My name is Allen, the creator of these sushi sets. As a father of three kids, it was difficult to make healthy food to satisfy my children. But it wasn’t until we made sushi together that things started to change. We love making sushi and enjoy eating fresh sushi so much that we want to share our joy with you.

Title: Do you need a whole kit??
Review: I’ll start buying saying I do like this, and I don’t regret buying it. That being said the most effective item in this kit is the bamboo mat. I tried the cylindrical piece first because it looked like the easiest way to make sushi, however the sushi fell apart as soon as I tried to cut it. The bamboo mat is actually really easy to use and you can make compact the sushi easily, which will allow it to hold together when you cut it. My recommendation just buy the mat, that’s all I use. (But I do think the chopsticks, little whale chopstick holders and little bowls are very cute and good quality).

Title: IT WORKS!
Review: Just starting out, I bought this kit to help make California Rolls. I’m not great using the mat, I had my own stainless chopsticks, I had no use for the little dishes or holders, and regardless of what you hear about wodden spoons soaked in water, the rice still sticks.. BUT, everything else is SUPER!I love the sushi tube. I recommend a very lisht spray of pam for every roll, as without the spray it can be very hard to push out the roll. Don't be afraid to slightly overstuff each half, as it will compress.I push out the completed roll onto a seaweed sheet, wet the outside of the edge, and roll it by hand. You can use the mat if you want, but I get a nice tight roll without it.The roll cutting fixture is great and works well. Use it on a cutting board though, as you can mark your countertop without it. The sushi knife needs to be sharpened, but once done, it is all I use. The small molds included work well.In all, an excellent kit for an excellent price, if you are just starting out making your own.
