From the bestselling author of the Gideon Johann Western Series and the Wild Horse Westerns Series comes the captivating new Western novel, Loose Ends!
Little does the reclusive Jake Mason know that his life is about to take a dramatic turn when he catches the tomato stealing Nicolette Amar sleeping in his shed. After years of living alone with only his dog, Cronus, Jake finds himself unable to turn his back on the runaway orphan once he learns of the girl’s plight, even if getting involved in another’s affairs clashes with every fiber of his being. The quest to find Nicolette a new home will cause Jake to revisit his past life as an outlaw and to face his daughter, Stacey, which he abandoned years ago. Will the hard-luck Nicolette find the home she so desperately wants? Can Jake make peace with his past and his daughter, and in the turn, provide Stacey the opportunity to forgive her father and be healed of her own demons? Loose Ends is a frolicking western that delves into how life choices can have consequences for decades on not only the person making those decisions, but those that they love.
Duane Boehm has written another western novel with enough humor, heartbreak, love, and outlaws to keep you turning the page.

Title: Mr. Boehm likes his readers & we should appreciate his writing style.
Review: Clean plot, good (bad) elements are well done. Hard to find any dislikes. Too bad most of the cowboy plots are 70-110 years old. Thanks Mr. Boehm. Wichita Lawyer

Title: Great Read
Review: I loved how the characters pulled you into their story. I will have to admit that Duane Boehm knows how to pull you into his story and get you emotionally involved. My heart went hot Jake that wanted to be hermit and how a young orphan started to bring out the compassion of the old Jake and his love for the family he deserted.

Title: Loose Ends
Review: Emotional and heartwarming. Loved this story! After Jake confronts by a runaway girl in his barn our little tomato thief changes his life for the better and in trying to secure a better life for Nicolette an orphan train adoptee who has been abused by her new father seeks to mend the wrongs he has caused his daughter Stacy. They come to learn how to cope with the situation that develop. The characters of this story were what made the story for me. You'll find yourself shedding a tear or two and rooting for Stacy to allow herself to be loved and give Dr. Jonas a chance.

Review: Duane Boehm really set up the relationships well, and as loose ends entangled the lead characters, I felt the tug on my own feelings. I loved the story. Sure, Colorado 150 years ago was a less predictable place for raising a family, but although there had to be some fireworks, he kept that aspect to a minimum while concentrating on how relationships develop or fall apart and whether we grow from disappointment or are crushed by it. Sounds heavy? No. It flows and I read it right through.

Review: Una storia leggermente differente dalle solite. Meno azione e più introspezione. Molto toccante in alcuni punti con una descrizione degli eventi e dei sentimenti dei vari personaggi molto accurata. Mi è piaciuto molto!

Review: Such a riveting tale. Gritty, but gorgeous. The characters are slap your face and in your face. Unpredictable and occasionally using more than one of their nine lives. Just had to keep reading. Left me wanting more.
