Title: Solid product, well made, good quality optics for the price
Review: Pros:- Well made- Good optics for the price- Price- Size- Can be connected to a smartphone using a 3rd party smartphone holder. I recommend the SVBONY smartphone holder. Take note it's tricky to mount if you have a multi-camera smartphone. I built an additional part to make sure i don't get too much glare in the lenses which affects the quality of image captured by the smartphone.- I can see sun spots of the sun (Warning: I have to use a solar filter in front of the telescope to protect my eye. I built the filter adapter myself. Please see pictures)- It's great even if it is dark.Cons- The tripod mounting nut can detach if you tighten the tripod screw too much. Don't apply too much twisting torque as it can pop out of the hole.- The nylon accessory that you attach at the right side of the scope to allow you to securely hold the telescope with one hand is a bit difficult to insert in the holes provided. It is also difficult to lock it in place as the nylon strap just slides off easily. It's not a deal breaker but I wish it was designed better and the nylon strap should be a bit longer in length to allow a better locking grip between the nylon and the locking buckle.Observation:I am not sure if this is a real 10x . I have an 8x binoculars and when I check the image magnifications, they are almost the same. I don't mind because it is still very usable. Other scopes in the market are not properly rated. They say it's 80x50 but in reality the 80x is more like 8x and they fail to mention that 80x is if you use the 10x digital zoom function of a smartphone which to me will just give you very crappy images. Don't fall for it. 8x to 12x is the most usable for nature tripping or hunting. Anything above 12x will require you to use a stable tripod. 10X42 for me is the sweet spot. Enough magnification, not too heavy and bulky compared to 8x50's.Update 4/19: I compared it to my binoculars with 8x magnification and I can confirm that the images in this 10x monocular are slightly larger vs the 8x bino.I used it with a Samsung S22 and Samsung A54 during the solar eclipse to take videos of the event. I fabricated additional components to be able to mount a solar film that also looked good, and an additional part that prevents glare on the lens where the smartphone is mounted. I had to fabricate it because the smartphone adapter I bough did not come with one, and it will still work without the anti-glare thingy. I used the smartphone adapter from SVBONY and it securely mounted my smartphone behind the telescope. Do take note it takes some patience to align the lens to the scope. If you combine it with a smartphone, your magnification power increases depending on the capability of the smartphone. Some smartphones have digital magnifications, some have optical and digital magnifications. My smartphone is equipped with 3x magnification which gave me a theoretical optical magnification of 30x. If you use your naked eye, 10x is more than enough for a hand held. Coupling it with the smartphone's camera will require you mount your scope on a tripod. Without the tripod, you will get bad images or shaky videos.Note: if you plan to shoot photos using a smartphone with it, It's much trickier to use a smartphone with multi-camera lenses but after some testings and tinkering, I was able to find the right settings that allowed me to zoom clearly with enough lighting and no vignetting. It takes patience and practice.I have not tested the water proof feature because i have no intention of using it on a rainy or watery environment. If the opportunity arises or if I get into a wet situation then I'll probably use it but I will not intentionally submerge it.The 10x42 is just about the right size for me. It's light, but not plasticky light. The size allows me to put it inside my winter jacket pocket. It's a perfect all around tool. It's also a perfect tool for inspecting some installations that's more than 10 feet high or that are too far to climb. It comes with a diopter knob but I am not sure if you really need to adjust it. There is already a focusing knob available. I normally do not touch the diopter adjustment. I just leave it and I adjust the focus via the focusing knob which is very accessible and easy to use. It's durable. It already fell once from about 3 feet of height and it survived. I already used it for long hours under the sun.The video I attached is digitally cropped in post processing and was originally magnified equal to 20x (optical). With a solar film attachment that I fabricated, I was also able to use it also without the smartphone and I can clearly see the sun spots! and the image was a lot bigger than that what was captured in a smartphone without using digital magnification. The small picture of the sun in t he sample pictures is what you'll get when shooting pictures from a smartphone without the use of the zoom function of the smartphone. The picture of the helicopter shows black areas. If you don't want the black areas, you simply use the zoom function and you instantly get full screen. take note that the quality of the image will depend on your smartphone's zoom feature.Overall, I love the scope and it's definitely a keeper.

Title: Amazing customer support, great value
Review: I purchased a Usogood monocular a couple of months ago because I have a vision issue that makes binoculars difficult to use (and I wanted a little more zoom). Now I am obsessed with it for birding and sightseeing--easy to use, lightweight, small enough for toting around all day. I have taken it on many out-of-state trips and even took it to England with me. If you have struggled with using binoculars or just don't like how clunky they are, I encourage you to try the Usogood 10x42 Monocular. The zoom is high enough that you get great views, but not so dramatic that you will struggle to find your landmarks.Somehow, in my travels, I found that moisture had entered the tube (not sure how or why). Although I was able to get some of it to evaporate, the monocular wasn't able to get those crisp, close views I had come to expect. I contacted Usogood because the item was under warranty and the customer support I received was excellent. They were kind and they quickly replaced my item with a brand new one. Shipping was fast and communication was clear. I took a chance on an inexpensive monocular because I thought I could field test it to decide if I wanted to invest in a higher end version, but I am so happy with the function of the Usogood item and the customer service really can't be beat. I would purchase from Usogood again.

Title: Good for short-distance viewing
Review: I am a target shooter. I have monoculars for longer distances, but itâs just about impossible to use them for distances under 7 yards. So I bought this for when I shoot at shorter distances- 5 or 6 yards, typically. It had a focus knob that is easy to use, focuses sharply. It is easy to hold and comes with nice case, for storage. At the shorter distances, I can see the shot pattern clearly.

Title: BEST monocular - my 3rd time purchasing this one!
Review: Iâm an avid birder and my mum is becoming interested in birding as well. However she struggles to use binoculars because her prescription is slightly different for her left eye than her right and binoculars focus both eyes together. This monocular was the perfect solution for her and for such a great price! No they donât work like my Swarovski bins but theyâre a fraction of the price. The wrist strap broke after a while but no surprise as she uses these almost daily on her walks. Now she just wears the case with the shoulder strap and itâs just as convenient. Next my dad asked for this same monocular for hiking to enjoy distant mountains, and for traveling in Europe to enjoy detailed architecture on high ceilings and buildings. I just bought a third monocular to keep in my car, to use for IDing raptors and stuff while driving. Itâs so great and cheap I couldnât help myself! Canât recommend this monocular enough!!!!!

Title: Its Ok
Review: x10 seems like a bit of a stretch. For the cost I can see my bullet holes in targets at 75 feet clearly, and thats what it is good for but I have 20/20 vision and I cannot see fine details at 200 feet. I would call this, at best, a x5 scope. But it does the trick for the close range shooting, its light and cheap, and pretty convenient. The front cap flap broke off really fast, but it still sticks on protecting the lens, and its easier to operate with it separate anyways, so no complaints. It gets the job done, id buy it again.

Title: Great value
Review: So far, this monocular is a great value. Not too heavy, nice little case, hand strap could use some work. The hand strap loosened up when I went to put my hand thru it, but maybe it was my installation. Overall, very pleased with it.

Review: For the price this is a really good value, and a great addition for birdwatching. I keep mine in my car so itâs instantly available. The Monocular is very sturdy and good value, light and easy to hold, and the focussing wheel is easier than the ones on the barrel itself. The optics are clear and bright. I have an expensive scope which is great but for handiness this Monocular is good. I have used other more expensive Monoculars but this one gives a better performance than they did. I would recommend this for anyone, particularly I think for someone who may find it difficult to hold a full pair of binoculars

Review: Got given these as a birthday gift. They are my first pair of binoculars and straight out the box they were really easy to use. The dust caps will keep them clean and they come in a carry bag. Bag and straps arenât the best quality but this doesnât bother me much. Iâve been using them for bird spotting and there working great. Decent zoom and depth of focus. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Review: The quality is amazing, comfortable to hold and not too heavy yet the clarity is equal to that of a stupidly priced leading brand which is a few thousand to buy. I am really pleased, feel quite smug knowing I have the same magnification capabilities in my hand but for a minuscule fraction of the price!Comes with a case, cover caps, wrist loop and instructions.
