Compatible with HP laptops, MacBook® computers, and other notebooks (2), this USB dock is great for organizing your desk with its small footprint and single-cable set-up. Whether it’s displays or other electronic accessories, your universal dock will assist with charging, data transfers, and networking between devices. (1) For USB-C® functionality, host PCs must support the DisplayPort™ Alt mode protocol through its USB-C® port. Thunderbolt™-enabled notebooks will function at USB-C® speeds. Charging and port replication is supported on notebooks that have implemented USB-C® industry specifications. Power button to turn on or wake the system, Wake-on LAN from warm and cold dock, Wake-on LAN from S4/S5, and MAC Address Pass-Through in S0, S3, S4, S5 warm and cold dock features only function on HP or HP-supported notebooks. HP does not provide Ethernet and audio drivers on Mac PCs. (2) Based on HP internal testing on select non-HP notebook models compatible with USB-C® industry standards. Certain Alt mode features are not supported, such as power button, MAC Address Pass-Through, Wake-on LAN, and OOB Wake on LAN. Title: Versatile Product
Review: This is a great product for adding multiple screeens, additional USB ports to your laptop for home docking station. Now, before purchasing, check your existing equipment for compatibility. Check your monitor connections, it has two HD Monitor connections and only one HDMI connection. If your monitor has old school 10 pin (blue) connector, it will not connect. Second is your laptops USB ports. It connects with USB-C, if your USB-C or A ports do not have a Lightning ⚡️ symbol next to them, they are not compatible. You will not be able to use this hub. So check your stuff before purchasing, is my FYI.

Title: Great time saver
Review: My wife works from home and the office regularly. Her laptop goes wherever she goes. Her company has this dock at the office, and when she told me about it I looked into it. It essentially takes your entire desktop, monitors, keyboard, mouse, headset and hooks it up to you laptop with a single USB C cord. It's much smaller than a traditional dock, and works with different types of computers. Well done HP!

Title: Great docking system ... not perfect but does its job.
Review: Some glitches because it depends on your system, like monitor compatibility with HDMI and display port utilization and hard drive connections. For monitors, HDMI and USB C or display port use. The display port may have glitches with some monitors especially gaming monitors. One I used the Display port on the dock but HDMI for the monitor and solved the issue. Some hard drives will "disconnect" especially with the USB A types. I just have to plug it in again... It was an old drive... for occasional back ups no need to connect to dock all the time. I hope it solves your issues.

Title: Did not work out of the box.
Review: I'm familiar with this equipment from using it at work and looked forward to using it at home to clean up my workspace. Set it up and the ports didn't work and the power to the computer didn't work. It clearly had defective internal parts/connections/etc. Won't buy it again or trust computer equipment bought on Amazon.

Review: Once my company required us to go into work for 2-3 days per week, they added these HP USB-C docks at our workstations. THey worked beautifully from day one, are compact, look good and just do what they're supposed to do.Long story short- I tried another company's version (not cheap, big name) and it was NOT a plug-n-play solution!! After trying not 1, but 2 units from the other company, I gave up & ordered this dock. It showed up this afternoon & within minutes, I had what I needed for my WFH station.

Review: One of the USB ports and one of the 2-display ports don't connect tightly enough with the cables / dongles to keep your peripherals working. I keep losing my mouse connection as well as the camera on my 2nd monitor that I want to use rather than the laptop camera. Unfortunately, I was away for a month shortly after purchasing the unit and now AMazon tells me I'm not eligible for a refund because I waited too long.
