Review: This is a really nice book for kids, written by an expert from Oxford University, very smooth and heartfelt and not at all snobbish or cynical. I gave it to a 6/7 year old kid who is passionate about Ancient Greece and sleeps with it every night, but I am sure it's good for older ages too.
