Title: Fun for the whole family
Review: Bought it for my Lego enthusiasts nibbling, he’s only 8. Learning how to play/reading the directions feels a little overwhelming, however once you start to play it’s easy and engaging. Would recommend watching a video tutorial rather than reading the directions. There are modifications for a more challenging game.

Title: Fun game with strategic depth that is easy to learn
Review: We are adult gamers and AFOLs (Adult Fans of LEGO) and we found this game fairly easy to learn. The non LEGO components are engaging and well made, and there is a fair bit of strategy to enjoy. High replayability. Bold and aggressive moves are not the only way to win, patient playing is also rewarded.

Title: Really needs better manual
Review: You like Lego? You like family games? What about a Lego game? Awesome, right? I'm with you till I get the directions open and am hit with:Okay, every turn has 8 stages. For the first stage, there are four things to remember, and then there are nine more rules about where you can and cannot place that stage. And if you have any questions, you'll figure it out.Most, uh, bananas wins, because Monkey, and you get bananas by random card order of the cards you purchase based on credits received in stage one and of course the starting square color. Strategy!I played through a few turns on my own just to get the hang of it, but I had a few questions still that I had to answer on my own based on the pictures in the manual and box. Mainly, does an arch step have to build directly on another arch, or can you put bricks and columns between them. I think that any step can be any number of levels higher than the step before it, and it must be higher, not lower or level with the previous arch.So I think it will be fun, but learning it will take a few times. Maybe there's a video somewhere I can find. It's not more complicated than Wingspan and we like that game, but Wingspan came with the Swift Start and 3 huge volumes of detailed instructions - this manual is two sheets of paper that aren't even stapled.I think my kids, 10 and 12, will enjoy it, and they'll try because it says Lego, but we play some other deeper games too, so they're used to things being complicated. I don't think it'll take top spot over Challengers, Quacks of Quedlinburg, or even Catan Jr for similarly long games.My other complaint is the board feels like it's going to break when I try to pop off the pieces, so I think eventually it might. Especially the corner pieces are very snug.

Title: Very fun game
Review: Very awesome game. My 10-year-old and my eight-year-old love this game. It is easy to understand and play and there is a bit of strategy involved. LEGO pieces are very durable and fun to use. Object of the game is awesome. Great game well worth your money.

Title: Fun Lego Game
Review: My family has a lot of Lego games. Overall, we feel like Lego games are good quality and usually pretty simple to play. This game falls in line with that except it was a little more difficult learning how to play (the rulebook could be clearer).With this game, players are working together to rebuild a monkey palace. You can choose from 4 playing boards (there are two boards total and they are both double sided, so you have 4 options). In the end, you are trying to collect the most bananas of any player. My family had fun playing this. We are big Lego fans, so it's always fun to build Lego. One tip I always offer when learning how to play a new game (especially if anything is confusing to you) is to watch an instructional video of how to play. There are many out there for most games, some from the manufacturer and some from YouTubers, etc. We watched a video on this one, and it helped us for sure. The components of this game are well-made as is the box and I like that the storage is separated for the Lego pieces. It's another fun addition to our Lego games.I look at reviews a lot while shopping. I hope this review helps!

Title: Good concept, unclear directions
Review: Maybe I live in a lost world, where instructions for board games were 500 pages long and utter clear in excruciating detail (albeit often with a shorter intro for those who wanted just the basics). This game, however, goes the other direction. Skimmed down instructions mean that we had to guess at some of the steps along the way. The pieces were high quality (it is name brand Lego, after all), and I THINK there's a good game here. But the instructions are so unclear that we spent so much time guessing about what to do next that the game wasn't all that fun to play. So maybe with a reprint this will be an excellent game, but as of now it's just so-so.

Title: High Quality Lego Game!
Review: This box comes with everything you'll need to play. Each turn you get a few pieces of brick to make "Stairs." The taller your stairs go the more points you get. Depending on where you start your staircase, your choice of cards at the end of your turn will differ. You use cards to get even more bricks on your next turn, creating an "engine" of brick drawing. Each card you earn has victory points attached, whoever has the most victory points at the end of the game wins. I look forward to bringing this to thanksgiving and getting my family to play. It seems like a fun game. I ran a test-game earlier and the rules make sense, and is pretty fun. Perhaps the game could get a little slow or uninteresting if you don't play with the alternative-monkey-blocking rules. But I like the style, it's very unique, I can't wait to play with my family.
