Title: Fascinating facts and fun learning
Review: Clever Kids Word Search: United States Presidents by Scott Peters is an invaluable book for children, a gold mine of historical facts about the Presidents of United States of America. It is amazing that so much of information could be compressed into one book along with fascinating facts and puzzles. The puzzles are simple with big lettering and perfect for kids. Besides engaging children in constructive word-search games, this book could be a useful companion and resource book for teachers to create more projects out of the ideas presented in this book.Could History be such fun? Could it be integrated into wholesome learning â combining it with vocabulary, spellings and natural learning? I would like to congratulate Scott for compiling some quirky details in a fascinating manner and placing them with facts to produce the desired effect. This book is for your personal library! I enjoyed it and shared some humorous facts with my husband. Highly recommended for children as well as teachers.

Title: Educational and entertaining
Review: Dear parents who are unexpectedly having to home-school their kids during this pandemic: are you looking for something that will be educational as well as entertaining for your elementary school aged kids? Are you having a hard time forcing them (or yourself) to sit there and study their US history lessons? This book is your answer! The book contains word searches and interesting facts for every US president. The facts included will likely lead your child to look up more facts on their own: did you know there was such a thing as a $100,000 bill, or that President Woodrow Wilson was on it? Did you know that President Herbert Hoover spoke Mandarin Chinese? When your child is finished with this book, s/he will know that, as well as several other interesting facts about US historyâ¦and you will have had a few hours of quiet time while they were looking for words.

Title: The best kind of click bait 😉 â Educational!
Review: This little book is packed full of interesting facts about the US Presidents. I enjoyed the word searches and learning little tidbits I didn't know before! I would love to see an augmented version of this book with *just* a touch more info. For instance, the $100,000 bill. I had to google to find out that it did, indeed, exist, but that it was never for public circulation and that it's illegal to own one! But perhaps that's the idea, to whet one's curiosity and get you googling. Fun!

Title: A worthy goal
Review: The author recommends this book for children aged eight and up. (I remember reading to my daughters through that age. Around ten or twelve, they lose interest. At least mine did.) The lucky kids and their parents will be delighted in this clear and well-written volume. The layout is clean and attractive.The kids would be somewhat geeky to be interested in the forty-five presidents at a time when many of them likely think of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln as the early presidents, maybe even the first and second. (I remember reading about John Quincy Adams but not ever wanting to mention it to any of my school mates.) I suspect stegosaurus and its place in the food chain might appeal to an elementary grader sooner than Andrew Jackson and the creation of the two-party system of American politics or Van Buren and the Vale of Tears.Accompanying the clear text are concise "facts" about each of the forty-five men and a puzzle on each of them. The puzzles are word puzzles and the author provides a key to every one but also encourages his readers to engage a friend or a sibling to discuss each puzzle. In the discussion, there would be more learning.This is a worthy goal. I wish it every success.
