Title: Perfect solution!
Review: I spent a lot of money on a Beats Solo 3 for my son. It did not even last a week when my son took it to school and broke the hinge(1st picture). The right headphone piece was hanging by one slender wire. I really got upset when I saw it. However, I found the replacement hinge on Amazon but did not know how to replace it.I looked at several Amazon reviews and YouTube videos, and every one of them recommended complex steps requiring a skill set to tear apart the headset and soldering the wires back together. I did not have the ability, skill, patience or the time to do that.I liked one idea from a particular reviewer,(âto get the wire through the hinge, cut the new hinge with a Dremel instead of unsoldering the fine wiresâ) which I did by cutting the hinge in the middle with a sharp file(see 2nd picture) to guide the headphone wire. Voilà the piece snapped in place!!Donât forget to place the metal piece/bracket that comes with the hinge. The steps to screw the hinge in place are available on YouTube videos. The cut on the hinge is not visible in the end when you cover it with the rubber headband. Make sure that you have a slender pair of tweezers to put the pin on one side back in(you have to remove one pin to snap the hinge in place). My headphone is now as good as new! Thanks to the one reviewer who suggested cutting the hinge using the dremel tool and also thanks to all the sellers who provide the replacement parts that look like the originals! The 3rd picture is the completed awesome piece of work!!

Title: Take your time, do as I say, not as I did
Review: Want to reiterate that this is a pain. You need a heat gun, thin solder pencil, lighted magnifier ( my 60 year old eyes), glue and maybe a third hand with tweezers. You need to be extremely careful removing the wires, my set had glue on every connector as well as most of the length of wire. Unfortunately I ruined the harness while removing the wires from the case. I applied heat and pryed carefully and still messed it up. Whoever assembled this went nuts with glue. Big bummer. I did find a harness on a site that posted an instructional video. Overpriced but I needed it. So I purchased these hinges, replacement ear pads and a fifty dollar harness. Sigh.Hinges look great and fit perfectly.
