be offered/served fried rice with chicken, which the Thai consider to be THE farang-staple-food. This book will allow you to make most of the possibly best cuisine in Asia wherever you are as it is not only a cookbook but a travel-guide, a dictionary and a photo gallery at the same time. Well, to me it is and I used it a lot!
