Our story

How we got our start The original FixMeStick virus removal device was developed in 2011. Co-founders Marty Algire and Corey Velan created a product that solved the problem many of their family and friends were facing: removing computer viruses! Title: Great Tool
Review: Between my wife and I, we have three lap tops and two desktops. I use this even on our older ones that we keep mostly as back up, and this tool keeps them virus free and functional.Unfortunately, or fortunately, I didn’t have any virus’ on any of my computers, so I can’t speak to that functionality, but it did a through job of searching for them and seemed efficient at doing so.I’m glad it works on muliple computers, since I think most of us have more than one.

Title: A NIFTY LITTLE DEVICE IF USED PROPERLY
Review: This is an interesting device that I purchased not long ago. I finally got to use it on two of my computers and it seemed to work very well. I dosuggest that the user pay attention to the instructions on the screen and not to the ad on TV. If you wish to use it on you computers, I suggest youdisconnect any aux hard drives you may have. I have several on my computers to be used as backup and I have thousands of pictures on them,and if left connected to the computer it will add enormous amout of time to the scanning process. You do not just insert it into a USB port and waita couple of minutes: it may take hours to just scan the device. Once the scan is complete, then you are given the option of erasing any errors orviruses found which only then takes a matter of seconds to clean. It took me 91/2 hours to scan one of my machines, but when I detached theaux hard drive, it took about 41/2 hours. I have a lot of stuff on my aux hard drives, mainly pictures which should not need to be scanned. Otherwise, it seemed to work well and clean up my machines. I do strongly recommend it, though I only gave it 4 stars because of the time ittakes to complete a full scan. But it is easy to use and quickly erases viruses once detected. I got mine from Amazon, not the TV and bought theone for two years after first using it and will cover 5 devices; after 2 years you can renew the device for use. You can use it as often as you likeduring the two years. Get yours if you need it or spend a lot of time on the Internet as I do.

Title: Takes a long time to find out it doesn't work
Review: I bought FixMeStick two years ago and it worked as advertised, effectively removing viruses from multiple computers for the full two-year period. So I bought it again despite the surprisingly high number of negative reviews. The first time I tried to run it, it got stuck on stage 2 of a 5-stage process. It was stuck for more than 8 hours. I tried it on a second computer with the same result. No error messages, nothing suggested to try. When this product runs normally, it usually took several hours because it scans every location where a virus might hide. Great. The downside is that it takes several hours to find out the thing doesn't work. I didn't even try calling their service number. At $90, I don't expect or intend to spend hours with the product and then hours on the phone trying to get it to work. Something's happened to the product or their quality control since my first purchase. Too bad, it's a great concept and used to give a great product experience. No more. The first three letters of the product name should be changed to a popular four letter word.

Title: FixMeStick worked in 75% of the cases (the company still covered the remaining)
Review: The FixMeStick works outside of Windows, does not need Windows, and does not crash as a result of a Windows flaw, virus, etc. That is a virtue, I have four computers: two PCs and two laptops. Originally I bought a three-computer device (excluded one of my computers); later I gave it to a friend and bought a five-computer device (covered all four computers). The two PCs are hardware-identical, so the FixMeStick should have worked on both PCs. However, one PC refused to work with the FixMeStick. I contacted the company and worked with a technician, who remotely scanned the problem PC. Everything is okay now. Their engineers are supposed to let me know why they think this one odd PC refused to cooperate with FixMeStick. This rating system allows whole stars; I would like to call it 4-1/2 stars. It's not the company's fault that I have an uncooperative PC. UPDATE: The company has stuck with me, and stood by their product. I wanted to find fault with them, but I guess this one is on me. The problem seemed to be with the FixMeStick, but evidently the problem is with that one computer. I hope I don't have to replace the motherboard.

Title: Not what I expected. Disappointed .
Review: It was fairly easy to use, however it didn’t find anything malicious nor did it remove anything.My CPU is very slow and I thought surely that this would improve my issues. I use the Norton Antivirus software routinely, so maybe this is for people who do not use virus protection at all?

Quite simply because the support the company gave.. there were loads of emails and live chats to help.. they did everything they could.. I know others that use these and work great.. if it was on their service alone it would have been a 5* it is just a shame.. fast refund too..

Review: Incredible product. It removed 4 viruses even though I pay for a service?! It is so simple to use. I was amazed at how well it worked. I've told so many people. Don't waste your time or money taking your infected computer to a shop, just buy this and use it once a month or so. Best money I ever spent! Thanks for an incredible product!
