Title: Amature Scone Cookbook
Review: I am a total scone lover and wanted to add another cookbook of this type to my collection. Lots of recipes, but this cookbook has the appearance of an "amateur" cookbook instead of a professionally published one based upon the font, spacing and overall layout. Still, if the recipes are good I will overlook that aspect.

Title: Lots of Scone Recipes in Book
Review: There were only three scone recipes that I saw that I wanted to make out of many and some of the methodology in making a couple of the recipes were a little more complex and involved than scone recipes usually are. One of them called for rolling out the scone dough. One thing I love about scones is that they are easy and quick to make. I was disappointed.

Title: The recipes are yummy
Review: The formatting and pictures leave a LOT to be desired.The recipes themselves are simply lovely. I would highly recommend obtaining this book if you haven't met a scone you do not like!Edit: I've been making a different batch every two days to try all of the recipes..... No regrets! These scones are delicious!

Title: Photos and recipes don't match!
Review: In this Scone book as well as the Scottish Recipe book the instructions always say while cutting scones to pat into a 1" high circle and cut into triangles while the photos show round and square cut scones. Confusing as the recipe and the photos are different and don't go together. I would think an experienced baker would realize this.

Title: A wide variety of scones
Review: I ordered the book as being a âBritâ ( now in the US ) love baking new things and have baked lots of scones in my time. There are so many varieties which I will be trying. The only downside is that the photos in the book are in black and white. Maybe this is to keep the costs down of the book.

Title: Flour measurements
Review: Flour should be weighed or fluffed instead of simply scooping out of a flour container. My scooped out flour would not be the same as someone else's scooped out flour. The amount of flour used in baking makes a huge difference. This scones book does not use weight measurements or the fluff method. That is not good.
