Title: Best Bird Feeder for protection against squirrels
Review: This is the second one of these that I have bought - the first one finally bit the dust after 6 years in Florida sun/rain. This design is great at stopping squirrels from getting to the seed. Works really well. Top pops up for easy filling. Inner seed chamber is clear plastic-no rust, easy to clean, but gets brittle (as all plastic does) in the sun after a few years. Still a good squirrel proof feeder for the money.

Title: baffles the squirrels.
Review: This is my second one.Well made. metal outer and plastic seed holder inside. only issue is the plastic needs some kind of UV blocking coating. Plastic oxidizes in the sun.The central plastic seed holder, in the first one, kind of disintegrated in the sun. Wish I could replace just that part. We have this hanging near our dining room window, with a couple other feeders. The squirrels have been diving at our feeders like crazy, but when they get on this one and the outer part slides down to block access to the seeds, the squirrel turns to look in the window like he's saying 'really?'. I take pics of the squirrels, and think they're cute, but they can empty a feeder in minutes. That gets to be expensive.-update- I've watched squirrels, like the one in the picture, leap onto the feeder, then get frustrated and look in the window like they're saying 'really, man?" This one was chewing on the metal leaf covering the access hole!An issue that could be remedied. The little crossbar that holds onto the plastic container is barely held into small holes. I've had it start to come apart as I'm refilling it. I usually have to take it down and put it on the ground, holding it up while messing with the lid. possibly replacing it with a tube with flat head screws holding it from the outside! I fill it with sunflower seeds. I tried safflower ad the birds rejected it. The mixed 'wild bird seed' is also a waste of money because there's too much filler, like millett, and they eat everything but that.- while typing this, I saw a squirrel attack an open, hanging basket feeder I just put up 10 minutes ago. It's about 3 feet from this squirrel proof feeder that he's given up on!

Title: Good Looking, Springs broke within a few months
Review: Lets start off with the positive. It is nice looking and we were able to adjust the springs so the little birds could land and eat off it but the big birds would land and it would close. We have a separate bird feeder for the large birds, they are messy and will empty the feeder in half a day leaving nothing for the smaller birds, so this helped us provide a solution for that. It did foil the squirrels but didn't stop them from swinging on it and trying constantly lol.The bad, which is kinda a deal breaker for us. It broke it less than 3 months. The squirrels were putting their weight on the bottom plate to avoid the pressure plate closing off the food. We have this on a metal stake that wasn't near a fence or tree... they climbed the skinny metal pole anyway lol. Anyway I don't know if this is what contributed to the breakage but the springs that are the center of this whole contraption working broke and somehow popped so we can't find them (squirrels kept them as trophies? Maybe building their own super bird feeder invasion contraption? Not sure).The feeder was getting a lot of use, we would have to fill it once a day, maybe a day and a half... plus the squirrels trying their hand on it. So maybe it would last longer or not break if it had less traffic, but I bought this because I thought it could handle it (and befuddle the squirrels lol). Because I don't have those springs anymore I am not sure what size springs to get to repair this.Filling this was a little difficult because of the top opening, it was easier to fill with two people. There is a spring that connects the lid to the contraption (that is the spring that sprung it's way somewhere we can't find, and don't even know how that could happen) so you have to hold it open while you fill it. I always spill doing this, which the squirrels appreciate lol. The lid is also held in position by a metal bar that slides into two holes in the plastic. The plastic gets worn out pretty quickly. Keep in mind we used this for only 3 months. So that bar/peg thing likes to slide out.The plastic part at the top of the feeder gets pretty worn/nicked /chipped so I don't know how that would fare long term.I live in Maryland, so it doesn't get a lot of sun but does get a lot of rain and humidity, lot's of birds and squirrels. I lived in Arizona most of my life and think this might be better there due to less squirrel invasions. The metal is coated so we didn't see any rust. I *think* this would fare ok in strong suns like Az since it seems to be well coated.In conclusion I wouldn't buy this one again due to the fact it broke in 3 months, will be slightly difficult to fix since we need to figure out the proper spring size. It was difficult to fill which was annoying, small opening so I spill a lot, and with needing to fill it daily it was annoying. Thus the middle of the road rating. Maybe I just need an industrial strength feeder lol, but anything that breaks in 3 months is a waste of money for us.I hope this review helped someone decide if this is for them. Title: NO SQUIRRELS!
Review: I replaced my 4 year old Perky Pet Feeder with this new one, so obviously I like the feeder. Love that the squirrels can't get the food! The only reason for 4 stars is the one spring had sprung within the first week. It was fixable and has been fine since, but maybe the manufacturer can find a better way for the hook on the spring to stay intact better.

Review: This is a very good feeder to deter the squirrels. I had gray squirrels and a pesty little (but very cute) red squirrel. My son suggested this and am very happy that I listened to him. I have not had a squirrel in my feeder since I bought it. I do put seed on the ground for them but when that is gone they go elsewhere until next time. Now the birds can feed in peace. It really works. Even large grackles cannot get in.

Review: The name of this bird feeder is 100% accurate – Squirrel-Be-Gone. We had a terrible time with squirrels getting our last feeder (by the same company) as they figured out how to chew the little plastic part over the openings which then allowed all the bird seed to come pouring out and onto the ground. Since putting this feeder up, I haven't even seen a single squirrel! It's like they know they won't be able to do the same with this one and have just given up! Some reviews said that the perches were too short but I haven't noticed the birds having any issues. Sometimes they don't even use the perches but just hop on the other wires on the sides. It looks pretty too. My only complaint is that rain can get into the openings. Every time it rains, the bird seed gets soaked and it isn't easy to dry out as the water gets down at the bottom between the metal bottom piece and plastic base. It would be nice if the bottom part detached for easy cleaning and drying. But even with that being an issue, still the best bird feeder we have used to keep squirrels away.

Review: Das Futterhäuschen ist ein echter Hingucker.Leider war eine, der acht Sitzstange abgebrochen.Da wir aber das Häuschen erst zwei Wochen nach Lieferung in Empfang nehmen konnten (Urlaub...keine Lieferprobleme), haben wir auf eine Reklamation verzichtet.Aber trotzdem haben wir unsere Freude daran, denn es ist ausreichend Platz an den vorhandenen Sitzgelegenheiten. Außerdem sind unsere kleinen Gartenbewohner sehr erfindungsreich und klettern auch ohne die Sitzstange am Gehäuse entlang und finden ihren Weg zum Futter.
