Title: Perfect for a Christmas Tradition.
Review: I have NEVER made gingerbread houses before. I've always made Christmas houses with graham crackers. I tell you what--these cookie cutters make it SO much easier than even that! This comes with a recipe and two cookie cutters. Super simple, you cut two house shapes and 4 rectangles. Let cool, then assemble. This even includes a recipe for the frosting. Which is super great.I doubled the recipe for the cookies and got enough pieces for 14 houses. I rolled mine to 1/8 inch thick, and even though the recipe says it will make four houses (per recipe) I got seven per batch. I might roll them a little thicker, but the thinner pieces were really great at holding their shape and making the house. I also doubled the recipe for the royal icing, and it was just a little too much for the 14 houses. The houses are pretty little, but a perfect size for small hands to decorate. We could fit about 20 starburst candies on the roof, and it was shorter than a candy cane. About the size of a milk carton from school--which is about the same size as we were making with the graham crackers. If you are planning to use these to make your own houses, here are my suggestions:1) Get rolling pin rings. I own this set https://www.amazon.com/REGENCY-EVENDOUGH-BANDS-ROLLING-RINGS/dp/B004QP5EME/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1480290687&sr=8-2&keywords=rolling+pin+rings2) Refrigerate the dough well. Seriously, this will help.3) Bake the houses the day before you assemble the houses.4) Adult assembly is required. They fit together but kids would find it a bit frustrating5) Set them up on cardboard or cake circles

Title: Adorable, Affordable, and Practical ~ yassss!
Review: These are super cute little cookie cutters ~ I think they'll make gingerbread houses about the same size as the graham cracker ones, only much, much cuter and tastier! I love the idea, too, since everyone loves the look and experience of decorating gingerbread houses, but the store bought ones taste nasty and usually have crappy candy, so I seldom let my kids eat them because once they start, the house is ruined and I don't want to let them eat the entire thing! But these ~ these are the perfect size! Everyone can have their cake (er, gingerbread house) and eat it too!I haven't baked the cookies on the included recipe yet, but it's a pretty simple and straightforward recipe. We are hosting a little party for the kids in a few days & everyone will get their own gingerbread house to decorate and take home. And we can reuse these cute little cookie cutters every year - all for less than the price of one store bought gingerbread house with crappy candy! Win!

Title: Hobbit sized Gingerbread cutter.
Review: decently made but it's very small. Best used for making smaller buildings if you are going to make a gingerbread village or other scene.

Title: Not a great value.
Review: Just 2 cutters, and they are really tiny. Should be described as "mini" gingerbread house. Not a great value.

Title: Great size if you're looking for a gingerbread house on the smaller side.
Review: I personally think a smaller gingerbread house is the way to go. It's easier to get to glue together. And the weight of the candy is less likely to get it to collapse. What I learned is, dont' roll the dough too thick. And cook it long enough. If it's still soft, the house will collapse. Let it cool on a drying rack. I actually let it cool overnight. Assemble with thick thick royal icing. And let the icing set up for several hours before decorating. But after learning these tips, making gingerbread houses will be an annual tradition. BTW, I have special needs children. And they did an excellent job decorating! Also, I used regular icing out of the can. It doen't set up. But it's just easier and even tastes better!

Title: $10 for just cookie cutters
Review: be careful, very deceiving. You're only getting cookie cutters. Its not a full kit.

Title: Small, but perfect
Review: These met my expectations. The houses are small, but this way each person at your gathering can make their own. I’m a recipe snob so was skeptical of the gingerbread recipe and the icing recipe, but they both turned out perfectly. I went ahead and used them because it said they made 4 houses and that’s what I needed. I highly recommend using piping bags instead of ziplocs for the icing. I put the houses on 10 inch Wilton cake rounds.
