Title: Good solid Filter Housing
Review: I am very impressed with this filter housing. I was a bit hesitant to try this brand, due to the fact that I bought a smaller version, that came with a mounting bracket so flimsy and made of cheap plastic. I had to actually build my own out of steel. Other than that I had no problems with the smaller version.I took the chance, and thankfully, this filter housing came with a good sturdy steel bracket. It does a great job.Here are some of the other features I like about this housing. First, it’s well made. It has the good steel bracket, plus the plastic main body is good and thick. It can take a lot of punishment. Also, I really like the clear housing. I like being able to see how the filter looks, without taking it apart.Another selling point for me was the. Brass female NPT threads. I used stainless steel fittings with it, so I ended up buying thread tape made specifically for stainless steel fittings, which sealed it up nice and tight. I just could not get it to seal completely using Teflon tape.The final selling point for me was the fact that it came with a water pressure gauge. I didn’t know if I would really use it or not, but I found that it’s very handy. For starters, I can see what kind of pressure the entire water system is at. I am on well water, so that’s a good thing to know. Also, I started out with a fairly limited water supply that supplies the filter housing. The pressure actually dropped extremely low, when I turned on the filter system that it goes to. Now I have the supply set up to where the pressure gauge shows that I have plenty of water flow and pressure.In conclusion, I would not hesitate to buy another one. I may actually be doing that soon. I have not had a single leak, it does its job very well, and I can keep a visual inspection on the filter. For what this cost, it’s a great value, and I definitely recommend it.

Review: The design of this filter housing is well thought out. The pressure guage as well as a double oring seal sold me. I always had trouble with my other filter housing leaking as it only had one oring.Buy without hesitation as you won't be sorry !

Title: Good filter, doesn’t include install fittings
Review: Item as described, quick shipping and great price. Keep in mind that you will need to source the fittings to complete the installation. Depending on what you need, these will cost as much or more than the actual filter and not available at most home improvement stores. I would still recommend.

Title: Now its so easy to swap out filters!
Review: We had just purchased our 30 yr old home and needed to change the whole house water filter. We had a very dated housing whereby we first had to shut off the house water supply, and my husband could barely open the previously installed filter housing unit because there wasn’t a vent to release the pressure. He installed this in a very short time, and he is very happy with it! Highly recommend! PS Always get a housing unit with a vent to make swapping out your old filters with a new one be a breeze!

Review: I needed to replace one of my filter cartridges on a two filter system. This looks quite good, but the input fitting does not match up with the Big Blue filter.
