Review: As there seems to be some confusion in how this device functions in the reviews I wanted to lay it out simply so here it goes:This is an android device that wires into your car using USB through Carplay or Android Auto. When you don't have a phone connected to it, it basically just makes your Carplay or AA act like a tablet where it has installed apps and an SD slot. You can connect it to wifi like a hotspot ro use it as a standalone device if you want. If you sinply want it to be a way to wirelessly connect a Carplay or AA device to a car, it can do that as well. You need to set it to launch Speedplay automatically when it turns on and that will automatically connect to the most recent devcie (CP or AA) that is in range and make your phone's auto mode show on your car's screen as if you have the phone plugged in directly.The basic OS is just a simple iteration of android and I don't trust that the android version isn't full of backdoors like most cheap android devices from China so I didn't log into anything in the OS and simply use it to connect to my phone wirelessly. It connects to my android phone seamlessly and I am able to use AA on my car even though it only supports Carplay because the box tells the car that it is using Carplay.All the standard AA features of my phone work well through it. There isn't a lot of lag, the screen looks good even though my car uses portrait mode instead of landscape so that's a plus, audio sounds good, and the screen is properly responsive, however there are some caveats. The Maps won't show on my dash like the built-in version of the car does so I still use the car's nav to get directions and when I play a message through AA, for some reason, it cancels my car's navigation which is actually really bothersome. Adding AA is the main reason I got this so to have a standard feature cause other car functions to fail is kind of a deal breaker for me. Others with different cards may have different experiences and I know that my use case is a little odd because I am basically tricking an AAOS device to have standard AA features, but it isn't ideal in my case.

Title: Works, but reliability isn't there for the amount of setup it requires
Review: Bottom line is that it works. I got this because while my car has wireless carplay/android auto, my wife's doesn't and she was pretty jealous about the convenience of not even needing to take your phone out your pocket. We do not use any of the special features like youtube, so I won't speak to that.Setup is very annoying. When you plug it in, an Android interface comes up, and you use that to add your device(s). That interface is extremely clunky and not at all intuitive. We have an android and apple device, and can confirm both work. However, switching between the 2 phones is rough.I use my wife's car pretty frequently during the weekends, so I get a bit of time with it and the time it takes to switch phones makes it not worth using IMO. I just plug my phone directly into the car. My wife went from really loving it to saying it sucks, because the reliability went out the window. She says it disconnects multiple times now on her ~45 minute commute, whereas when we first got it there were no such issues. For our use case I would suggest looking at something else.

Title: Drops Audio
Review: Mine is a house divided between Android and Apple. I have a Samsung and the wife has an iPhone. Every time we switch as drivers, we'd have to also switch cables to plug our phones into the car for carplay or AA. I was looking for something that can wirelessly switch so I picked up this wireless adapter. This wireless adapter works great as long as you don't get any phone calls. Once you pick up or make a phone call, the audio drops out and goes silent. The music app resumes but there is no audio to the music. You can unplug it and plug it back in to get the audio back but it seems to be more of a chore than my original problem to begin with. This adapter is a great concept but it's just not perfected in it's execution. I really wanted to love it but it's just not there yet.
