Title: Great recipes - easy to follow and effective
Review: My husband, teenage daughter and I are on a mission to eat healthier. So we started out with the Detox week. When planning, it seemed daunting, especially the two all smoothie days. However with creative planning and use of the available recipes it was not difficult at all and we did not feel deprived. Audrey includes recipes that make you feel like you're cheating even when you aren't. As I was cooking I would often be thinking "this is going to be bland" due to a lack of all the extras we usually throw into our food. But these recipes are anything but bland. Everything I've made has been FULL of flavor! It's been wonderful.After our detox week, which gave us results ranging from 7 to 9 pounds of weight loss across the three of us, we continued on with the general formula of smoothie, salad, meal from this and her other cookbook. Weight loss results have definitely slowed (as they should) but we are moving in the right direction. And honestly I feel fantastic. My body is definitely responding to the significant increase in healthy foods, fruits and veggies, and I don't feel deprived. You can absolutely tailor this plan to meet the cravings you encounter: there is both a skinny brownie and a skinny chocolate chip cookie recipe that are not as good as the original but totally work to quell those cravings. We started with this book, the detox week book. Quickly ordered the original Eat to Lose Weight book. And I'm getting ready to pre-order the Easy Dinners book. I really feel like these recipes have taught me a lot about how to cook healthier and will help my family to look and feel better without doing any crazy crash dieting. This is sustainable. And that is the main thing I want from a healthy eating plan.

Review: I bought this product 9 weeks ago and have already lost almost 20 lbs.! Just like Audrey, I have been on several diets from Atkins, Biggest loser, Jenny Craig etc. I lost weight on these programs, but have always gained the weight back and more. I too was tired of starving and getting board of the food, also my chloresterol and blood pressure didn't fair well on these diets. Biggest loser took too much prep time in the kitchen and the items were difficult to find at the stores. When I saw Audrey on Rachael Ray, I decided to try her method. The recipes are easy to follow, ingredients were easy to find at the store, and the food is very tasty. I don't like to cook, but her recipes have been fun to try and I'm learning a great deal about food. I love eating regular food again instead of the diet stuff. I feel more satisfied and I am consistently losing the weight now. No Yo Yo losing / gaining. I am so glad Audrey published her story and recipes! I bought her original book as well. I do hope she continues to publish her recipes. This is life changing for me! Thank you!

Review: The recipes in this book provide a great way to kickstart or maintain healthy eating. I think a more thorough introduction would be helpful to familiarize readers with the more general parameters of the diet. For example, is eating a whole apple or a cup of blueberries as a snack ok? There were several references to Audrey John’s’ other diet books, which I was unfamiliar with

Review: This "diet" does work, and appears to me to be a well-balanced way of eating unlike some of the crazy diets out there today. The word "detox" made me pause because I do not think cleanses are a good thing and thought it was something like that, so I bought the digital version first to check it out. The author is referring to detoxing from additives and chemicals in your food and eating more natural foods such as fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables and not processed foods. The foods she suggests are easily bought at your local grocery store. I've tried a lot of the smoothies and they are good and easy to make. I haven't made a lot of the dinner type items yet, but plan on making more of them. By following her plan I did lose about 7 lbs. in the first week and have lost a little more by having the smoothies for breakfast and lunch and watching what I eat for supper. If you want to eat healthier and need to lose weight I recommend this book.

Review: Basically, smoothies and salads and a few veggie mains (which I haven’t tried). So far, I lost a healthy 3lb a week average; I’m not hungry and I’m not tired. My breakfast is a green smoothie (I add protein powder-No sugar) and the salad for lunch /dinner. I’m very impressed with her recipes. I would recommend this book to anyone who needs to lose a few pounds. It’s pretty simple. You do need some kind of blender(I use a nutra bullet). I think a regular blender would work on the higher speed settings.

Review: Think this is more for a younger person I am in my 70's and it would be hard for me to drink a gallon of water a day - I am just now drinking 32 oz a day. Also some of the recipes show very high ratings for carbs and for a diabetic this would not work. But there are some good recipes and I will be trying them.
