Title: Lightweight, sturdy and attractive
Review: This transport chair is exactly what my elderly client needed. They had been using a rollater as a functional wheelchair, a very unsafe practice. My client refused use a traditional wheelchair with the large front wheels.I had difficulty lifting and fitting the traditional wheelchair into my trunk. This Medline transport chair is ideal. There is little assembly required and it goes together quickly. My client and I both like the ability to fold the foot rests to the side when not in use. I recommend this chair for its functionality, design and affordability. I do recommend you order a side pouch for the users convenience.

Title: Amazing chair for price paid!
Review: I had spent a good 16 hours, if not more, on the internet searching for a transport chair I could handle (lift) with my bad back, and was affordable. I am 77 with a diagnosis of spinal stenosis. There was no way I could port around, taking in and out of a car or van, a full size wheelchair. I do have a regular wheelchair and it weighs close to 50 pounds. Trying to lift this chair by myself in and out of my trunk or cargo area of my SUV was impossible for me to do without assistance. I travel fairly frequently both domestic and internationally and have a traveling companion with me to assist with pushing the chair. My traveling companion however, lives 1800 miles from me. I usually fly to meet him and we then leave from his house to destinations all over the world. My biggest challenge right now is getting to his house from mine. I live in the rural Midwest, and 110 miles from the closest airport I can fly out of. So I must have the ability to transport a chair from my house to the airport and in some cases going through 1 or 2 connecting airports, requiring me to claim my luggage and then recheck the luggage, at times including my checked chair, for the next leg of my trip. This was a daunting task while dealing with a 50 pound wheelchair. Ainât going to happen where I am now at, with limited mobility and lifting strength.Along came the Medline Ultralight chair. When they say ultralight, 15 lbs., they are not kidding. Absolutely no problem for me to first getting the chair into my car and van and back out to check in at the airport, as well as a checked bag and carryon. After getting to an airport shuttle with chair and bags and arrive at the airport for check in, I easily open the chair and set it up for being pushed. With the chair aiding me to take my luggage and the chair to check in, it becomes an easy task to get to my flight from there. At the counter, I take my bags out of the chair, fold up the chair for transport and check it as luggage along with my bag. I then wait for my airline wheelchair assistance that takes me and my carryon to the gate. Once at my destination, using airline wheelchair assistance again, get wheeled to bag claim, meet my travel assistant at bag claim, pick up my checked bag and the chair and we head off to our next adventure.I cannot tell you how well this chair is constructed and so easy to unfold and fold up for transport. I am still amazed at the light weight of the chair, and yet how well constructed and sturdy it is at the same time. I was skeptical about how sturdy the chair may be, but it is solid as a rock and very comfortable to sit in. Nothing looks or feels cheap about this chair. After taking this chair out of the box it came in, it took no more then 10 minutes to have the chair completely put together and ready for transport use. I could not have been more pleased with the purchase of the Medline Ultralight transport chair. I am sure you will be pleased as well if you purchase this chair. And if you do, wishing you and your new chair happy travels.

Title: Great Chair for Lightweight Casual Use
Review: My Dad,98, very healthy, slim at 130lbs, likes to take walks in parks. He has a walker, but his stride is getting shorter and shorter and he tires quickly. I bought this chair for our occasional needs so when he gets tired, he can sit and be easily and comfortably pushed. He leaves his walker in the car and with ease takes out the chair, incredibly easy to open and he actually pushes the chair!!- says itâs more comfortable to push this for his balanced walking than his dedicated walker! Then when he tires he sits on chair and it is soooo easy and lightweight I can push him with ease and I am small. Comfortable with extra seat pad, good wheels and feetrests. This was a great purchase, reasonable price and quality seems excellent. Solved our problem.

Title: Good in its class
Review: My wife broke her ankle, and we had to get a wheelchair ASAP. We picked this one, because when you pick it, they give you an estimated delivery date, which in our case was about 4 days over a weekend. Then a couple days later, it extended to 9 days. Then the next day the estimated delivery was 13 days. Fortunately, it came unexpectedly 10 days after it was ordered. The whole reason we bought it was because 1) we needed it ASAP, and 2) either Amazon or the manufacturer said they could get it to us in 4 days. So I dinged them a star. I felt the promise of a lie (in our circumstances) was inexcusable! (I know... 1st world problems). That said, its very well made for its class of lightweight, light-duty wheelchair. It doesn't have the bells and whistles if the high end chairs, but its smaller size and light weight make it easier to squeeze through tight places.Because of its light weight, transferring in and out is tricky. The attendant has to be the mass to keep it from moving or tipping. It does have very adequate brakes, but still might be a little top heavy with a particular side ways force. The foot rests support the feet in transit but do not extend upward and forward (to support the leg in an extended fashion). So if your knee was immobilized in a straight position, I can't imagine that this would help.It folds VERY easily, and its light weight makes transport a breeze. We ordered an "Auvon Ventilating Seat Cushion", which came on time as promised, and it helps add comfort to a decently comfortable seat (see photo). And the Auvon fits perfectly. It has a seat belt, which I wouldn't want to put to the test.. and little pockets (one ventilated) in its back (see second pic)The handle bars have clasps that seem sturdy, and allow the bars to fold down, which i find unnecessary for transport. I think, over time, they be be this chair's Achilles heel.Overall, for its class and price point, it's a very adequate, well made, fairly sturdy indoor mode of transport... and we'll only need it for 6 weeks.Or so the surgeon says. We hope his delivery estimate is better than Amazon's.
