The Infant Optics DXR-8 PRO video baby monitor is our most advanced monitor yet. As a parent, you want digital security without internet connectivity for an added layer of protection against hackers that may be able to access your camera over the internet. Operating on 2nd-generation FHSS frequency in a closed-loop system that does NOT utilizes your home WiFi, only YOU can see and hear your baby. The DXR-8 PRO features cutting edge features such as Active Noise Reduction (ANR), a high definition display, and interchangeable lenses. ANR is an option that can be toggled on or off to filter any background noise such as fans, air conditioners, humidifiers, and air purifiers, that are commonly heard on baby monitors as 'static noise'. When it comes to video clarity, the monitor features a 5" ultra-clear LCD display at 720P resolution with enhanced night vision. The three-step digital zoom can be operated with the optical zoom lens (included) so that you can zoom in to see your baby sleeping in 6x zoom without causing the pixelation and blurring seen on other monitors. All functions are controlled on our next-generation user interface. Dedicated volume and brightness controls on the top of the monitor unit. Brightness of the LED lights (power and LED sound bar) can be dimmed so it won't shine your room bright at night. Standard features such as two-way talk back, sleep mode, night vision included. Monitor wakes instantly from sleep mode with a press of any button. Pair with portable battery pack (sold separately) for up to 24 hours battery life. Comes with manufacturer's 1 year warranty, extendable to 2 years for free upon registration. Note: predecessor model DXR-8 camera units are NOT compatible with the DXR-8 PRO.
RELIABLE MONITORING: Our patented, Active Noise Reduction technology, filters out background noises in the nursery like fans, air purifiers, heaters, and air conditioners so you can hear your baby more clearly and enjoy a restful night’s sleep.
ULTRA-CLEAR VIDEO QUALITY: Our high definition screen offers sharp video quality and enhanced night vision with 720P resolution for ultimate coverage. The closed circuit camera system is hack proof so the video feed is only viewable by you.
VIVID LARGE 5" SCREEN: An improved LCD screen offers better brightness, sharpened viewing angles, and a vivid color display, giving you exceptional clarity day and night, even in low-light settings.
HACK-PROOF CONNECTION: To assure that your kid's room camera is secure, our baby monitor with camera and audio operates on a 2nd-generation FHSS closed circuit camera system. Each camera unit only pairs to ONE monitor unit only as a safety mechanism.
FULL VIEWING CONTROL: Have complete control of your viewing angle with our baby monitor's pan, tilt, & zoom functionality. Interchangeable lens technology allows you to swap between a zoom lens (up to 6X zoom) and a wide-angle lens (sold separately).

Title: Quick and easy to monitor baby
Review: Ordered this as my wife and I wanted something other than a monitor on the wifi. It was very easy to set up and use. The quality of the picture and sound are good. The microphone is so sensitive and picks stuff up down the hall from the camera. The video can remove background noise which does help with this and allows us to focus on the noise the baby is making. The quality of the video is great and able to see the baby easily and notice what they are doing. Recommend if you are looking for a good quality video that is on its own network.

Title: Good device, even better service
Review: We love this monitor, but the customer service from Infant Optics is even better! Our monitor stopped holding a charge after 14 months. We switched the battery with no luck, so it was clearly the device. The warranty typically only lasts 12 months, but I reached out to Infant Optics. They sent us a new monitor (2 day shipping), even though the warranty was expired by 2 months. They let us hold on to the old one (it still worked if plugged in) while we waited for the new monitor so we didnât go without. The system itself has great sound quality and picture is clear. We do think the temperature is off by 5 degrees as we will have AC set at 72 but it will say 77. Range is great as we can even take it out on our deck or into the garage without issue.

Title: Good night vision. Very happy. Love buttons.
Review: I've only had the DXR-8 PRO for a couple days (since Nov 9, 2020), but so far it's great. I suppose it might be possible to get a better picture elsewhere (a wifi based system) but this one is the best I've seen (compared to my old monitor and those of family and friends, none of which are the DXR-8 PRO).I specifically wanted a monitor with better night vision than the old one I had and I'm quite pleased with the night vision on this!We were looking for a non-wifi system as we didn't want to have our baby monitor hooked up to the internet for three reasons: first, the internet isn't the most reliable (mediacom) and I'd hate to lose signal on the monitor simply because the wifi was down; second, security concerns, and third, we hope to move to the country and internet is at a premium there, so the less using it the better.I also really wanted the ability to pan and tilt the camera so that I'd be able to see the whole room, and the ability to talk back (great for when you're trying to work in the kitchen downstairs and your toddler needs reminded to lay down and be quiet). It's cold out so I haven't tested the range outside yet, but I haven't had any issues inside and I haven't popped up the antenna on the monitor once.I love the fact that there're dedicated buttons for the volume (some monitors I considered didn't have this) and the talk back feature (best friend's has talk back but you have to push another button before you can use it). While not something I had to have it's also nice to have the dedicated screen brightness buttons, as I'm used to that from my old monitor. The Active Noise Reduction is nice, I tend to turn it off while my kids are going to sleep as It makes their musical seahorses sound warbled (not the kids) it is designed for blocking out a steady noise (a fan, HVAC, etc.) the music from the seahorses is constant (when they're on) not steady (hope that makes sense). Turning the ANR on/off is easy thanks to the fact that one of the main buttons controls it (buttons are much nicer than menus IMO).I like having the volume light bar (also something I'm accustomed to from my old monitor). I'm also glad that the volume gets loud enough for me to hear it over other things going on (best friend's is too quiet at full volume).I can't speak to the battery life, as I have the monitor plugged in most of the time. It's nice to have two cords for the monitor (it came with two; one plugs into a wall outlet the other a USB) so I don't have to bring to cord with me upstairs/downstairs if I want to plug it in (which I usually do) though it would be nice if the USB cord were a little longer (it's just over three feet in length); The other cord is plenty long. The sleep timer is easily adjusted (1, 3, 5min or off) and pressing any button turns the screen back on (nice in a dark room) and then you press the sleep button to turn the screen back off (or wait on the timer). The whole thing is very easy to set up. I'd say the most difficult thing about setting up the unit was feeding the cord behind a set of shelves so it would be out of the way, though my husband would probably say the mounting of it was (took him maybe 3 minutes to drill a hole put in the anchor and screw and hang the camera) the camera and monitor come already paired (though the instructions on how to do it are included, and it's very simple) so it's really a plug it in, turn it on and you're done system.I like the fact that Infant Optics sells replacement batteries and cords so if someday I feel I need a new battery or cord I can easily get one.I also had the pleasant surprise of being able to extend my warranty for an additional year (there was a card informing me of this in the pouch with the user manual) if I made sure to register my DXR-8 PRO within 7 days. Though hopefully I won't ever need the warranty. All in all I'm very happy with the DXR-8 PRO.

Title: Great customer service
Review: We received our first DXR-8 PRO as a baby shower gift before our son was born. It had worked really well for us for a yearâthe set-up is easy, the active noise reduction is a great feature, and the picture quality on the monitor is excellent (Iâve compared it to friendsâ other brands of monitors and there really is no comparison). However, one day our monitor just stopped holding a chargeâit would be fully charged and yet within less than a minute of being unplugged would show it had a low battery and then the screen would shut off. We tried buying a new battery, but that didnât fix it. So I reached out to the Infant Optics Customer Support team and they were able to replace our monitor for us (huge shout out to Pauline for making it all so easy on us!). The new monitor is working great, so time will tell if this issue is a recurring one, but at the very least I was very happy with the customer support I received, such that we decided to purchase a second Infant Optics camera for our daughter who is due very soon. My sister in law has had an Infant Optics camera/monitor for over 6 years, and it still works great for her, so Iâm hopeful that this was just a one-time fluke and our new monitor will stand the test of time. Iâd still recommend the product based on the picture quality and ease of use, plus the fact that the company seems to stand behind their product.

Title: Quality Build with Great Support
Review: We've owned and used this product regularly since 2021 and I recommended it to one of my nieces just this afternoon. My satisfaction with the product for this long, and the referral to my niece led me to leave this review. Our children are grown and grandchildren are coming back home now for day care and sleepovers. Having a monitor makes things way easier for us when we're watching multiple kids. Our daughter already used Infant Monitor so it was an easy choice for us to purchase the same product for our home. Yes, it was slightly more expensive but in my opinion it eclipsed the quality of any other model we looked at. Easy to setup. Solid build quality. Remotely controlled camera head. Sharp image even in low light. Great signal strength and range within our home and into the yard. This unit performs every time, in light and dark conditions.I did have one minor operational issue with the monitor. Customer service was professional and quick to respond to my support request. All it took was one email to customer support. I was called back within 60 minutes and received a replacement unit on my doorstep within two days. No fuss, no drama. These are some of the many reasons I would strongly recommend purchasing a monitor from Infant Optics.

Review: This is the third baby monitor I tried (so I have ones to compare it to), and this one is perfect! Literally no âconsâ. Picture is clear and strong, sound is great. Battery lasts long. The range is far enough to reach our whole house and even across the street.

Review: We went with this camera after suffering through disconnects and unreliable monitoring with the Arlo baby -- just had to eliminate the possible factor of the internet connection (although we have a fast internet connection, but the Arlo just wouldn't stay connected) and any possible security issues with wifi-connected devices. This camera is pretty basic, easy to operate, and the Active Noise Reduction feature performs well. The only cons are: video resolution/clarity not as good compared to the Arlo (especially if you zoom in), not sure if the temperature gauge is completely accurate, and we have to make sure the monitor battery is fully charged before going to bed or it may not last 7-8 hours overnight. None are showstoppers, and we are in general happy with the camera.
