“[This] thought-provoking novel continues the Reverend Curtis Black series” with the New York Times–bestselling story of his scandalous newlywed daughter (Booklist).

Readers who just can’t get enough of the Reverend Curtis Black—the charming con man and insufferable womanizer who stars in Sin No More, The Best-Kept Secret, and other acclaimed, bestselling novels by Kimberla Lawson Roby—are going to love his daughter, Alicia. In The Best of Everything, Alicia Black takes center stage while the rascally pastor stands on the sidelines, and Roby triumphs once again. The Best of Everything is provocative entertainment—because when it comes to outrageous behavior, “like father, like daughter” definitely applies.

“The Best of Everything is one of the best things you’ll put on your shopping list this week.” —Tennessee Tribune

Title: LOVED THIS BOOK!!!
Review: Very well written and an easy quick read. Yes the very spoiled Alicia shops and shops it wasn't aggravating because she was scheming and trust I have seen folks shop like that. And what did any of us expect..she the daughter of Rev Curtis...she has always been spoiled. It was great that Ms. Roby mentioned other characters from the past also that we know and love or at least wonder what they have been up to. The novel was also balanced out with really good characters like her BFF Mel and her own husband Phillip who was a saint to deal with her..but not a wimp (very realistic)..too bad she doesn't appreciate him. Very funny at times, at times I wanted to shake her...and that ending ooh wee...I'm already starting the next book. Fabulous read.

Title: Like father, like daughter
Review: Wow, what a topic filled story. From shopping addiction to infidelity. Dishonesty, lying, and deceit. I'm hopeful that Alicia as well as others with addiction get help needed. This theme teaches that bad behavior and it's results can be harmful. Be aware of your actions and the consequences for your loved ones. Very good book, so many lessons as usual. Starting book seven soon. Another winner author, Kimberla. I can visualize the scenes with your books. Like reading with a movie in my mind.

Title: Good read, very predictable
Review: Good read, easy, entertaining, however, very predictable. Alicia is definitely a baby Curtis. Great way to make the time pass on my 4 hour plane ride

Title: Love anything about the Reverend Curtis Black
Review: I am rereading entire series for the second time in the order they were written. At first I would just buy whatever I could find but I had to go back start the entire seriies. Wonderful books! Love OLD and reading other novels written by her as well. KLR and Brenda Jackson are my favorite authors. Met them both at the Jacksonville book fair!

Title: Loved it!
Review: I love Kimberla Lawson Roby, she came to a local bookstore here in Michigan and she was down to earth. At the time she was promoting One in a Million. And all of her work is precise and the books catches you from beginning to end. You will expect one thing but will get something different which makes the book even more interesting. I read all her books in 2 days. This for those who have not read it, I will not spoil it but I am sure we all know 1 or 2 people like the character Alica. Awesome read!

Title: Young 22 has a lot to learn!
Review: I'm listening to the audio of The Best of Everything read by Caroline Clay and so far, I'm enjoying it. Even though it's more about a 22 year old and her issues. Don't know if I can releate to a 22 year old when I'm older and wiser. I'm going to finish it this week because that young 22 is getting on my nerve. She has not learned enough, but I'm sure Roby will make sure she does. The narrarator is clear and doesn't try to sound like a man or women when she reads the different characters, It does help to hear the characters in a different tone, but she still works it well.
