Review: This has completely eliminated the back pain I was experiencing. I got a Ride1Up LMT'D V2 and had some back pain on longer rides. I can't believe I didn't know suspension seat posts were a thing. This should be everyone's first upgrade for a hardtail ebike.Don't get me wrong, you still feel bumps. You know you went over a bump or uneven pavement, but that harsh impact is gone. You can still feel what's going on under your cheeks but that shockwave no longer travels from your booty all the way up your spine.It seems like a really well built piece. It doesn't feel or look cheap. A proper unit indeed.It does add some height and move the seat aft, so take that into account upon installation. If you're a shorter rider already maxing out your bike like me the added height is definitely something to be aware of. Luckily with the seat all the way down my geometry is pretty much perfect.The internet says these start to squeak after a while. It comes with instructions for maintenance and lubrication, so read that and do the maintenance.. Also invest in a cover to keep dirt and water out to prolong the time between maintenence events.Tl;Dr I would buy this again for every bike I ever owned. It's a steal compared to its competitors at two or three times the price. Based on other reviews, this offers 90% the performance of others at 1/2-1/3 the cost.

Title: Better than expected on mountain bike frame, first priority upgrade (ahead of seat upgrade)
Review: I hardly ever write reviews. I purchased this seat post myself and this is my honest review without anyone asking me to write one up, etc.Selection (things to remember):Make sure you select the seat post of the correct diameter and length (the one I got is 27.2 mm / 350 mm). Measure the diameter of your current seat post. Also, from my experience, in two bikes which I was going to install it on, I am glad I paid attention to the bottle mount which was installed on the seat tube (and not down tube). Because of it, I had to select 350mm as opposed to my preferred option of 400mm (would not slide all the way down due to the mounting screws going through the seat tube and which would be in the way of the seat post).Keep in mind that this seat post is for seats with rails (7mm).Also pay attention to the fact that the suspension mechanism will limit your option in terms of lowering the seat to the same level as you could before installing this seat post.Installation (easy):If you select the correct size (diameter, length), then installation is a piece of cake and takes single minutes.Adjustments (easy):Reading many reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect of a suspension performance as well as adjustment. When the suspension seat post arrived, I only made sure the adjustment (preload) was not loose and left it at its lowest setting (most cushy ride). It is perfect (for the riders that tried using it ~165 lbs and even lower).Performance (great):I tried riding on so-so local roads and I am very impressed. It does what it is supposed to do and "smoothens" the road. I notice it mostly due to the fact that my seat does NOT have any springs nor elastomers and as such is pretty much like a brick on a seat post. It was unbearable before purchasing this suspension seat post. I can finally enjoy the ride (10-15 miles) returning home without pain. It made the ride so much more comfortable that now I have to find a solution for a front suspension, too. And... upgrading the seat itself became second or third priority.I have not tried any other type of riding (such as mountain or anything) and cannot comment on performance in such conditions.Alternatives considered:I tried a number of seats (those called comfortable, with suspension, elastomers, narrow, wide, very wide, etc.) before deciding on this seat post. I never even thought of it, but... after getting the seats and figuring out there is simply no comfortable seat that I can find (including the fact that some of them cannot be mounted on my bike due to non-standard rail spacing!), I got interested in this seat post. I am glad I did. I purchased the first one (not on amazon) and right after testing it for the first one hour, decided right away to get a second one (here on amazon).Side benefit (flexibility):If I ever want to upgrade a bike and the newly selected one would come with no rear suspension, I can always transfer this seat post (and save money I would otherwise have to spend on a bike with rear suspension). Yes, there is a difference in bikes with rear (or full) suspension, but this seat post will definitely be sufficient for me.Packaging and shipping:No problem with packaging, the seat post arrived in one piece without any damage. The package arrived fairly quick (as expected).Satisfaction:10 of 10 (would recommend to a friend)

Title: For those who have lower back and tailbone pain…
Review: I discovered the Suntour NCX suspension seat post tube on Amazon and holy $@&t! It has made cycling so comfortable and enjoyable for me. I am pain-free in the tailbone and lower back area after 20+ mile long rides now! Well with a bad back you are never pain free but the pain does not get worse due to long bike rides now. I ride an asphalt trail and I know every bump and crack on the path. Now I don’t have to avoid the bumps I used to avoid. I just roll over them with no issue or discomfort to my back/tailbone area. The suspension takes care of them. This upgrade was like the difference between sleeping on concrete versus sleeping in a luxurious bed! Also there is very little maintenance to the Suntour post, once in a while you wipe it down then spray it with lube again. There is no bleeding fluid lines or complicated systems!Now I know why cars have suspension, for comfort, now it makes sense why car suspension gets better and better over the years, for more comfort! With no rear suspension on a bike, your spine is working as the suspension, taking and absorbing all the bumps in the road, aggressively hammering your tailbone and vertebrae up and downThere were other seat post tube options, but this one in particular had a 4.5 rating and 7,000+ reviews. Also the way it looks/design is different and stood out from the other options I was considering. What really sold me was a YouTube video of a guy who had a camera pointed at the Suntour seat post while he was riding on it and it looked like exactly what i needed.If the price of getting a suspension seat post tube at around $100 is too much for you then your back pain isn’t even close to bad and that’s a good thing! Be grateful for your back health! Those with real back pain will pay anything for relief. If you have back problems but want to enjoy cycling mostly pain free then buy it! I am not a paid shill but I wish I was so I could get paid for every suspension seat post tube that is sold because of this post, if any.Hopefully this helps those out who aren’t having as much fun cycling as they could be because of a bad back!
