Just a sample of the low-sodium delights inside:
Whole Wheat Sour Cream Pancakes
Although these pancakes seem like a special-occasion recipe, you can definitely enjoy them on rushed mornings, too. Try making these slightly tangy pancakes ahead of time and eating them cold with a little almond butter for a quick snack.
Rice Noodles with Fried Tofu and Cabbage
This dish resembles pad thai, but has a different taste profile. Its slightly tart sauce is made rich with the addition of sesame oil. You could even stir in a couple of tablespoons of peanut butter if you prefer a more traditional preparation.
Salmon Shrimp Burgers
Canned or leftover salmon retains its moisture and is robust enough to stay together when formed into patties. Try a generous dollop of tzatziki or homemade tartar sauce as a creamy topping for these flavor-packed burgers.

Title: Came in very handy
Review: Recently, my FIL had a heart-attack and needed to improve his diet. This book helped immensely. It helped get him on track to eating healthier and better. He would always load up his food with not only pepper but salt before even tasting it. He would use so much. Now, that he has to be more careful, I thought it would be a huge ask for him to cut out salt. He said these recipes helped him so much. Because he didn't even feel like he missed any of it.While, I prefer a lot of cookbooks with pictures and I kind of skip out if they don't have them. I'm glad my FIL took this to heart. I didn't mind sharing recipes and the helpful tips and tricks that he had not been applying to his own life. This book does great at explaining what happens when you consume too much sodium and the effects it has on your body. It describes why you should try healthier alternatives and to track what you're intake is. I'm glad this was in there but I wish it was more of a recipe book with helpful tips and tricks sprinkled in. I fear I do better that way than just putting two separate sections. It's just too easy for me to skip the first and go straight to the recipes. More pictures, please.
