Title: Will not work since the buyout by Google!
Review: I purchased the Fitbit Alta HR and it was working for a while. Apparently, Google bought out Fitbit recently and slowly but surely the features are no longer working; no longer tracks sleep score, no longer tracks sleep cycles, etc. At one time Fitbit had quality products but, unfortunately, that is no longer the case!

Title: Inspire 2 was much better
Review: I disagree that the band is easier to get on and off on this watch — at least compared to my old Inspire. It uses the same Ernst spring rod as in old watch bands which can easily slip out when you are trying to put the band on and get lost. The holes it fits into are not very easy to see. The Inspire had many more choices of bands and the clasp was easier to use. I could change bands very quickly.I particularly dislike the fact that it is too easy to accidentally turn on the “do not disturb” and not realize it. It’s also not that easy to undo. I also don’t like the rounded screen which keeps screen protectors from staying on. The vibration is too soft so I often miss it if there is a lot of noise, something that didn’t often happen with my Inspire. I depend on the watch to remind me to take medication so it really matters — as does missing texts and phone calls.

Title: Be ready to replace a bit after a year has passed.
Review: My recent Alta HR Fitbit died, 2 months after the warranty expired. My first one died because I forgot that I had left it on, and I got in a hot tub wearing it. However, I was very careful with my replacement. Yes, I sweated in it, after all, it is for tracking fitness, but I was very careful with it. It began to not hold a charge. I chatted with a Fitbit representative and did everything they asked me to, from cleaning the charging posts, to resetting it, to syncing it multiple times a day. Finally after about a week, they accepted my conclusion; that it was indeed dead. However, because it was out of warranty, they would only give me a 30% discount on a replacement, and that was limited to certain models. Why would I want to purchase another Fitbit and have it die after the warranty had just expired? I like the product, but I am not impressed with the longevity of the product nor the company standing behind their product by making this right in replacing it. It seems that when you pay around $140 for an item, it should last longer. Be aware that they do not last.

Title: not worth the $279 these price gouging nuts are asking
Review: Alta HR was great, mine died last week, won't hold a charge more than 8 hours, and I paid $159 here on Amazon 6 years ago. EBAY has them $130 now, but here or there, you're buying a Fitbit they quit making March 2019

Title: Terribly inaccurate for heart rate! What a disappointment. See photo of ridiculous readings.
Review: I had a F Alta for several years. It was great, and was always functional as expected. I bought a cheap charger and it caused it to burn up and die. It got very hot, burning my fingers. Fitbit sent me a brand new one without any questions. The new one was dysfunctional and would not sync, no matter what. So I got the Alta HR, second hand. It is almost useless except for keeping time, and passing on texts from my iPhone. The app may be an issue as well. It makes graphs that show my HR has been amazingly high all day, up and down( when I know bu checking the watch that it has not been so. I really wanted to know my HR when I slept, because I have OSA; and during exercise. In both cases, it just stops working completely. The minute I step on the exercise bike- no reading. Same as when I go off to sleep. So it may be a combo of trouble between the app and the watch itself. Either way, terribly inaccurate. Really disappointed. I have added a photo of the ridiculous readings for today, while I was sitting in a chair all day. I have a pulse oximeter, so I know.

Title: Died after 8 months
Review: I received a flex for christmas and I loved it!!! i have very small wrists. Bought all the bands and necklaces and it died 12 months later. I received the Alta this past christmas, 8 months and it's dead. Again I spent alot of money on different bands.... I have just received the inspire. The box was open so not really confident that this one will last either. Crossing my fingers. The Alta was very clunky and uncomfortable for my wrist. 5 3/4 size. The inspire feels lighter so I'm hoping. Nothing will compare to the flex in comfort and cute bands. The app is fine. I know some people dislike that it is not perfectly accurate. Not sure any of them are. I love the notifications to get up and move. Not too sure if I can buy any more bands! Everyone of these uses different ones. boooo

Title: Lasted about 2 years
Review: This is my 2nd Alta HR, replaced in 6/19. I use it to track activity, calories, weight, & sleep. It has needed a restart every day since 4/9, sometimes twice a day. So giving up & replacing. Out of Warrenty & offered 35% discount But not on Fitbit Ace 3 or Luxe and Not combined with any other discount. So far Alta not listed only Inspire 2 & Charge 4 which is already reduced $30, so an extra $15.15.I have lost 30 lbs. so worth the “annual” fee for easy tracking. The other features are not important to me so no comment. Support only knows how to give reset instructions & pairing. Synced with iPhone to messages & calls is nice but not necessary for me.

Title: By Far the Best Tracker I Have Ever Used
Review: I have had six of these accelerometer/GPS watches including Garmin and Apple (Apple so disappointing), and other Fitbit watches. This one is super simple, has lasted for 2.5 years and goes 5 or 6 days between charges. BUT WHAT'S UP WITH THE PRICE!?!?! I paid $49 for mine. The watch is not worth $229. You are probably better off with the Inspire (i have one) for $59.

THE END
