Title: Works ok, better for large quantities
Review: I was very excited to try this pork shredder out. I spoke with a friend once, who makes very large quantities of pulled pork, and he told me about a tool like this that he uses. I've tried using forks, and special shredder forks, along with knives and hands, for shredding pork. This was going to be a time saver for me, and, hopefully, provide me a more consistent shredded pork.I tried shredding two pork roasts, one about 3.5 lbs., and the other about 3 lbs. This tool shredded most of the pork, but not all of it, leaving large chunks that I still had to shred by hand. It also spread the shredded pieces out of the pan I was using to shred the pork in, getting it all over my legs and the ground. The issue could be one of two things for me: 1. The pork was overcooked and too tough, or 2. There just wasn't enough product to keep it from spraying everywhere. There could be other factors, like the pot I was using to shred the pork in was the wrong size for the given amount of pork, or I was going too fast or too slow with the drill. But anyway, this did not work well for me, unfortunately.I do not think this is a design flaw or a bad product, I just don't think that this is a good tool for small, family size portions.I do recommend this for people who are making large quantities of pulled pork (or pulled chicken), but if you are making small quantities, you may be better off with a pair of shredding claws.

Title: Not bad
Review: I smoke a lot of pork shoulders and I wanted to get something to make the shredding process quicker. This did the job for me. It arrived very quickly. I smoked about 38 pounds of pork shoulder to give it the inaugural test and it took me about 3-4 minutes to get all of it shredded. The one thing I learned very quickly is that while using it you have to make sure the pork is in a berry deep container otherwise it would fling pork everywhere. Luckily I had a deep ice chest I could toss it all in to shred it. If you smoke a lot of pork for pulled pork I highly recommend this product. It gave a very even shred throughout the meat and worked exalently.

Title: Works well when using adequate container
Review: I've seen people use these things before, and I finally got a chance to use one myself.I recently have become a BBQ fanatic, smoking up pork and brisket somewhat regularly. On a recent pork butt smoke, I whipped out this shredder to see how it worked. After a little bit of trial, I found that I did enjoy using this shredder. For this recent cook, I realized after I started that I didn't have the proper container to us the tool in. I had to be more cautious shredding in the metal bowl. I'd push into chunks I could see and turn the drill to break them up, after a while, the contents of the bowl became more uniform. This shredder is basically a food-grade paint mixer, so next time I need to use it in conjunction with a metal pot (tall straight sides, not teflon coated). Using the bowl as shown, I was worried I would fling pieces of meat out of the container, and did once.High-speed not recommended on the drill, I had to turn the gear ratio down and go slower. These shredders also look like they would work great to make some good mashed potatoes! So that will be a cook for another day.

Title: Big
Review: This product is bigger than what I expected. But it works amazing. If you have a large pot and you want to shred chicken and beef pork it works amazing. It attaches easily to my drill and away we go. It is well-made and the price is great.

Title: Enormous Gadget
Review: This thing is MUCH bigger than expected. It's more on the side of concrete mixer vs. kitchen tool. But it's very sturdy and fits my drill, so it gets the job done. Very solid so shreds meat well, but again you'd probably look pretty silly if you're only doing a couple chicken breasts or one boston butt. This is a commercial-quality backyard super gadget. It's not just for meat either, I actually used this to break up potting soil before starting my seeds this year, so it's a pretty multipurpose claw mixer.
