Usually I need to replace one if not properly buried to avoid aggressive lawn mowers.One issue - usually (but not always) these come with a necessary adjustment tool Also, some versions are sold with a single “standard” nozzle rather than the kit of alternate selectable models for various spray patterns.

Review: My irrigation system is over 15 years old. This spring one of the heads broke. In the past I called the sprinkler company and for $150 they came out & replaced the head.Doing it myself cost $27 (for 2 heads). It did not come with the adjustment tool as shown, however I already had one.There are several on line videos showing explicitly how to remove & install. I'm happy to say that I was able to complete everything in about 1/2 hour and the new head fit perfectly.When removing the old head, make sure to keep soil away from where you removed the old head. Otherwise you might end up with a clog in the new head.It's a simple procedure, don't be afraid to save yourself over $100.
