Title: Great trickle charger
Review: This works really well as a trickle charger. That said, if you are trying to charge a fully depleted battery it will take a long time (4 days for me). Other than the slow charge rate (which I knew going in) it is a fantastic product. Very compact, easy to use, plenty of cord length and the build quality seems great. No complaints.

Title: Works well as a battery maintainer
Review: Being retired, I don't drive my car that much. Because it has so much electronics on it, I started getting a message saying battery was low and I needed to start the engine or it would shut off the system in 3 minutes. After taking the car to the dealer, I was told I needed to either drive it for 30 minutes or get a battery maintainer to top off the charge once in a while. This does the job. Pretty simple to set up -- you can let it charge overnight and it doesn't overcharge the battery. I got the low battery message again after a few weeks, so it looks like I need to use the battery maintainer every few weeks.

Title: Excellent Battery Charger & Maintainer
Review: I have a truck that mostly sits in the garage. Every time I need to back it out of the garage, the battery is dead.I know that just sitting isn't good for batteries, not to mention this battery is several years old.Now keep in mind, this is a large amp battery for a SUV, which was so dead, a turn of the key and I didn't even get lights on the dash. I stuck this little charger on it and it took a day and a half, but it charged completely. Ok, now I'm beginning to get a tad impressed.I have two of those old type chargers, you know the ones that after a while you can hear the acid boiling inside the battery, and the battery is getting really hot... you know the chargers that tell you not to leave it on your battery for any extended period of time as this might (will) damage the battery (possibly even start a fire). Well... no more.I'm a total convert now to using smart chargers, and this one seems especially good. I really hope I don't find some little something that breaks 6 months from now, cause I really like this charger! It seems very well designed and made and most of all, it works great.The only negative I can find, it has a single button to select one of several charging modes, and LED's to indicate which option you have chosen, and those LED's are pretty much self explanatory, as well as an advanced mode where you have to push and hold the single button to enter advanced charging mode. For example, if your battery is so bad, the charger cannot detect there is even a battery hooked up, you can tell it to go ahead and start charging anyway which is a really nice feature. As another reviewer mentioned, when you need to use some of the more advanced functions, if you've lost the booklet, well... good luck. The multi-language booklet briefly explains all of the options, what the LED's mean, and that's pretty much it, verbose it isn't..It comes in a really nice packaging, like you're really getting something ( and you are), the unit itself seems well made and thought out, you would think a bit more of an effort would have been put into the manual.But, perhaps the product speaks for itself... and it does. And, after all most users will hook it up to their 12 volt car/boat/motorcyle battery, plug it in, select the regular 12v battery option, and that's all most will ever need. Once the battery is charged completely, the charger senses that, and switches automatically to just maintaining the battery. If you loose power while charging (or maintaining), this charger just picks up right where it left off, so there is no worries about pushing buttons or selecting modes, it knows what you were doing before, and starts right back up with doing it again.Am I glad I got it: YesWould I buy it again: Yes.

Title: Worked great but had to download the user manual
Review: The 12 volt Group 36R battery of our 1996 Ford Taurus GL discharged due to the car not being driven and rather than lug the (very heavy) battery to and from the auto parts store, who I was paranoid might accidentally overcharge / fry the battery, I got this instead. I read the reviews here that said no manual was included and I'm very glad I downloaded one because although I have quite a high mechanical / technical aptitude, it was NOT obvious / intuitive how to use this. But IF a user manual had been included, I would have given this item 5 stars. Anyway, I read the two page manual, hooked everything up accordingly and 22 hours later, the battery was back in the car and the car started right up. The battery may have been OK to try after only 15 to 18 hours but I couldn't get away from work so 22 hours it had to be. Now I just need to not neglect our Taurus and drive it once or twice a week. For me, this was easily worth the price.

Title: No more jump starts, money/battery saver
Review: I don't drive much anymore since retiring and my car just sits in the garage. Its battery started going bad at 3.5 years old. I had to jump start it 3 times recently. I was about to sink $200+ on a new batery, when I read about battery chargers. I got Noco Genius 1 for <$30 and immediately put it to work.The instruction manual is available from the product support link on Amazon. Got the pdf to keep handy. Easy to follow and had the unit up to task in no time. It automatically detected the voltage, light turned orange to indicate charging mode, and eventually turned green at reaching full charge. It's that simple. It took less than a day to charge, probably much less since I did not carefully time it.The product claims to reverse sulfation as a result of battery too long on low voltage. I'm no expert to check this, but it seems logical that further sulfation is prevented because full charge is maintained by the product. So, battery life is extended in any case. I keep it plugged in to maintain charge and have since avoided jump starts which are bad for batteries.It's a slow charger, so it doesn't get hot while charging. It's barely warm on maintain (green) mode.I wish had known about battery charging long ago. I replaced a dying battery during covid lockdown. A product like Noco Genius would have saved me money on a new battery, jump starts, and gas (I dont have to drive on the highway to revive a dead battery!).Noco Genius 1 is a money and battery saver for me. Review: I don't drive very long distances, so for literally years my car's automatic stop start just never functioned because my car battery was never juiced enough. I let the charger work its magic over a weekend and suddenly my stop start function works again. Now I use it once a month to top up my battery.Also had another car left in storage for a while during covid and the battery completely drained. This charger managed to recharge it just fine. Just charges fairly slow, so give it a couple of days.I highly recommend every vehicle owner keep one of these in their garage.

Review: Tengo una BMW GS 800, si bateria es de 12V, debido a que tengo el GPS conectado directo a la batería , si la dejo de usar 1 mes se me baja. Esto ya me había pasado una vez y pedí a un amigo la Norco, me gustó mucho y pues ahora que me paso de nuevo decidí volver a usarla. No encontré el mismo modelo, y lo único que no tiene es que detecta el voltaje y tipo de pila al momento de conectarlo. De ahí en fuera, quede maravillado. La conecte directo a la batería en la moto y en 9 horas aprox cargo al 100. La moto prende normal. Muy fácil de conectar y usar, chico fácil de transportar. En un futuro compraré el adaptador para ya solo conectarlo ahí sin necesidad de usarlo directo a la batería. 100% recomendado.
