Title: Balanced, easy, and REALISTIC!
Review: As a long-time Feeding Littles follower, I preordered this book back in March and it was well worth the wait. In a world where social media has convinced us that every lunchbox needs to be a completely homemade, Pinterest-perfect, culinary masterpiece, it is SO refreshing to have “I can’t even” (as Megan and Judy lovingly call it) options that are still healthy and balanced. As a busy working mom who often suffers from decision fatigue, it is SO nice to have one less thing on my mental plate. My 3-year-old is a selective eater, we follow a vegetarian diet, and her school is nut-free, so packing lunches can be tricky, but every single lunchbox in the book contains meatless, allergen-friendly, AND picky-eater-approved alternatives, which I am so grateful for. The photos are also beautiful and make it easy for my toddler to choose the lunches that are most appealing to her. I also love that many of the lunches use packaged and premade foods (which can of course be substituted for a homemade version if desired). As a household that does rely on packaged options for many snacks and meals, it is validating to know that they can still be part of a nutritious lunchbox. Overall, this book is amazing and makes packing lunches feel doable and even FUN! I may even be copying some of these ideas for my own work lunchbox!

Title: Practical, healthy, and kid friendly
Review: I really like this inspo book for the following reasons:- The pictures are lovely and great for kids. My daughter looked through this with me and marked lunches she thought looked good.- It’s so practical. The lunch ideas are realistic and don’t have specialized ingredients. They are also easy for kids to prep! My my toddler and kindergartener are able to help prepare their own lunches.- It’s so nice to have variations on a basical, go-to lunch as well ideas for “deconstructing” meals to make them packable lunches. My kindergartener is still learning to like some foods so this is a great option for her to be exposed to new things that feels safe to her. Also, I think the highest recommendation to be offered is that my kids are both actually eating the lunches that are packed.

Title: Excellent book with lunch ideas for toddlers and kids!
Review: This book is exactly what I was looking for! I'm a pretty decent home cook and have two little kids who are starting to become picky eaters, so I purchased this book for lunch (and general meal) ideas. First, this is a beautifully photographed and well organized book. Secondly, even for lunch ideas i'm familiar with, I've gotten new ideas for what to serve with it. I love this and would recommend it to anyone who has kids who are on the picky side and you're trying to correct that.

Title: Review for caregivers of selective (picky) eaters
Review: There are a lot of reviews on what a great book this is. If you are like me, you’re thinking “great, but my family is different. Will it work for us?” This review is for the parents of selective (picky) eaters. My boys both have autism. They probably eat less than 20 foods. Even most kid-food they don’t touch. So why do I love this book? ❤️ First of all, if you follow Feeding Littles you know there is no judgment. It is really hard to get my boys to eat something other than a PB&J (three times a day). I love that the authors “get it” that your kiddo might not eat some things, and it is not a reflection on you as a parent. I struggle so much with providing balanced food choices but also food my kids will eat. Then there is a lot of text with tons of helpful info in the front half of the book. They explain their lunch formula to help you guide you to packing a great lunch with whatever you have at home. I really appreciated the sections on picky eaters as well as how the cafeteria environment can affect what your kid does/does not eat. They walk through examples of a lunch and how you can modify it each day to mix it up just a little. One example used PB&J which is the safe food of choice for my son. The rest of the book is sample lunches. Real actual photos of lunches. There are so many photos! My boys can be super selective but books and pictures help them get excited about a new food. Some families just put a small portion of a new food on a plate, we start with just looking at a photo. It is a great way to talk about the texture and appearance of a food and prepare to taste it. I can show the picture and they can point to what they want or what they are willing to try. Choices and questions can overwhelm them, so a visual picture they can point to is SUPER HELPFUL. Lunches they “want” get packed and “willing to try” we plan to introduce on weekends when their safe foods are nearby. Did I mention there is a “picky eating tip” on EVERY SINGLE LUNCH!! 🤯 GF/DF/SF? Yup there are allergy swaps on most lunches as well. Having a book where my boys can point to something to try in their lunch AND takes little prep work on my part… it is truly a gift. I hope that this review gives you the confidence to give this book a try. If you are anything like me, adding even two new foods to the lunchbox is worth its weight in gold.

Review: I am so glad we bought this book. Our family has always struggled with coming up with ideas for school lunches. This book gives so many ideas that are easy and simple, and they’re still healthy for the kids. And because it’s visual, it’s also easy for our kids to see and choose what kinds of food they would like to have for their lunch. Highly recommend this book!

Review: I really wanted to like this book and thought I’d find it helpful for my toddler who has packed lunch and tea at his childminders. However there are no new or interesting ideas - most are sandwiches (like peanut butter), fruit and snacks (like smarties). There are no recipes that I was hoping for. There are no ideas in here that i hadn’t already thought of sadly.

Review: The pages of my book are already crinkled because my soon to be kinder kid was so excited figuring out options for lunch. Having a book like this makes school a little less scary and a lot more exciting! He’s always been on a set menu at daycare so the idea of packing lunches has been really daunting for me. This book is something we can explore together so he can try new things.I love that each set up has options for nut-free, vegetarian, picky eating, “I can’t even” for easy shortcuts, and toddler meals. It also talks a lot about balancing nutrient dense options with a small sweet treat so they learn how to enjoy all types of food. Regardless of allergy rules your school has, this truly can benefit anyone with kids in school.

Review: I've returned this book. Absolutely pointless. I don't need to spend £20 to be told to give my toddler a sandwich and some chopped grapes. Nothing that interesting or creative. Really really disappointing. Don't understand the positive reviews at all.
