Practical Guide to Investing and Trading in the Stock Market This book explains in clear and understandable language how anyone can benefit from learning about trading and investing in the stock market. All of the necessary basics are set forth, including the differences between trading and investing.

A veteran trader, Andrew Aziz, shares some of his own proven day trading strategies in the stock market and discusses key "to dos" and "not to dos" every new day trader must know before putting their hard-earned money at risk. Two chapters of the book are dedicated to the art and science of swing trading in the stock market. Effective swing trading strategies are outlined, and all are amply illustrated with examples from real trades that took place in the stock market.

The final section of the book is devoted to investing in the stock market. You will learn not only how to read a company's financial statements and select winning stocks, but also how to construct a well-balanced investment portfolio that is resilient in stock market downturns.

Given that the author and his guest contributor have quite different backgrounds in finance, a unique opportunity is created for the reader to capture a very broad picture of the true potential of trading and investing in the stock market.

In summary, you will learn the following key concepts about the stock market by reading this book:What are stocks? What are exchanges, indices and ETFs and how stock market works in general. How to pick the right brokerage account before entering the stock market. How to read price action and candle stick charts. How to day trade: opening range break down, ABCD patternHow to swing trade: Cup and Handle, Head and Shoulders patternHow to pick stocks based on P/E multiple and key fundamental ratiosWhat to look for in income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements of different companies to pick winners in the stock marketHow to construct a well-diversified portfolio that can protect your money even in the stock market downturn

Title: Very informative! Recommended, definitely!
Review: I love the honesty about the authors. Well explained, guided, presented. You could only get very discourage or very excited. I don't think there are middle points. I would say this book is very to the point, and some times repetitive for a very good reason. I usually don't take the time write reviews, but the authors kindly requested; not for money, but for orientation to other people, which I think it helps. It definitely inspired me.

Title: This is THE book for new and old investors/traders alike!
Review: Hey all, my name is Matt (writing this under my wife's account because that is where I bought it)...where to begin!? As the headline states, this is THE book for all types of investors/traders looking to start or build their knowledge. I come from a background of NOTHING in this field and even my friends who have been investing & trading for years did not know some of the things I brought up after reading this book. The book is not long and the author uses very plain language to make it easier to understand; there is no "fluff" in the best way. It only made me want to learn more, preferably from this author and anything else he recommends. The market is no longer intimidating to me (although I know there is so much more to learn).I looked at other books, their reviews, and the ideas those books contain...dozens of them...until I found this one and it was an immediate purchase; after reading I knew I made the right choice. At the very end, the author even gives his email address for his readers to reach out to make comments, join his newsletter, receive some supplemental information, and answer any questions. I almost never leave reviews, and I definitely wouldn't normally reach out like that, but I did. Despite what I can only assume is a hectic schedule, he replied within 1 business day! He answered some lingering questions and it felt like a very personal response which I appreciated greatly.BUY this book if you are like me and don't know where to begin...or if you have been around a while and need a refresher.

Title: A Great Start To knowledge
Review: Although, mentioned by the author, this book is only the starting foundation and knowledge for us the readers to learn and have an understanding about the Stock Market. I've seen negative reviews about the book, that hence the idea of reading a single book, will make them rich in a instance. If you believe that one book will do the greatest of miracles and make you rich, then you will be wrong. It takes time and patience to understand something, but it's harder to understand something fully, especially with lack of education and knowledge. This is a great book for anyone considering how the Stock Market works and I cannot express how much knowledge it gives you, that it actually makes you think and wonder about yourself, the market, and your future. Overall, an outstanding book and a great read.

Title: It’s very basic
Review: I’m 92 pages into it and haven’t really learned anything I don’t know already. I’m a new trader. Biggest issue I have is the amount of mistakes in the book like I don’t think anyone proof read it.

Title: If you are a newbe, this book is for you!
Review: I cannot recommend this book too highly for people who are not versed in the stock market. I purchased it because I have a significant amount of capital and was losing money having by it in the bank. However, thanks to this book I learned plenty, and enough to know that I would never do my own investing, but rather rely on experts instead. As Aazizina so well explains, investing directly in the stock market without a great deal of expertise and hard work is like gambling, and like all gambling you will eventually lose. In this business, you are pitted against the best brains in the world, and for everyone who wins there is someone who loses. That someone will be you if you do not dedicate yourself heart and soul into this business, and a business it is. Here, I also learned the difference between trading, which is daily arbitraging, where the value of a given company is irrelevant, and long-term investing, where daily fluctuations in price are only somewhat relevant to know when exactly to purchase or sell your stock. Still, the stock market has a mind of its own. It is not what you think; it is what the market thinks, and to understand difference that takes lots of experience, learning and hard work. What Aazizinia brings to the table is brutal honesty. If you really wish to make the stock market your business and are willing to spend the huge time and effort to really learn it before you invest, then this book is for you as a starter, and, if like me, you simply wish to invest your money and to learn, perhaps, whether the investor you pick may not working with your best interests in mind, then this book is also for you. As in any other business, the more you know, the better you will do. So, if you are a newbie like me, get this book first!

Review: I have been investing for about 3 years now. I was reading lots online, but decided to pick up a book just to make sure I understand the basics. Well I did learn lots from this book and I suggest it to anyone who invests or trades. I've started making plans and evaluations of my investments instead of just well going by what I feel like. Not that I have done poorly, but I certainly could do better. There is always something new to learn.
