Title: Great item. Couple flaws in general.
Review: As other have written. The heating element seems off. Does not brown evenly.The "on" lights are probably installed off center.Non stick works great. from the 1st one. Never had a problem.Now to the direction book. It comes with a recipe for the cookies. Not sure where they got it from. the mix is more of a dough then what I am used to. Added about 1/ cup of water to thin is out. makes the cookies thinner like I grew up on. also. not impressed on the flavor of it.Overall. I do recommend this item.

Title: Where’s the pictured “Brush/Scraper”?
Review: I basically like it. However, in the manual, it shows a picture of a brush/scraper which unfortunately was not in the box at all. I proceeded without it and it turns out to be a VERY essential piece of the puzzle as, even using spray cooking oil as directed, and even despite the so-called “nonstick” metal baking plates, there develops quite a lot of cooked crumbs etc that stick in the small grooves. You really need that brush/scraper! I tried a variety of on hand cooking brushes etc none of which did the job; pig bristle melted and curled under the very high heat of the plates. I’ve searched for the appropriate brush/scraper after my first use without one and had no luck. So, my advice is to be sure you are buying a pizzelle model that INCLUDES a brush/scraper that can stand up to high heat. You’ll need it!
