Title: It was a good book for Christmas cheer & carols
Review: I got the first edition of this book while in high school (30+ years ago) for my piano lessons. It was a good book for Christmas cheer & carols, but I still use it everyday for the lovely old hymns: In the Garden, Love Divine, He, Just a Closer Walk With Thee, He's Only a Prayer Away, Softly and Tenderly (Jesus is calling, O Sinner come home!) Plus, there are plenty of secular songs: Frosty the Snow Man, Jingle Bells, Jingle-Bell Rock, Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Auld Lang Syne, Nuttin' For Christmas, Toyland, et al. This is a great book. I'm glad it's available again. I bought one for my sister for Christmas. The binding of the new book does make it difficult for using on a piano stand, but it's worth it to have the collection. My old copy is spiral bound, so it will lay flat on a piano stand. The copy I recently bought was of good quality, the paper was a good weight, the ink was dark, and the pages did not stick together.

Review: My elderly mother asked for a Christmas songbook and it took a long of searching to find one that has all the ones I remember from childhood. The only downside is that the print is quite small, but other than that, this is a keeper!

Review: I love this music book. I had an original copy from way back when, but the backing had broken down on it. My husband lost the back half at church during Christmas season. I just had to have my Christmas Songs and Carols, so I purchased the newer version. It's one of the most entertaining music books to have around during the Christmas season. Everyone enjoys singing all those old Christmas songs around the piano. A great value. Love it!
