Knock...Knock...
When Emma finds a dead body on her porch with her name written on the dead man's hand she uncovers a sinister clue to the mystery that has haunted her since childhood.

FBI agent Emma Griffin is sent undercover to the small sleepy town of Feathered Nest to uncover the truth behind the strings of disappearances that has left the town terrified.
To Emma there is nothing that can lay buried forever. Even though her own childhood has been plagued by deaths and disappearances.
Her mother's death, her father's disappearance, and her boyfriend's disappearance. The only cases that she hasn't solved.
Her obsession with finding out the truth behind her past was what led her to join the FBI.

Now, she must face what may be her biggest case. In Cabin 13 there lies an uneasy feeling. The feeling of her movements being watched.
When a knock on her door revealed a body on her porch and her name written on a piece of paper in the dead man's hand. Suddenly her worlds collide.
With the past still haunting her, Emma must fight past her own demons to stop the body count from rising.
The woods have secrets. And this idyllic town has dark and murderous ones.
Either she reveals them or risk them claiming her too.

In Feathered Nest, nothing is what it seems.
The Girl in Cabin 13 is about to find out that the dead may have secrets of their own.

Title: Good book!
Review: This a well-written book with just enough twists and turns. It kept me guessing all the way. I'm rating it only 4 stars because I really didn't like the ending. But I'm anxious to read the next book by this author!

Title: A new series to binge on
Review: AJ Rivers specifically requests that we review the book so that he can become a better writer. I love that. It's close to getting 5 stars, but like many other reviews you've probably seen, the killer becomes obvious a little too soon. I will admit, I wasn't as sharp as some of the other reviewers, but I would have liked the suspense to last a bit longer. The story line though, is super. I love the layers and the originality of the story. I love the complexity of the characters. I don't love how naive Emma is, for her to be an FBI agent. I would expect it to take much longer for her to be so trusting with someone else, especially a male....and even more so since someone has just died on the front porch of her rental cabin at the very moment she arrives. I'd certainly hope an FBI agent is a little more guarded than that.Overall a great read. Not blockbuster, but great. I've already ordered the next several in line (and already read the next 2) and I'll be reading the entire series. I can't wait to see her story unfold.

Title: Second time around
Review: This is the second time I have read this book. Although I remember every part of the storyline, I was anxious and ready for each exciting, enduring and every heartfelt reaction as the story unfolded. I could not help but to feel for each part that I knew was coming. I wish Jake had had a better life but I'm guessing that's probably just another book..

Title: "The Girl In Cabin 13" by A.J. Rivers is a MUST read!!!
Review: Rivers blends interesting and believable characters into a gripping story that captivates the reader and leaves them hungry for more. Reading "The Girl In Cabin 13" is like watching a good movie that you don't want to end! Rivers builds in unexpected twists and plots that keeps the pages turning. She brilliantly intertwines FBI/police facts, chilling mystery, great suspense, witty dialog, and even a touch of welcomed romance into a story that is almost impossible to not get involved it. Her subplots and back stories allow the reader to really get to know the characters, which not only feeds the story line, but makes one feel like those characters become a part of your own personal circle of friends. These subplots and backstories continue into her next book "The Girl That Vanished" (review to follow after the read is complete!). Rivers has mastered her craft into an art. She paints scenes that entice and entertain the reader. Her powerful brushstrokes of words and form keep the stories moving and a joy to read! She will leave you wanting to read everything she has written!!Additional Information:The artwork and the title of the book is what originally drew me into her web. They say don't judge a book by its cover but I do. That cabin shown on the front cover made me want to find out what went on there. The rest of her books are designed the same way. The covers even feel good to the touch. The books are also 6" x 9", a bit bigger than some paperbacks, which makes for bigger words and more spacing between sentences, and thus an easy to read book. The pages are made of high quality paper that make the font stand out perfectly. It doesn't have that over crowded, bunched up word feel to it that so many books foster.I am glad to have found the books by A.J. Rivers. I plan to read them all. She has quickly catapulted to the top of my reading list after reading only "The Girl In Cabin 13". I've started on "The Girl That Vanished" and it is just a riveting as the cabin book.Rivers is a literary gift for our time. You will love her style and her interesting stories. You will love her book!!! Thanks A.J. Rivers for sharing your talent. We look forward to reading your all of your work!!!

Title: Stranger in Town
Review: The story dragged for a few chapters until I reached the middle when it became interesting. I needed to keep reading when I was getting further into the book, but the story was strange and interesting at the same time. I not sure about reading any more of this series if the story drags on like this.

Title:
Review: Pretends to be an FBI mystery. It is actually a corny girly story. From someone with well structured sentences but no idea of what an FBI agent thinks or works like. Definitely after a dead person in the first minute of the arrival would not be followed by a ice cream pancake as dinner!!!!
