Title: Jackie Blue Will Rock On Forever!!!
Review: I was born in 1963. I bought this album just because it had "Jackie Blue" by the Ozark Mountain Daredevils and "Rock On" by David Essex. Those were literally the first rock and roll songs I ever heard on the radio. You know that feeling when you're about to become a teenager and you know that life will never be the same? That's how I felt when I listened to "Jackie Blue." You know that feeling that all of life is full of mystery and you're picking up clues everywhere you go? That's how I felt when I listened to "Rock On." Years before I actually heard "Summertime Blues" or "Blue Suede Shoes" I felt like somehow I'd been warned that these songs would change my life. And they did! And years before I ever saw "Rebel Without A Cause" I had a total feeling that it was the greatest movie ever made, just because of the way the breathless singer goes, "Jimmy Dean . . . Jimmy Dean . . ." and then the voice of God corrects him . . . "JAMES Dean."After all that, the rest of this album was just gravy. It was great to hear "The Boys Are Back In Town" again. "Fooled Around And Fell In Love" took me right back to the summer of 1976. "Heart Of Glass" was bad, but not quite as bad as I remembered. And I was surprised to find I'm a lot funkier than I was forty years ago, because as a teen I couldn't handle "Brick House" by the Commodores (too sexy and downright nasty) but now I really like it. Oh, but make sure to skip over Poco, 10cc, and Todd Rundgren.Because they suck!

Title: Good enough...
Review: I am not a fan of various artist compilations... but I have purchased several as of late to purchase songs from one hit wonders or other artists whose records I would not otherwise purchase... and they can be enjoyed in the car when more eclectic interests come together. This is one of the best various artist compilations I have come across. The song selection is fabulous, though I could compile a far superior collection... but then that is why this is worth being purchased. Can any encompassing compilation from the 1970's not include solo material from Paul, George and John? Can the 1970's be represented without Crosby, Stills and Nash or without anything from Paul Simon (with or without Art Garfunkel)? Can the 1970's be mentioned without Carly Simon or HEART? How can not one of the arena masters not be included: STYX, JOURNEY, REO SPEEDWAGON, FOREIGNER or QUEEN? ...the list would go on and on and on and on.The reason this is not a truly masterful collection is because of that... its mastering. The sound quality is average at best. The sound quality seems to be nothing more than an amplified engineered version of the original 1980's/early 1990's compact disc releases. There is no genuine editing or remastering done at all (and trust me as I have over half of these songs on the original RE-MASTERED albums or greatest hits releases from the original artists.)But again... for a great mixture of fabulous songs from musics greatest decade... it is hard to find a set any better than this one.

Title: Awesome CD
Review: This CD is "GOLD"! I got this as a gift for my father who is in his mid-60's. He absolutely love it, says it has a good selection of classics on it he loves from his day and he listens to it when driving around doing errands or whatever in his truck. Great find.

Title: A good mixture
Review: My friend wanted a good 1970s mix CD for his truck. Not everybody wants to download to an MP3 or phone, or subscribe to a music service/ pay for unlimited data. Not everyone has the know-how/technology access/ internet coverage for newfangled music services! Some folks just want to pop a CD into the player and that's ok! This is a good mix!
