Title: Works great; remote and timer are very handy
Review: I am quite pleased with this fan. Easy to assemble. Easy to adjust. Easy to move around. Easy to operate. I really appreciate the remote control and the timer - fan is great for cooling a bedroom at night but being able to turn it off before getting out of bed in the morning. It's not real quiet, but the "white noise" is good for sleeping and it's not so loud that it is disruptive, so not an issue for me. Price was reasonable.

Title: Good value
Review: So you're getting a good fan that's easy to assemble, has plenty of power, is fairly quiet and comes with a remote...all for around 40 bucks. What's not to like?I have several Lasko fans - floor fans, box fans, pedestal fans. They've proven to be reliable and long lasting if you clean them once in a while and don't knock them around too much.Fairly cheap and made here - I guess you could say I'm a ... (couldn't help it).

Title: Well engineered to a price point
Review: See revision at bottom.I am using this to move dehumidified air from the basement to the main floor. I have a commercial fan that sits on the floor, but it is very noisy and gets in the way. This Lasko is basically a cheap box fan on a pole--it sounds exactly like a box fan, and blows like a box fan. I have heard box fans that were quieter on Low, although there are no rattles or squeeks. The Lasco on low is not especially powerful, even though low seems noisy. High will blow you away. You'll probably use it on low and medium and live with the noise.Construction: Extremely thin plastic, except for the pole. I mean really thin, everywhere. Every dime has been engineered out. That seems more common today. The base is a single layer of very thin plastic, although it is of a good diameter, so it might fall over if bumped. It is hard to move, since there are no fasteners between the motor, the pole, and the stand. The pieces have to be held together when you pick it up. The good news is that putting it together requires no tools and could not be simpler. However, it will be a pain to disassemble and clean the shrouds and blades. Black would be a better color. The motor appears to be a cheap box fan motor, perhaps the same as the 16" fan, although it performs OK. It looks like a desk fan with extra large blades, popped on a pole. My guess is it will work hard a couple of years before the motor dies. The remote works better for me than it has for some others in the reviews. I can point it down the steps and have good control.Performance: 5 starsNoise: 2 starsApparent quality of construction: 1 star. Afraid it will crack, split or break.Value: I would prefer either paying $10 less, or $25 - $40 more and getting more durability (I paid nearly $50). I could not identify another model that meets that need. It seems crazy to pay $100 more, though, for the same performance and questionable quality. Seems likely to fall if bumped, and likely to break, if you have kids or a medium sized dog. However, the thing about high quality plastic is that it is not cheap and can perform better than metal. However, to consumers' eyes it will look just like the cheap plastic. Don't know what kind we have here.Controls: Head pivots OK, seems for some reason to stay in position without a manual lock. Controls are fine. Remote is good. Pole height is more than adequate. Range of adjustment is very good. Can you say "disposable fan"? I guess $25 a year is an acceptable cost for what you get. I'll either get another, if I get two years out of it, or I'll spend more next time.-------- ----------2 month updateThe fan is just starting to get noisy bearings at this point. My experience is that Chinese sleeve bearings do not last very long, compared to vintage American sleeve bearings, or to ball bearings. Although I probably have 500 hours on this fan at this point, this seems to be unacceptably poor. Unfortunately, I have not experienced any Asian motor with sleeve bearings to be durable. Also unfortunately, fans with better bearings (needle, ball, etc.) are nearly non-existant, except in some commercial duty motors. Ad copy for such products will make a point of this kind of construction if it is used. There are 2 main options, since the 30 day warranty is past, and the motor has not actually failed yet-- 1. Run it into the ground by doing nothing (estimated life at failure point is about 1 year old) or 2. Disassemble the motor every few months and apply synthetic oil, which will quiet the fan for 1 - 3 months or so, and extend its life. Since this does not change the quality rating of this fan relative to the other reasonably priced fans available, the star rating does not change, but I now estimate its life at about 1 -2 years max., depending on usage. ***If anyone has experience with a higher quality recently made fan, I would appreciate their feedback.***Note- The present models from some manufacturers with a quality reputation are not as robust as the models sold more than 5 years ago. I have lately seen some "commercial" motors with cheap bearing design. In addition, the noise from the fan blades is becoming bothersome, considering the modest air flow.

Title: Works great and very quiet
Review: I bought this fan for my Mother, and she loves it. It is very quiet, even when on high. Everything works great on it so far, it was easy to put togther, and the price was about right for what you get. People have told Mom and me it is a futuristic and stylish looking fan, which I guess is a plus. Don't know if Mom will ever use the timer function, but it is a nice energy saving feature for those who would use it. I also like placement of where the operation buttons are located on the fan, on the front under the blades where it is much easier to adjust than on the back or on the fan motor itself. One note about the remote (or two). It does not come with AAA batteries, and the batteries I put in it are not new, so I can't tell if my having trouble getting the fan to respond to the remote is because the remote signal is very narrow or the weak batteries I installed. One more thing. My mother is 76 and has very arthritic hands, which caused her pain when trying to press the remote buttons. I had no problem myself (other than a very narrow remote signal path or weak AAA batteries) pressing the buttons, but the fan did not consistently respond to the remote. Just something to think about if you are in the same situation. Mom just uses the front buttons on the fan, which are pretty large and labeled cleary and are very easy to press. The remote is not a deal breaker even if it turns out fresh batteries don't help (I am going to test that out and update my review afterwards). I'm thinking I might get one of these to use at the church where I play my drums, it would be just what the doctor ordered since I sometimes forget to turn off my fan, so the timer on this one would be perfect to keep the Pastor's wife off me.

Title: Quiet, works well, moves a decent amount of air.
Review: Quiet, works well, moves a decent amount of air. We needed several fans to combat the "heatwave of 2024." Lasko is a known, trusted brand. I like the fact that this one has a remote and several speed settings. Is quiet, stays put, I hardly notice it running at times. We are pleased with this purchase.

Title: Might not last long but inexpensive
Review: This is a flimsy, cheap plastic fan that may or may not last too long due to crappy material. It was somewhat challenging to assemble bc the instructions were minimal. Good thing there were drawings. It has worked for one night so far. I have an older, similar fan from a different company that has excellent materials and construction that I got at ACE hardware years ago, which they assembled for me, that is still awesome. I'm very surprised at Lasko as I have two electric tower heaters by them that are sturdy and well done. I'll update if this fan conks out.

Title: good fan, I like the remote control feature, wish it was taller.
Review: so far it really helps the summer heat and it is also quiet. A bit flimsy and the adjustment for the height wants to slip down at times if you touch the top too heavily but overall a better value than the unknown brand named one I tried and had to return due to manufacturer design and quality issues.

Review: Just finishing putting mine together and now up and running with exact results anticipated, it works perfectly for air circulation and cooling in the large main open concept living area of my condo.Noted on recent trip to carribean these fans were a staple in the main areas of condos we were renting, so knew exactly what to expect and how it performed.

Review: Assembly was very easy. Unfortunately, the fan was dead. I tried it in a number of different outlets, but it would not turn on.I contacted their Customer Service line, and they asked for product number and serial number, then told me they will send a replacement unit right away, but it would likely take 7 to 10 business days.Update: The replacement fan has still not arrived. I contacted Customer Service, and they gave me a tracking number which revealed the fan was sent to the wrong address (wrong country). They sent out another replacement fan and again said it would take 7-10 business days. The second replacement has not arrived. I sent an email to them telling them I wish for a refund. They replied saying: "This is a reminder that we have not forgot about you. We have received (#######) and we are working quickly to respond to all of our customers in a timely manner. We thank you for your continued patience. It's been a week since the reply, and still nothing. I feel like this is going to go nowhere, and I basically threw away the money I paid for this fan.
Customers say
Customers like the electric fan for its ease of assembly, value for money, and air flow. They mention it works well, is easy to put together, and is good for the price. Some appreciate the remote control. However, some customers have mixed opinions on the noise level, build quality, and size.
